Don't buy it.

published

Bought Veet Wax Strips "New Formula".
I have never used the previous strips so I can't comment on how they compare but it barely gets any hairs. If I'm going to nearly rip the skin off my leg, you better believe I want those hairs gone.
Terrible product, don't waste your money. Buy better wax strips or go to a salon if you can. Reluctant to try any of their other wax products for fear they're as poor.

Not reusable !

published

Always used veet wax strips before. This new gel formulae is definitely Not reusable, used 20 to do two half legs and ended up having to use a razor. I won't be using them again

The new formula sucks

published

I really liked these strips before they changed them. The new "formula" doesn't work as well, the paper backing tears too easy and it leaves more wax on my skin. Bring back the old strips and I will buy them again.

Horrendous!!!!!!!!! Use at your own peril!

published

First time I have used this and never again. Strips did not remove much hair and left gel on my legs which I had to scrub off for ages. My legs are now very sore and sticky. I intend fully to contact the company to complain

Terrible

published

I tried out these wax strips as opposed to shaving. They were horrendous. The wax strips are very messy and each one only works once. Hardly any of the hair was removed and my skin has developed small red bumps which have remained three weeks on! I'm not happy

Horrible! Do not buy!

published

I wanted to try veet wax strips instead of shaving and when I bought them it didn't removed hardly any hair! You can't even lay the wax strip down without the wax sticking to something and it won't come off! Even with boiling water and cleaning spray! Such a waste of money! Would not recommend to anyone!!

Terrible product, total wastage of money and time

published

Terrible product. I tried it on underarms but hardly some hairs were removed. When tried on legs it didn't pull all the hairs. Strips are messy and not at all effective. Highly disappointed. Never recommend it to anybody. Wastage of money. Totally in loss. Never expected this from veet.

Not impressed

published

I got tired of shaving and wanted to give waxing a go, so I got these when on sale. Big regret. When I ripped the strips off my legs, around half of the hair stayed put, even after I tried multiple times. What's more, quite a bit of the wax came off the strips and got stuck onto my skin and it's quite difficult to get it off without the finishing wipes - of which there were nowhere near enough. In the end I had some rashes and sensitive pores from where the hairs were ripped out, making the skin bumpy to the touch. I still had to shave/tweeze my legs to get rid of the rest of the hair...

Please please make sure you test it before use. I got the extra sensitive facial waxing strips and my face came up in a massive red rash swollen and very irritated. Be careful!

New formula- poor results

published

I have used Veet with good results for many years and was confident of the results I could achieve. However, new formula, new packaging makes the product look impressive in the packet, despite making sure the wax was warm large sections of wax came away on the skin from the waxy paper strips on use. I used two full strips on the front of one lower leg, with lots of residual hairs remaining, old formula/strips I could do both lower legs with two strips. Gave up and shaved in this instance. Waste of money and I won't be buying again.

Easy to use when you're in a hurry.

published

I have pretty sensitive skin & have been using this product for a number of years on the sides of my face and upper lip. The application is easy, quick and has never left my skin irritated.

Being ethnic, my hair is quite coarse but would only recommend it on softer hair - I find for the wax strip to grip the hair effectively on my upper lip, I need to let the hair grow around 3-4 mm (which I refuse to do!)

Overall a pretty awesome product for not so coarse hair.
Easy, not much residue, priced ok, no irritation
Doesn't quite grip thicker short hair : (

Great, quick & easy to use mess free!

published

Great product no overheating pots in the microwave that boil over, no getting the stick stuck in the pot and having to be a pro in handling and spreading the wax... This strip has it all done for you just heat between your hands (I find putting some under my leg while I'm sitting helps so that it's pre-warmed so you don't have to rub so hard) and place and then rip off! No mess no sticky fingers no drip wax all over it's the easiest. I buy the big box from big w $14.76 for box of 40 I don't think that's expensive esp if you compare it to salon waxing prices!
Easy use, clean and mess free, cheap, good smell, great after wax strips in box
Nothing it's great!

Good

I bought this for emergency's for when I ran out of my usual hot wax. This product surprisingly picks up alot of the hair. I bought the pink box one, great packaging and there are plenty of strips in there. Very happy with the product. Not a cheap alternative to buying it in a pot or great for the environment. But great for spares/emergencies. I will buy again.
Nice smelling scent.
It sometimes took an entire packet to use on my legs

Cold wax strips are ideal for hair removal - quick & easy to use, not too painful, slow regrowth. I use them in between epilating when the hair on my legs gets too long to epilate.
I've tried most cold wax strips and Veet is my favourite. Easy to use, no mess and available in an economical 40 pack.
Environmental issues (waste) if you use them all the time - I can go through a whole pack when doing a full leg wax.

OK

I wouldn't recommend them for everyday waxing, more for touch ups or areas with only a little hair. They are wonderfully convenient though and great for travelling when you can't warm up regular wax and muck around with fabric strips.
Very convenient- I used these when travelling and they were great for touch ups along the way- I've even used them on a bus!
They smell lovely.
I doubt whether these would work for full-on waxing- I only needed touch ups after a salon wax and even then I had to go over and over a couple of places. Make sure you buy baby oil at the same time as the wax won't rinse off in water.
They are easy to use but lose their stick quickly so I don't think they last as long as the product claims.
