Works exactly as expected
Its a push mower, not electric or petrol, so those expecting as good a job or ease of use are simply just here to complain and not enjoy the simplicity of this device.
I honestly didnt expect as good a job from my new push mower as I got on first use after reading all the reviews here before buying it. Thankfully I was able to see past most of the negativity and am extremely happy with my purchase. Its easy to use, lightweight and sturdy. Ps: Im a 70kg female who isnt overly fit, but managed to do both front and back yard easily.

e very uneven / unlevel ground, lots of rocks, lots of large branches, etc on your lawn then it will most likely cause the push mover blades to get stuck. Its a given, its not electric and cant easily handle these items! Keeping that in mind, we have some dog dug holes, small to medium twigs, small rocks and varied grass varieties on our front and back lawn and managed to mow both easily. Yes the blades locked up occasionally, but that was no surprise. It was easy to unlock by removing the caught in twig or reversing then going forward again. Adjusting the blade to a suitable height helps too, a higher height will give more room to go over larger twigs and rocks easily. I also could have racked the yard prior mowing but was too lazy and eager to just get going with the mower. We left the catcher off and let the cuttings fall back onto the lawn to help with new growth. Our cut lawn looked equally as good as any other in the street cut with an electric or petrol mower. The only minor negatives is its noisier than I expected. For a push mower I though tg it would be much quieter. The handle does feel a tad flimsy because of its multi-joints. We tightened the handle bots as tight as possible to try an eliminate this as much as possible.

Cant do thorough test
I bought this mower a week ago and have not been able to give it much of a workout because the handle does not stay rigid. Even after tightening the plastic covered nuts to close to breaking point it still flops around. The actual machine looks quite solid and well engineered. I hope Victa can solve this problem.

Love this mower!
Really great budget mower. It's easy to manoeuvre and cuts my lawn like a dream, complete with twigs, sticks and small rocks. It hardly ever jams...only when a large rock or stick gets mowed over.

Good cut, simple mower
Got this just to take the tips off my Kikuyu, works great. People experiencing jams should maybe google how to set up the blade distance to the bed knife. Only weak point is the 3 piece handle, 2 piece would have been sturdier but it appears to have been made 3 piece so the whole mower goes in a smaller box. I'd read the blades were really flimsy but they are fine, mowing over a yard full of sticks is a job for a petrol mower. Mow regularly, say twice w eek and you'll love it. It works great for the price and the front lawn looks like a bowling green. Plus I can mow in thongs. Would buy again.

IT'S A LITTLE RIPPER!
For what it is and price point, I am very happy at how well it mows 200sqm of winter green lawn. It is light weight and easy to push around.
Took a couple of mows to get the feel and get the momentum right and this little beauty does what I expected it to do.
My neighbours would laugh and have a joke with me when I first used it, but every one of them can't believe how my lawn has turned out.
I've had it now for over 6 months and use it fortnightly and now being summer, I'm out there almost weekly and haven't had any issues.

Blunts very quickly
4 month old hand mower used once a fortnight was fine for 4 mowes then seems blunt need a lot of force to push 1 meter can’t use need to use my petrol mower which defeats the purpose of having a hand mower
Extremely disappointed Bunnings purchase!

Waste of Money
I bought this absolute piece of rubbish from Bunnings as I only had a small lawn. After two exhausting and frustrating mows, with it constantly jamming, I have consigned it to the junk heap. Don't waste your money.

Love it!
Have a mix of couch and weeds and handles it well even at the lowest settings. Catcher isn't the greatest but I mow often enough to not worry about it. Yeah sure it doesn't like sticks but it's designed to cut grass. Easy to adjust. Seems to be the bad reviews are Ill adjusted blades

Do not buy this mower
I'm here to tell you not to buy this mower, there are others way better. I read the not so good reviews but still went out to buy one from Bunnings as the place I live at has a small yard and the lawn is quite flat. Well, it was a fail. I tried to love it but after the second go I gave up. Nearly every metre or so it would jam up with small twigs. It would only move every few feet and then jam up again. The most frustrating experience ever. Returning it tomorrow.

Practical and cost effective but shows some serious flaws.
This is not a bad unit. It has 3 settings for height. Cuts cleanly. It is much lighter than motor mower. Cost to benefit is positive overall.
There are several problems.
1. It can get stuck on very small twigs and sticks (<5mm) this can also occur if grass builds up behind the blades. These need to be pulled out and I do not like putting my fingers near blades.
2. The handles can pull out from the cutting mechanism if twisted slightly. The 2 pins on each side are not well designed for this unit.
3. The grass catcher is just terrible. It falls...Read more

coping well with defects
I have used this mower successfully regularly for two years on couch and buffalo. I never use the catcher. The handle assembly has to be screwed tightly initially to avoid twisting, then no further issues. The contact cylinder blades do bend easily with knocks, creating a knocking sound and sometimes seizing. This requires two hammers to periodically straighten the bent blade[s] to retune the machine. The tuning mechanism to adjust blade to base plate height is well ...Read more
described in the instructions, but not bent cylinder blade straightening technique. It cuts most grass types well when tuned. The contact type blade mechanism remains effective after two years of use with no resharpening nor lapping required. Slightly louder than my non contact type push mower [Alko no longer sold], but slightly better cutting on all grass types.Purchased at Bunnings Warehouse for A$99.00.

Victa Razor cut Reel mower
I just got off the phone with Briggs & Stratton customer service, makers of Victa razor cut mower. I informed them that I am now returning my Victa razor cut replacement mower for the 4th time for the same fault nearly everyone else on this forum has complained about.
They told me they were not aware of any complaints regarding this mower. They directed me to take it to a local dealer (not Bunnings) for an assessment of the fault.
On my last trip to Bunnings after my 2nd Victa razor cut mower jammed, (like the 1st) I was told I was the the onl...Read more

Utter piece of garbage. Save your time and money.
The first time I used this mower it worked really well and I was very happy. The second time it jammed, so we adjusted it up. It didn't jam very much but also didn't do a particularly good job. We put it down to the grass being short, but it did feel very different to the first time. The next time I used it, it was just okay, but did keep jamming even though there was nothing getting caught in it. Then today, when we tried, it just locked up altogether and it will only go backwards. I thought about trying to adjust it again, but when I read all...Read more
the reviews on here that say their mowers are doing exactly the same thing, I decided to just return it. Very, very disappointed. I thought Victa and Bunnings were brands we could trust, but this combination (the Victa 16" push mower) is a disaster for both companies. Don't buy it.Purchased in September 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse for A$99.00.

This is junk!
This mower should be taken off the market. I only purchased it yesterday, put it together today and not only is it already jammed, the blades will not move either backwards or forwards! Bunnings should be ashamed of themselves!

It's alright
I have used this mower for two days now. So not a long term review. I'd say I have a medium sized back and front yard to deal with.
The mower cuts the grass very well. The blades did lock up on the second day after bumping it around a few times. But instead of kicking it and returning it, like a few on this review site did, I read the manual, found the issue being one side of the blade couldn't get around (probably because of the bumps it recieved) and I fixed the issue with an allen key. So the mower is mowing again, just as good as it did at...Read more
the start. The people who have given it poor reviews and returned it because it has locked up probably throw everything out once it stops working, instead of fixing things. They probably didn't even read the manual to look for a solution. Look forward to using this mower for many years to come. If my opinion changes I'll post another review.Purchased in October 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse for A$99.00.

Blades lock up!
Absolute piece of junk! Blades are so flimsy they bend at the slightest bump or smallest stick getting caught. Mine didn’t last a day then Bunnings queried my ability to adjust the blades. Just returned it and bought another Bosch - last one lasted 5 years with no issues (plastic ratchet does wear out though). I thought Victa was a decent brand - shame!

Locked up after a small part of the lawn mowed
I love how it mowed, but disappointed after a few mows the wheels locked. The bar that is supposed to sharpen the blades slips and then blocks the wheel from turning. Given this seems to be a common trait, it's a bad purchase.

WOW, same happened to mine !
Purchased from Bunnings, and mowed once ( very small area ) and all ok. Second time, after few mins, wheels locked, could not go forward. Took back to bunnings, and was told mowers have been coming back with same problem! ( so gave refund) Now l read this review to see it seems to be flaw with them. Hope Victa can change this, as Victa is known for good products, but please dont purchase it until fixed.

Impressed after first use
I was a bit hesitant to purchase after seeing the reviews on here, but figured if it’s that bad it can go back to Bunnings. Very pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Nice and light compared to my Rover 4stroke mower and much better suited to my current rented home. Easy to get up the steps to my back lawn and cut down the jungle that was there with relatively little effort. Expect it to be even easier next time as it won’t be so long.

So I went back to Bunnings the guy who sold it to me was aware of the problem. It's common, to fix it get an Allen key and loosen the bolts on the sharpening bar. Annoying, he couldn't be up front in the beginning
