Not so bad
Ok coffee, but I find the better coffee beans also cost a bit more...Vittoria has a place but not always in my Breville BES980...Has a sharp finish and is a bit difficult to grind .....not so smooth as Yahava or the more upmarket coffees.

Tastes like an ashtray
Hubby just made me a coffee using our plunger and it's nowhere near as good as other brands. I nearly spat it out. It tastes burnt with a distint ashtray hit. The pack we bought was already ground. Definitely won't buy it again!

Disappointing
I have always used this coffee and it was good value but recently bought it on special at Woolworths or Coles but it really tasted bad. I couldnt get proper taste out of it. Unfortunately, I haven't kept the batch number and it was not dated yet. I use a grinder to grind fresh and a good machine.

Maybe stale when you buy it
Vittoria should be OK but when you buy their beans in a supermarket it is hard to know how stale (or fresh) they are. I bought beans on special a few times and despite having a semi-commercial grinder and a good espresso machine (Rancilio) I cannot get a very good espresso out of them....no crema (the brown foamy stuff on top of the shot) and really disappointing. The fact that there is no crema and the shot runs far too quickly says to me that the beans are stale when you buy them. I know that you can get great crema with other supermarket ...Read more
beans (Grinders for example, much as I hate to recommend a Coca Cola Amatil company...) so it is possible - but maybe supermarkets need to turn the stock over faster. In any case, not good value even on special unless you drink filter coffee or use a stove top percolator like a Bialetti.

Ok if made right
I need 2 shots with this coffee or its just like drinking hot milk. I use an espresso machine and have to time the drip well otherwise it ends up tasting like charcoal so am careful to stop the drip after about 15 seconds. Not bad tasting coffee but certainly not great. ...tastes like Mcdonalds coffee to be honest so if you're a fan of that then you will love this.

Great Coffee
I think how good a cup of coffee is really dependent on the barista making the coffee. However, I've only had consistent cups of coffee with Vittoria coffee. It has a wonderful dark roast but is very smooth. Imagine how happy I was to find Vittoria on supermarket shelves. I usually buy them when they are on special, as long as you don't open the pack, they can store for a while. The moment it is opened, the shelf life is limited.
Even the full-bodied coffees like the expresson here are very smooth.

Good
A good full bodied bean that would have any true Italian reaching for the expresso machine. Served as a short black, latte or 'cafe correcto'is a excellent way to greet a busy day or a long relaxing Sunday morning with the paper. A wonderful aroma that wifts thru the kitchen. An affordable Arabica bean coffee.
Like to grind my own beans.
A slight ammount of oil on the beans helps produce smooth full coffee taste.I feel this is a sign of freshness too as the beans haven't dried. Can be purchased at most supermarkets and if on special two for price of 1.
Nothing really.

doesn't even smell like coffee
I dont know what nasal damage the reviewers have but imagine a coffee that has no aroma in the bag and just barely after a grind. This is a great example of a company continuing to use a brand that was only ever successful in the press and was never that good in the cup.
they claim its full bodied but it could be left to go stale and you wouldn't know any different.

Excellent
A semi-premium ground coffee which offers a good java using pretty much any coffee-making appliance you like to use. Full flavoured but not roasted too dark, it makes a commendably good cappuccino. The full-priced packs at the supermarket can be a little dear in my opinion, but certainly a good pick when it comes up on specials!
A lovely, warm coffee blend that gives a dependably good cup of coffee, whether using an espresso machine or a plunger. We often buy this product, mainly for making cappuccinos at home.
More expensive than other packaged ground coffee, sometimes verging on the cost of select beans available from specialist coffee retailers.

Obviously works for an opposing company. The most ridiculous made given the strength of this coffee's flavour and aroma.
