Washington Ergonomic Chair

I really looked after this chair and no one else sat on it except me but within 6 months the leather was peeling on the arm rests (which I never used). Then the gas lift lever went limp and just stopped working, so I had to sit really low. Then when I was sitting perfectly still one day one of the wheels just fell apart and knocked me off the chair!! All this within 1 year!! It's a total theft charging that much money for it, when it's worth about $20. I bet that's about what they paid for it.

Honestly, my last chair from Officeworks cost $200 and the synthetic leather fell apart after 4 years! I used the $200 credit from that chair (after Officeworks made me search the attic for the receipt which they had trouble reading - as it had FADED badly) to buy one of these. I thought, top-of-the-range so it must be good.. yes? NO! After only 2 years the stitching is coming apart.

Went to SO SO much trouble buying this too! They didn't have it in store (nor any of the stores near me in Melbourne), tried to order it online BUT they didn't accept the OFFICEWORKS credit voucher! Had to get it delivered to the local store and pay for it over-the-counter. NEVER AGAIN!

I had to replace my Computer Chair which I had for three years as it was literally falling to bits.
You can see my review on that one elsewhere, very expensive and very poor quality.

It was with much trepidation that I began to hunt for a new chair, ruling out all the gaming chairs from the start as they all look like they come from the same place and as such would all suffer the same problems as my expensive piece of junk.
I also ruled out paying a high price anything over $300.00 was out of the question and I was certainly not going to pay another $427.00

I also rules out the cheap massage chairs as I knew at the price they would not last.
In the end, I got this one.
It has an 8-year warranty so that was more than good.
