Best BBQ Ever
Everything this BBQ makes is fantastic - from meats to vegetables! It is best the best steak maker available on the market! You just have to keep the lid down! The BBQ is very simple to use, although the accessories can cost quite a bit more (even stupid foil drip pans that are Weber-branded cost heaps). It seems very safe, and very portable, especially when you add the Portable Cart.

It does not grill
This ridiculous outside-oven cost me 450$ from Masters (there's a good reason they're going out of business). It doesn't grill chicken, steak, pork, lamb. Even sausages come away burnt on the outside and cold in the middle. When it does cook all the way through, it stews whatever meat to a disgusting toughness. The reviews that praise this waste of money for its ability to cook pizza, roasts and other meals better prepared in an oven should have served as a warning. Now I have to battle Masters and Weber for a refund. Don't be fooled by the goo...Read more
d reviews, if you want a grill, that cooks steak and chicken breasts and sausages, etc. avoid this mistake at all cost. PS. Weber, don't waste your time with the passive-aggressive comments accusing me of "not knowing how to use your wonderful product". It's a crap excuse for a BBQ. On all heat levels, open or closed, preheated for 20 min or cold start. It's a terrible product that the seller won't even take back. You should be ashamed.

Cooks 75% of our meals - and always well
I've just read all the one star reviews and I don't understand why these people hate Weber Qs so much.
True, if mine caught fire I wouldn't be too happy but mine (thankfully) has never done that.
There was one point raised that I did have to agree with. We have the portable trolley and the side tables are next to useless. I don't feel safe resting anything heavier than a pair of tongs on them. If not for this I would have given the Weber Q five stars.
Apart from that one point I think the Weber Q is great. I have a big six burner (conv...Read more
entional style) BBQ that hasn't been used for over two years (other than Christmas Day when I had to feed the hoards). The Weber Q does it so much more efficiently and with less flare ups (in fact I can't remember it flaring up). We're about to move into a new house with an external gas point so I need to retire my LPG Weber Q. There's a 99% chance I'll replace it with a new Family Q (so the six burner will get even less of a workout).1 comment

Weber Q 200 Cracking Marks
The inside bowl of my Weber Q has cracking marks and Weber is denying these are cracking marks only manufacture marks. They will not replace this defective bbq under warranty. It is not normal to have these cracks inside a bbq. I had previously own a Weber Q and I had went to Masters and looked at the displayed Weber Q bbqs and there is no cracking on any of those bbqs.

racks - they are simply manufacturing marks which are not visible on all units as you saw in store display models. They will also not affect the performance of the unit in any way. I am sorry that you feel disappointed with the response from Weber, and I doubt my comments here will change that - however, I do sincerely hope that you use your Weber Q and that you are enjoying the cooking results you're achieving. Simply the best small Gas BBQ I've owned.
I've been grilling for more than 30 years on all fuel forms.
When it comes to Gas and convenience I love my old Weber Q200. And when I say old, I mean old!
She's 7+years and the only thing I've replaced (other than fat trays) is the grill plate. And the first one lasted 5+ years - living on the beach.
I have cooked on my Q pretty much every day since owning it, and have done everything from snags, steaks, to pizza, roasts, scones and cakes. And everything in between.
My only gripe, and it's a small one, is it can blow out in high winds here on the beach. But I find leaving the hood up for 2-3 minutes to get more air in the mix establishes the fire then lid down to pre-heat everytime.
Durable, easy to clean, and portable!
Giddy Up.

Not Happy
I purchased a natural gas model Q from Masters in May 2013 & had it installed by a licensed gas-fitter. It was disappointing from day one when the electric ignition failed to operate: phone advice (from Masters) was to adjust the sparking device with pliers (which didn't work), so I gave up & since then I have just used matches. Subsequent problems are that it fails to generate enough heat to properly crisp pork cracking or cook steaks very rare, & on occasions will blow out in even just a modest breeze (very annoying as it means you need to co...Read more

o so at [email protected] or call 1300 301 290 - and we will be able to fix your ignition no problems. As for the heat, our NG models do not need to be installed by a licensed gas fitter, and it you had been running a big four burner from the same gas outlet, I can guarantee that there is enough gas flowing through to run the Q. Therefore we need to look at the way it's being used - cooking with the lid down is so important, as is preheating on HIGH with the lid closed for at least ten minutes. If you don't do either of these the Weber Q will not produce the results that they should. I'm confident we can help you out James, please give us the chance by contacting us at Customer Service. We loved our Weber Q so much we bought the Baby Q as well
since our purchase we no longer cook meat inside and have found that by following the instructions on cooking Times we have cooked perfect roasts and Fish and home made Pizza, I failed with my Damper but will use the pizza stone next time. Highly recommend this product. My father in law also purchased on my recommendation

Most useless bbq ever
Going back to my old 4burner bbq, better heat control, easier cleaning, does not flare up, cooks better everything (steak/chicken/seafood/eggs/sausages/etc.). Used Webber several times- flares up each cook up (leaving outside cooked but middle raw), have to keep moving/flipping meat around grill & plate to achieve some cooking, then have tough meat, kebabs have cooked portions & raw portions. Have been bbq'ing for about 40 years & had 2 or 3 wood bbq's first (challenge getting heat right during course of bbq), old 4 burner bbq is easy with mult...Read more

Waste of money.
Takes way to long to cook with lid up or down. Overpriced for what they are said to be. Paid over $250 for this bbq and it is not worth any of that money spent. Repaired old bbq for $150 cooks 10times quicker than the webber and it is 3times the size. Dissapointing for webber.

Cooks amazing food
Unreal! so far I have cooked the best scotch fillets, leg of lamb, pork roasts I have ever had in my life, and blew mates away when I used it to cook mexican lasagne out camping! the bar has been raised! beats a dirty old hotplate! And gas efficiency is top notch, so far I have run it for about 8 hours and still have at least 2/3 of a 9kg gas bottle

Buyer Beware
- 2 reviews
Don't be fooled, this is not a BBQ!
It annoys me that they call this a BBQ. It's an oven....not a BBQ! If you want to enjoy a BBQ, buy yourself a BBQ, not a Weber "Oven". We've only used our Weber Q a dozen times, if that, and it's so disappointing, we've gone back to our old BBQ and we're enjoying good old fashioned BBQ food again. We were fooled by the fancy marketing and hype, but now the Weber sits in the corner of the garage, unlikely never to be used again.

Perfect!
I bought this model about two months ago, after doing online research and talking to several shop assistants. It's been great! It cooks great steaks and chops. The missus has been impressed (she was a skeptic in the beginning). I haven't tried roasting or baking. I also love the video manual and tons of tips online. No regret so far.

Messy
When roasting, the splashes of hot fat accumulate on the hood and then drip out onto the floor. Hood has to be constantly cleaned to overcome this.

s also VERY important that you don't put your meat into any kind of baking dish or roasting pan when you roast in a Weber Q - this is because the fats and excess juices that accumulate in the bottom of the pan can boil up and splash inside the bbq, and yes it creates a shocking mess..... but the reason that we designed it so you don't use a tray is actually more to do with the flavour that is achieved when those fats and juices burn off in the bbq, creating smoke that goes all around your food, giving it wonderful Weber flavour! Check out our roasting on a Weber Q video at www.weberbbq.com.au or call our Customer Service line on 1300 301 290 as we'd be happy to send you a full DVD for free. Great outdoor roasting oven
I've been using my q200 as an outdoor roasting oven, rather than as a bbq, and the results have been wonderful (better than using my indoor kitchen oven, actually). I'm pretty sure it has to do with the shape and design of the q200. The roasts were all tender and *succulent* (roast chicken had a crispy skin too), and the vegetables nicely caramelised. Family and friends who tasted the food all commented on this. Couldn't ask for more.

guys. There are a few things to check: - Is the burner tube completely clean, and clear of any debris? Go along the burner tube with a grill brush, and clean out each hole in the tube with a metal paper clip to ensure nothing is blocking any hole, especially around the ignition box on the left hand side. - Then once the burner tube is clear, and the gas is flowing freely, it comes down to lighting technique. When you light a Weber Q, turn the gas bottle on, then turn your control knob onto the START/HIGH position, and IMMEDIATELY press the ignitor button. You can even press the button, WHILE you are turning the control knob on. It's common for people to delay pressing the ignition button after turning the knob ON, and this can flood the ignition box, so when you press the button it won't light.Thankyou will get hubby to do it tomorrow
Hi i have done these things that you suggested. All clear. Still wont light.
It seems to have.no spark when you try to start it.

Great bbq
I have owned this bbq for 4 years now and its still going strong, the quality is great. I have emailed Weber twice about minor issues and they have got back to me really quickly. I cant say enough about the strength of their customer service. A part broke on my bbq, and they sent me a new part straight away no questions asked and it arrived in a couple of days. I also own a charcoal weber, I keep it out in the elements and it still looks brand new after 6 years. Buy a Weber for the quality and service, highly recommend

Questions & Answers
Lisasked
Can the accessories for the Weber Q2000 also be used with the Weber Q200 ?? For example, the stand/trolley and cover.
1 answer
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi Lis, that depends. There have been updates to all ranges over the years so it's hard to talk generally.
If you give us the product you've got, and the specific accessories you want to use, we can tell you whether they'll work together :)
Purcyasked
Hi, my Q 220 has a serial number of AU0217434. How do I find out the year of manufacture?
3 answers
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi Purcy, an AU code Q was manufactured in 2012. Let us know if you've got any more questions.
Hi thanks for that. I thought that code only related to kettles, though. Or is that just a coincidence?
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi Purcy, we have a few different codes to determine years depending on the barbecue, but in this case, it's the same as a Kettle AU, 2012.

Hi Mark- you should have received a small set of grill clips that will help support the hotplate and grill in your older model Q- if you didn't receive these, send us an email at [email protected] with your address and we'll send you out a set
