Cancelled transaction and account with no reason!
After making a very small transaction, I received an email saying it was cancelled and your account deleted. No explanation was given as the email said for privacy reasons they cannot give their reasons. Now I can see why they have such poor reviews!

Fraudulent, unreliable money transfer company. Avoid at all cost!
Transferred a large amount of money thru Worldremit, it never arrived to the recipient. Worldremit denied ever receiving the money whilst my bank and POLi confirmed money was sent thru to them. Now I have to wait for 8weeks to get an outcome from my bank try to retrieve the money from this fraudulent money transfer company. Putting a complaint with the financial ombudsman. Avoid this company at all cost.

Lack of transparency about review process & timing, terrible customer service
I have used the service to transfer small amounts with no problems in the past. However, given we are buying land o/s had to send an instalment that was larger (under $5k AUD so we are not talking millions!!) The payment was stopped spoke to 2 different customer service people who had no idea or were lying about the review process/timing? Finally got an email asking questions and requesting evidence. I provided a detailed reply (4 page letter) plus 6 docs to verify/support. Rang back and was told it would be released by COB yesterday (UK time)...Read more
still nothing has happened? Every time I call I get a different person who cannot help, I cannot speak to the review team member who sent me the email using her first name. Appalling process management and have spoken to too many customer service that cannot assist!! I want to speak to a person who will help - happy to answer more questions send more evidence. WorldRemit untrustworthy
I signed up for this organization "Worldremit" which went well, then when I transferred funds to Chile for my cousin as he got fired from his employer due the coronavirus outbreak. I received a email saying that my account was disabled so I called them but to no avail they couldn't give me a valid reason why my account was disabled. I said I am prepared to validate my identity but they refused. I am still willing to give them a second chance. My user id is [email protected]

Do not use, better services out there. Cancelled transaction, disabled account on second transaction.
It appears my first transaction went through, but my second transaction was cancelled and was going to take maybe five days to be returned with my account being disabled, with no explanation as to why. I can understand they may be doing it to protect my account, but the way they did it and the response I received made me feel like I was the one getting scammed and did question if my friend's facebook account had been hacked after he communicated through messenger and sent the worldremit link through there.

Cancelled for no reason
Was transferring tuition and they pulled the money from one account but then cancelled the transaction & suspended my account. The money is now unaccessible & I am unable to pay my tuition. They offered no help or explanation as to why my tuition payment was denied. Thanks, heaps for that.

Cancelled transfer for no reason
After the money left my account but didn't arrive the other end. I enquired through their app but no reply. So I called their overseas number and after going through 3 banks of 'press number now', I was on hold for at least 15 minutes. The help line guy then went off for another 5 minutes to find out why the had cancelled the transfer but came back with no answer.. he informed me it would take up to 7 days to get the money refunded. He said they sent an email but it turns out they doubled up on the .net and I never received it. Wish I could rate them lower than 1.

Unprofessional bad service. WR doesn't talk to local partners and has minimum visibility on transaction
I transferred money to Chile on the 3rd of March 2020. Since then I've been getting very confusing emails and text messages assuring me that funds are available on the other end but receiver wasn't able to collect them.
Every time I would call I was told that funds are available but after me insisting to check properly the operator would come back to me saying that local partner needs additional information.

Everyone please be aware. WR gets you on low fees but then you'll get stuck on additional never endless demand to provide additional information that was actually provided. Terrible terrible terrible
Ignored emails for up to three weeks and flat out just didn't respond to other emails. They kept me in 'verifying ID' status for a week (supposed to be 48 hours) for me to find out they were never able to verify me because I was using the wrong country's passport. They didnt tell me that, just kept me in 'verifying id' mode and still took the money from my account. I ended up cancelling the transaction in early January 2020, and am still trying to locate my money. I would rather nail my tongue to a table every morning than deal with this company.

I'll never again use your dodgy service.
I transferred from Australia to America and after 8 business days the transaction hasn't been done. They say it's 1-3 business days, not true. 4 days ago I requested a cancellation and the transaction hasn't been canceled yet. I just hope I'm not scammed. I'll never use your service again and I'll post as many bad reviews as I can.. you don't deserve to be in business. People send money overseas because we have a need and you don't take it seriously

Delays.. Documents supplied still no response.
I initiated a transfer of funds last week. The funds were urgent. I have used WorldRemit before but smaller amounts. I send a slightly bigger amount and the delay and questions kept on coming. I submitted the confidential documents and information requested. There is zero response. The chat experts say I will get a response BUT nothing is happening. I worry that this transfer could just go down the drain. If my funds were to be refunded today they maybe worthless due to the current rate fluctuations! I budgeted on last weeks Au$ to USD rate..!

Transfer made to Uganda. Kerp on saying technical issues from the local agent. Refund took 7 working days leaving my family without the money. Agents on site were not helping

Terrible and worse service for refunds
Initiated a transaction . It was declined. Told my bank didn’t match my account(perplexing!!! My name is same). Spoke to customer service and they have absolutely no idea how to deal with situation. They use scripted message to blame your bank. If you can debit money automatically, why can’t you refund automatically?
Do we have to take your team to the ombudsman or AFCA?
Now waiting for refunds and given scripted messages. Think before you use them. If I can have a negative review, I would have give them.

Don't waste your time!
Rude and arrogant staff.
They really do not want your businesses. I have used multiple other remittance companies and this is the worst by far!!!!!
It took me nearly 1 hour to speak with a supervisor. They keep refusing to put you through. Only persistence gets you there but still, they do not care about the customers... Don't waste your time!
And if you cancel, you can expect a long wait to get your money back...Quick to take your money but slow to return it...
