The battery died just after 12 months

published

A greenish liquid began to ooze out of the battery and then it began to swell so that it didn't fit in the housing any more. My bicycle had a 12 month warranty, which is standard and I contacted customer service at oo.com.au. My claim was instantly dismissed as the warranty had passed by just a couple of days. I'm really disappointed with this bicycle, I think it should last more than a year before it gives up.

The frame itself is very heavy and it's very difficult to cycle without power. The first 11 months I enjoyed using it and if the battery lasted I would have given it four stars.

Great Electric Bike

published

I have owned one of these bikes for just over a year now and I thoroughly enjoy it. I alternate between this bike and a manual pushbike - I use my y-electric for days when I know I'll be carrying a decent load. It hasn't skipped a beat and is surprisingly great value for money.

My only down points would be that it weighs 40kg and can be a bit of an awkward thing to manoeuvre in tight bike cages. And also that it's motor can be quite loud. But I love it! :)

Great Value for your Buck!

published

Purchased this Electric bike on discount for $399.99. Comes in 2 colours white and blue, was amazed how easy it is to ride compared to a normal bike with the least amount of physical effort. Its great fun to ride and you take it anyway with you. Easy to charge up and only had to put together Handle bar frame together as the rest was already preassembled in box.
Its very energy efficient and fun to ride as you can pick up quite a bit of speed and takes the hard work out of riding up hills.
The Handle bar frame I felt was rather small in comparison to other Bikes, and is rather heavy when riding without electric motor.

Your best bet is to checkout Ebay! The other option is to buy a power bank to recharge the lithium battery to its full capacity from when you 1st bought it. Im not sure where you can buy these? You will have to do your homework and google a power bank that recharges lithium batteries. Also the manufacturer no longer makes these batteries anymore.

I am after a user manual for one of these Y Bikes. Can anyone please either create PDF for me or provide dealer information? I can't find a dealer in Australia. Cheers
