Quality performance oriented road tyre
Replaced Prius-spec standard tyres on BRZ for these in the aim of more traction and grip, but not at the expense of playfulness from the car's chassis. Job done. They are a little noisier admittedly, but not irritatingly. That's the only downside 3000 km in.
These tyres have really unlocked the potential in the BRZ/86 chassis that you knew was there but the Prius-spec tyres simply couldn't deliver. However the car is not locked down on rails either, and can still be provoked into over-rotation or gentle oversteer if the conditions allow.

ave Yokohama Advan AD08R and AO50 tyres on another car and I'm a compulsive buyer of them for their transparency, feedback and progressive behaviour at the limit of grip. The Advan Sport V105 also retains these qualities (though not the same thresholds) but with far superior wet weather performance and less noise. They were excellent on circuit, retaining grip and predictably for 20 min sessions (which is impressive) without throwing a wobbly and giving up. It will be interesting to see how much endurance they have, as the other motorsport oriented tyres wear very quickly. Have met expectations. Happy.Purchased in December 2021.

Fantastic grip, front inside walls were dying at 13400kms
New 2017 suby impreza, 9 months old, 13400 kms, front tyres were shot.
Exceptional grip and handling, but they wear quick, needless to say, will pass on Yokohama from here on.
As an aside, this may be an Impreza issue as well, the tyres may need to be bigger, weight etc.

Perfect no noise great handling
Since having my worn out Tyres replaced at only 55,000kms, with these performance Yokohama’s my car has way less road noise and no more squealing tyres when I take off (front wheel drive).
The car handles much better and I feel safer on wet roads.
With the old tyres I had to slow right down as it would aquaplane but these Yokohama tyres just slash through the water like it’s air.

So far - very impressive
Currently get 4th tyre free at Bobjane so about $180 per tyre

- can't comment. Done less than 1000ks so i'll report back in a yearish.
GRIP
- superb. Seeing as I drive a powerful FWD and enjoy a spirited drive from time to time this was very important to me. I've put the tyres through their paces - accelerating hard out of a corner, braking hard mid sharp corner, abruptly tightening the corner - they grip and go, no squeal and the steering and car overall feels very secure. They feel sharp and not soggy. That is both in wet and dr...Read more

Only OK
Purchased a set 245/40/18 June 2014 and have had to replace them after 21,000ks/2 years of city driving (Darwin).
Expected to get a minimum of 30,000ks given I had them rotated every 5,000K's with annual wheel alignment. As far as handling/noise goes didn't notice much difference from the Dunlops that were previously on the vehicle which lasted 40,000ks.
