Losing air & rubber quicker than other brands
Tyres keep losing air over long (Bendigo to Brokenhill) distance this is the second set I've had; changed to Another brand at the same time on the front of Forester and Yokohama rear. Other brand have heaps more tread, less wear on edges this time around! On road only for use so far x 4 trips with rotation.

Wouldn't go back
Had a set of these in 255/70r15 (29.1/10.43r15) and they only lasted 60000 km, had very little grip in the wet or off road. Replaced them around 10000 km ago with 30/9.50r15 bfgoodrich all terrain and will be sticking to them from now on. Yokohama go12 were a unreliable set of tyre and wore out fast in the center l, even though then had a rotation and balance every 10000 km and always ran 34 psi.

Yokohama Geolandar AT/S G012 265/60/R18
These tyres perform way better than my OE Bridgestone Dueller H/T D840. They are more sure footed in the rain on the road and do not slide around through roundabouts. On gravel roads they have good grip and control. I was surprised how good the ride is and the noise - I cannot tell the difference from my old Highway Terrain tyres. I definitely recommend this tyre if you want a quality All Terrain Tyre that will grip the road, stop well and still allow you to go off-road on sand, some mud and snow. Very happy with these tyres. And yes they are made in Japan - so rare to find anything made in Japan these days .

Geolander AT-S
Currently have done around 60,000 km on these and they have been pretty good all round. These were much better than the previous Cooper ATR's i had on the xtrail. Over the last 10,000km they have become a bit noisier and wear has been a bit uneven . Tyre rotation has been mostly been done between 10 - 15 k. Probably will change to a H/T tyre in the future due to less offroad use nowadays.

Disappointing
Bob Janes recommended them. Got 25000k on first set and 28000k on second set on 4runner.
Just to compare with cheap simex get 45000 from these. Same driver and terrain. Use them everywhere 85% road 15% off.

Geolander AT-S
The G012 A/T-S are awesome and anyone who drives on gravel a bit will testify to that. The previous review mentioned the Geolander SUV ... these are not the A/T-S tyres, so I suggest you disregard that opinion for this thread. We paid $279 ea for 3 A/T-S tyres and got the 4th free from Bob Jane Mt Barker - awesome :)

Well we got another 11K out of the tyres, so 46K all up. They went of late however we were very happy with them for 98% of the time until they were gone and proceeded to buy another set. ;)

They keep up with the big boys!
After 50,000km (4 yrs) I am due to change my 2004 Pajero Yoko's (265/70/16) as fairly worn . As part of the Pajero Club I have done some tough 4WDing in the high country and have easily kept up with everyone else running Coopers & BFGs. After having achieved 90,000km on the previous set of BFGs the lifespan was a little disappointing with these but what made up was the low road noise & comfort vs the BFGs. Great traction on both dirt & bitumen & never had a puncture.

AT stands for Awesome Tyres
I've got the ATs on my kitted up Prado 120 TD and have done over 60,000km, they still look good and I could easily get another 40,000km. Great grip in the wet on bitumen and perfect to drive over sand dunes and dirt tracks (using recommended tyre pressures of course). Quiet and tough. I can highly recommend it.

Good
Bought a set for my hilux and got 120000 out of them, the ute is always loaded up with work gear so there was always a bit of weight. I can't really fault them payed $1200 4x 225/70/16.
Good value I thought for the k's.
Only my opinion. Take care

17000 kms only
KIA Sportage diesel got 34000kms on original Hankooks and not all worn but decided to replace all and fullwheel alignment with Geolanders SUV after researching all brands. After 16500kms rears were down to wear bars all running on 70% highway miles 30% suburb tyres were knackered. Alignment rechecked and alignments on two separate Sportages were checked for comparison with support from my Kia dealer in Geraldton. alignment within Kia specs therefore tyres with supposedly orange peel additive for increased mileage is rubbish. ant to know about it and the tyre dealer wished I would disappear, he did reluctantly in the end replace the 2 rears for price of 1. Extremely disappointing a very poor product and let down by yokohama Very poor mileage, wrong compound used for aus roads, yokohama did not want to know1 comment
This is not the AT/S tyre (you mentioned SUV in your review). This is a different compound and pattern, though Yokohama claim higher mileage.

Diesel Forester 2010Adelaide
Take a pounding
I have a set of Yokahama Geolanders AT/s fitted to my 2010 Diesel Forester, have completed several tracks over the last two years including parts of the Sturt Stony Desert, Old Ghan line, Strezlecki, Birdsville and Oodnadatta tracks and Flinders Ranges. Have no hesitation in recommending these tyres. Very impressed.
Hard wearing

Awesome tyre
Have them on a 02 hilux duel cab, mainly road driving however do get in the mud, dirt & gravel occasionally as I work in a market garden area.
I got 100,000km out of them however pushed the last 15k as I didn't rotate them or balance as often as I would have liked but if I did they would still be good.
The tyre guys tell me that they are more a road tyre but they are very good off road as well. The only thing stopping me from slapping a brand new set on is I'm querulous to try another brand, other than that my recommendation is that they are ...Read more

They are not "soft", don't listen to others.
I've had these on my R50 doing state forests, commuting and highway work for 20,000 and they still look like new. I have the 10.5x30x15LT rated. I'd put them up against the more expensive Bridgestone D694's anyway. However, when I say that, it appears the price on this tyre has nearly doubled since I bought mine. and they are well over $300 now?
Cheap ($150), quiet, good traction on the road.
Terrible in mud, but hey, it's not a MT

Travel without Fear
Just completed the Old Gunbarrel Hwy and Eyre Paninsular 9/2012 in a 100 series L/cruiser. Yokahama A/T-S tyres performed beautifily no puncturs, leaks at all with these tyres, with 40psi all round. These tyres perfom well in the wet and have very little road noise in cab. Tyre are well priced for the performance.
Great value, Very litte road noise, performs well in sand & gravel and gives good mileage

used two sets of Yokohamas. Good tyres, but Very expensive and wear out quickly.

Excellent
A very good tyre for my Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. I have travelled 50,000 Kilometres and all tyres are evenly worn and are just at the bar indicating end of useful life for snow, so they shouls last untill at least 60,000 Kilometres which is fiarly good for a heavy vehcle like the Jeep
Qiuet on highway at 110 Km/hour. Handles well on both wet and dry bitumen. Handles well off road and on shallow mud
Do tend to slide around a bit on deeper (more than 50mm) mud, but they are not a mud tyre.

Got an XT or GT Forester ?
I saw this particular tread pattern on a 'standard' non-turbo Forester, and thought they looked the goods. After 25,000 Km on my 2000 GT Forester, with upped Kw's, they are still in excellent condition, after plenty of hard driving on West Australian pea gravel, soft beach sand and various paddock bashing duties around a farm environment, as well as the usual big load long country runs and daily driving duties.
A/T-S's are a very competent beach tyre, way superior to the standard Geolandar H/T as fitted prior. They handle the 16 psi preset o...Read more
n tyre deflators very well, and inspire a lot of confidence when driving a soft roader in challenging conditions. The grip and handling they provide at higher speeds on WA pea gravel is also very reassuring. Especially on the fun tight and twisty sections. They are a perfectly acceptable bitumen tyre as well, with very little road noise compared to some other options. Wet weather braking is outstanding. Carring a large load ( 250kg, and small trailer ) at highway speeds at higher pressure ( 37 psi ) is very comfortable. A/T-S's are a soft tyre ( they need to be to perform the way they do ) and I would suggest that your suspension, and wheel alignment be in good working order, and a good wheel alignment from an experienced source would be a good idea to get the best performance and longest life from this tyre. Wheel rotation should be especially important with this tyre. If you have a early 2000's GT Forester and you actually do take it out and explore the boundaries on unsealed surfaces, this is a brilliant choice of tyre. I'm really happy and impressed with this product. ( 215/60/16 95H ) However, A/T-S's will not improve your spirited bitumen driving performance and handling at all, Understandably........ They really promote the performance of my vehicle as a serious off road tool.......... They are not the cheapest option available...........Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I purchased a new Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk in 2014 which has Yokohama Geolander SUV 245/65R17 107H tyres fitted. I only drive on major made roads and do not drive off road. I have just ticked over 50,000kms and the rear tyres are needing replacing, how many kms should I expect? I previously had an Jeep Overlander and got over 80,000kms on the first set driving under similar conditions as I am currently doing.
1 answer
It seems like you've been speeding around corners too often and no it doesn't seem odd to me - if the tyres need replacing them feel free to have the store replace and balance the tyres ;however, I've found Bridgestone and Goodyear tyres to be superior to the yokahama but, it also depends on the prices of the tyres
Eduasked
What is the tyre pressure for a Geolandar D91 225/60/17 on a Subaru Forester AWD?
1 answer
There should be a tyre pressure placard (label) mounted on your car - mine is mounted on the drivers door frame. This will give you the Subaru recommended pressure. I run my tyres a bit higher - eg. Recommended pressure says 190kPa in my car. I don't know about the D91, but I find with the GO12 tyre 248kPa (36psi) is more appropriate for highway driving. I drop tyre pressure down for different surfaces (gravel, sand, etc). Hope that helps.

Could you please advise as to what tyre pressures I should use on my 2014 Pajero, both for normal use,and towing a caravan?I am running on Geolander Ar G902

G'day....Because I live in the tropics and do a lot of highway Ks, I kept the cold pessure at 36 pound all round (empty) and 38 in the rear when fully laden (750kg). If in doubt speak with a reputable tyre dealer for clarification.
I run 40 lbs on bitumen towing or not. Never had a problem. My tire dealer told me that a set ago.
