Really great family and party sized BBQ
Great BBQ.
I read reviews and I felt most people said that the Webber was slightly better. I really can't say that one is better than the other.
I have a small Webber Q and it does equally as good a job. The Ziegler & Brown cooks really well.
What I do really like with the Z&B is the three gas rings - left, right and centre (rather than the Webbers inner and outer ring), that I can have the left and right burners on and roast in the middle with no direct heat. Or, I can use just one side of the BBQ without the other two burners being lit.
There are three points I will make; they are not in any way criticisms however:

My husband LOVES this
This was a pressie for my husband last October for his birthday. We chose this due to the non rust finish living close to the ocean.
He bbq's EVERYTHING and we just can't fault it. Easy to clean and very easy to use. We did a roast leg of lamb and a roast leg of pork for xmas and they were so succulent.
Highly recommended...

Finally excellent form and function meet in a quality well built competively priced product!
This is not a BBQ you will ever see thrown on the bulk rubbish pick up heap on the roadside and will be (is) difficult to obtain on the second-hand market as it is a more than worthy competitor to similar Weber models.
After owning a Weber Genisis Silver model for approximately 20 years and still being fondly comfortable with its bright blue hood and 3 burner grill I wasn't enthused by my wife's suggestion to visit the local BBQs Galore store to see this Ziegler and Brown (who thinks up these names ? ) portable BBQ. She felt that my relation...Read more

Great BBQ
I have had this BBQ for about 18 months and I have been pretty impressed. It is especially good for roasting meat. Because of it's rounded lid, it does a really good job on legs of lamb which is what I tend to cook. For grilling meat such as steak etc I would prefer it to generate more heat, but it gets the job done.
One thing I have really noticed is the efficient use of gas. A bottle literally lasts for months.
It is very easy to put together. I only had to assemble the trolley. The actual BBQ comes fully assembled and then sits on the tr...Read more

Legs and wheels broken
Had it for over three yrs and used few times every summer. Still haven't finished the first gas bottle.
Wheels were broken and came off the axle after an year. One burner on Right hand side is not functioning.
Otherwise okay. certainly better that K mart ones but not worth the price.

Great BBQ
Bought this BBQ online. Originally balked at the hefty price tag but as we have lots of barbecues especially in summer, it sounded like a good investment. The BBQ is of a high quality and is beautifully made. The food cooks evenly and remains moist and tender. The feature I really love is the hood with a built in temperature gauge so you don't have to second guess if the food is cooked or not. I'm still not completely sure it was worth nearly $1000. If it lasts 10 years then I'll be satisfied.

Best roast pork crackle ever!
The Ziggy bbq has been awesome. Perfectly cooks roasts especially pork crackling and great for Sunday breakfast cooked on the Barbie.
It's easy to use with lots of accessories and easy to clean.
The trolley makes for easy manoeuvring and the gas bottle holder on the trolley keeps everything together and compact.
BBQ retains great heat and heats up quite quickly to start cooking within a few mins.

Ziegler & Brown warranty Scam
I bought a Ziegler & Brown BBQ less than two years ago. The front wheels were broken and I went to Barbecue Galore. Was told the wheels are not covered under the warranty. Even though the BBQ supposedly has a Comprehensive warranty (what ever that means).
I had to pay for the wheels if I wanted to be able to move it again.
I want to know, what does the warranty covers.?
I wouldn't recommend $1000.00 BBQ which doesn't even last two years.
I sent an email to Ziegler & Brown as well as Barbecue Galore and still waiting for answer. ( I wouldn't hold my breath for a reply).

The best decision I've made yet!
Looks fantastic, cooks a range of foods beautifully and is very light on the gas. I like that I can cook with the top down or up, it is very versatile. I can have one, two or three burners going depending on the heat I need or the amount of food I'm cooking. I use my Ziggy 3 to 4 times a week all year round, nightly during summer and in two years have only gone through 2 gas bottles! They are easy to clean, the accessory range is great, all extra $$$ of course but it is quality gear. The only downside I have had is that I had to replace the whe...Read more
els. I was moving my BBQ every time I used it and storing it under cover. My local BBQ's Galore ordered the wheels in for me, I replaced them and have since kept the BBQ stationary. I don't regret this purchase for a second! I love my Ziggy and my friends do too!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worth every cent- brilliant BBQ!
After being a little sceptical that it would be worth the considerable financial outlay, I am sold that it was well worth the money. I have cooked a BBQ for a party and have used it as a smoker twice. I purchased a cast-iron smoke box at the recommendation of the Barbeques Galore staff member and have smoked a chicken (in an upright position) and beef ribs then beef brisket...yummy!! So easy to clean... unusual experience to remove the grill and hotplate from a BBQ to clean them indoors but certainly makes for a safer, more hygienic BBQ. The fl...Read more
ame thrower ignition is awesome... must admit that I turned it off/on again just to ignite it a few times. Bought it with cover and a few other accessories which store neatly under the BBQ. With the sides up and the cover on the foot print of it is very compact and neat. Well designed and tidy piece... highly recommend!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Recommend to all
We went searching for a portable and good quality barbecue for our new home and we couldn't be more happy with our purchase. Cooking time is very fast and it's versatile. The best steak I've ever eaten came off this barbie! It's easy to use and clean and I would recommend to all.

Well worth the outlay!
You get what you pay for and this is by far the best barbecue on the market. The meat retains its juices and the cooking time is much less than with our old barbie. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's so easy to use and clean. It's a beauty!!

Best BBQ I have ever owned.
Apart from the BBQ I also purchased the roasting dish, side solid hotplate, warming rack and full heavy duty cover. What a joy it is to cook on this BBQ, perfect working height, fully adjustable three burners which are a breeze to light, great temperature control, a large lid with thermometer. Every meal comes out perfect, great for doing roasts like chicken or pork, so easy to use and very easy to clean, the little drip pan is excellent. As well as being an excellent BBQ for cooking it also looks great, the red colour lid and black stand contr...Read more
ast beautifully. The two large fixed wheels and the two castor wheels make moving the BBQ so easy, Cooked a No.24 chook on my Ziggy tonight and what a delight it was, I used the roasting dish and after the initial heating up which only took a few minutes I only needed to use one small burner to maintain a temperature of 190º, the chicken turned out brilliant with nice crispy skin. I did some steaks last week and some sausages, they all turned out excellent, I plan on doing another roast pork nex week with vegetables. There is ample room on the three plates for doing all the cooking I need, I cooked all the meat necessary for 7 people at Christmas and still had room to spare. I wouldn't swap my Ziggy for anything.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Loving my Ziggy so far!
Bought my Ziggy in the boxing day sale. I bought as extras the roasting dish, middle solid hotplate and the large pizza stone.
Be prepared if you buy one the two boxes don't fit in the back of a station wagon together, had the wife and kids so couldn't put the back seats down, nonetheless was no issue with BBQ's galore assisting me take it out of the box and kept them there! win one!
Got home, took roughly about an hour to construct the trolley. The trolley isn't the most sturdiest of trolley's if you're going to run a marathon with it, b...Read more
ut will suffice nicely to push the Zig around on the decking at home. Gas bottle sits nicely on the end of the trolley out of the way and the condiment holder on the front of the trolley is a nice addition. The fold in side tables offer enough space to put things whilst cooking and nice and compact for storage. Getting on to the fire up. Did as recommended for the first heat up. Man, when there are no hotplates in this thing it heats up real fast! went from 0 - 300 degrees in about a minute. Once you put the hotplates in it does take a little bit longer but still a very fast pre heat. Normal bbq cooking is a breeze. still do a good preheat to warm up the grills then cook as normal. I find the three burners offer sufficient heat. Being able to control the three burners independently is just like other bbq's. I haven't come across any hot or cold spots on the grill, all seems to cook very evenly across the whole space. My wife was initially against the Zig as she thought the total grill space was too small, fancy that a women wanting something bigger :) still plenty of space to cook on the 3 grill plates!Similar opinion? A joy to use
I have owned and used this excellent barbecue for two years and have been delighted with its operation .
I live very close to the coast and subsequently corrosion has put paid to every barbecue I have owned in the past . Not so with the Ziegler, its stainless steel, ABS plastic and Aluminium alloy construction is resistant to the effects of weather and seems to keep its appearance as well . For the most part it is easy to clean, the smaller sectioned grills fit easily in the dishwasher and the paint finish to the dome wipes easily . There i...Read more

Great Aussie bbq!
After owning a disappointing Weber Q200, then a char broil which was good but burnt out in 12 months, I bought the Zeigler & Brown triple grill. In my opinion, well made with a good design for venting, gas burner position allowing three cooking areas (unlike Weber), and good high heat for grilling and roasting. After two years of cooking with this bbq it is just terrific for a gas bbq. Pizzas through to roasts all come out well with practice of course. Cooked for 11 people first time, used all the grill space. Steaks perfect in 5mins, short cut...Read more
s up to 20mins and roasts about 1.5 hours. Easy to clean, pleasure to use. No issues with any part of this bbq to date. No problems with 9 kg gas bottle, although I feel it is just too big whatever bbq it is used for, the smaller 4.5kg are far easier to manage. Would it recommend this BBQ. Yes I would.1 comment

flexible cake tester skewer, to find a cobweb and a spider had built a home there. Checked again with the Gas on, all good back to normal. I also had a similar problem with the air vent on the Gas line of my Weber Q200. Just something to be aware of as a maintenance procedure. Not knocking Weber as I have two other charcoal Webers which are great, especially the "Smokey Mountain Cooker". Recently bought the "Roasting tray" that fits into the middle section. Better cooking result than sitting the Roast in a "V-rack" on top of the grills with or without pan. Roast pork with great crackling, just follow the instructions. This Ziggi BBQ just gets better and better!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

So Far pretty good
Have only had the triple for a few weeks but so far I am impressed with what I have cooked. . I am waiting for the pizza stone and centre hot plate so I cannot say how they perform . Cooking steaks and chops the triple is slower than my old 4 burner which would burn very quickly . This tends to make the meat better. Using a frypan on the trivet is really good because the temp is very well controlled. will update in a few weeks with more cooking to come.

Have had the triple grill now for about 6 months...Read more

Looks good but doesn't cut the mustard over all
Love the shape and look (style) with the lid down but when it comes to cooking for a large crowd ( advertises for 10-15 people?) I don't think so. The oval shape cuts off areas that a big t-bone would normally fit on a basic beef-eater. It does have cold areas as does most bbq's. Love the bake tray that fits in the middle and have used it for fish, octopus and baked vegies. It was a hit. Will learn to cook on it. Practice makes perfect. Don't like the plastic side trays. They are not big enough and just seem cheap. The Weber offers nothing m...Read more
ore substantial. Over all I feel I don't have the space to cook a typical bogan bbq in one batch. Will keep my old beef-eater on hand. Like it. But after using it even with it's good points (ie: middle baking tray) I would not have purchased. This doesn't mean I would have purchased a Weber instead. It just means I feel it has less cooking space and nothing more to offer than the good old CHEAPER beef-eater.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Do I have a lemon?
Paid over $1000 for this highly advertised Z & B from Barbeques Galore.
Looks good but the cart is flimsy. So badly designed that a standard 9kg bottle will not fit underneath but has to hang at an awkward angle at the end. An an iron bracket screws into the plastic frame of the cart. The plastic cart split. It could not even hold 9 kg! have Had it replaced and then one of the wheels broke. Had it replaced again. The 3 burners heat rapidly but if it is windy & the over large rear vents in the dome face the wind don't expect a decent temperatur...Read more

The centre plate suffers from uneven heating on my Ziggy triple grill, also the flame height hardly varies from lo to high, any ideas or should I junk it and get something else?
1 answer
My triple grill is useless. I wish I would have bought a Weber Family Q. The uneven heating, thermometer fogging, useless roasting dish (stupid piece of engineering) and their (BBQs Galore) poor customer service should be enough for anyone reading this to realise that the Triple Grill from Zeigler and Brown is a waste of money. Buy a Weber.
