Just be normal, I don't want to chat to your alter ego.
My partner and I have been using AMM for awhile and it is quite fun, when you actually meet decent people who chat with their minds and not through their libido. We only chat with verified members and people with face pic. We find that people that hide their face pics are also the most decent and normal.
Abit of fun. I really like their events calendar, I always try to go.
Weird people that speak through their alter egos.

n mind that search for men had it's results capped at 100 pages. There's more than that so the ratio could be as high as 4, but that's speculation. To up the ante, AMM gives you the choice of levels of membership. There's silver, gold and platinum and with respect to search results they are 3rd, 2nd and 1st respectively. Now, this is key. Given the ratio of men to women on the site if you purchase anything other than Platinum your search result position is next to useless. In fact, a quick search reveals that you don't even get to Gold members until page 12. If you know anything about search methodology and psychology you'll know that most people don't bother past page three. Quality: This is totally subjective. I don't know if my standards have gone up, but there appears to be a large stratification between the quality of the people on this site. Women seem to be either really attractive/hot or very unattractive (overweight etc). Superficially, you don't seem to find many "normal" people here looking for fun. Probably the social stigma, really. Guys: If you're willing to pay for Platinum, are good looking (built, muscular) then you might stand a chance. Wow just read all the knockers of this site. If you don't succeed it's not the sites fault. Never have I read any guarantees . an blindly jumping in thinking that you will have your choice of dozens of attractive women willing to meet you for sex the first night you are a member. First things first, as with any dating/sex site there are always going to be a disproportionately large number of male members. This is always going to be the case and any sites that claim otherwise or men who expect an equal distribution are dead set kidding themselves. This isn't a club where the bouncer will attempt to have equalise the numbers, this is a free for all, survival of the fittest if you will. As I speak there are just over 1500 women online and exactly 200 men online and often that ratio will increase to around 10:1 of an evening, presumably when a lot of males are returning home from work. With such a skewed ratio it's inevitable that females are going to attract the bulk of the attention. At the start I was a little frustrated with my "conversion rate" but a female friend of mine logged on to her account and showed me what women have to deal with. Now my friend, while attractive, isn't someone you would describe as a supermodel (by her own admission) and the instant she logged on she was absolutely bombarded with messages and winks. I'm talking 30 or 40 alerts within 10 minutes or so, and that's not including the contacts she received while offline. With so many expressions of interest, there is little incentive for females to initiate any form of contact (although it does happen, albeit rarely) so generally speaking you are going to have to jump in the queue with everyone else and hope that you have that "something" that attracts their attention. Don't take the lack of replies to heart, as I have seen first hand it would be pretty much impossible to respond to everyone unless they spend every waking moment on the site. In response to the suggestions that AMM deliberately plant bait profiles who initiate contact in the hope of persuading you to join up to a paid membership, while obviously I can't categorically state that this doesn't happen, I'm yet to see any evidence of it. This is in contrast to other sites such as RHP (who got a kick in the pants by the ACCC so be assured that they do take such allegations seriously) and another dating site starting with L where every single time I've started a profile I've been contacted by an attractive "female" who soon falls off the face of the earth when it's obvious that you aren't going to break out your credit card and join. I've started numerous new profiles on AMM over the years and I can say that I've never seen so much as a suggestion of impropriety. Best Adult site
I've been a member of AMM for over 6 years. I'm probably a slightly better looking guy than average and in my 50's. In my time with AMM I have met and bedded over 40 women from the site, two of which i've been seeing for over 3 years. Easy site to work around, never been pestered with fake profiles and can honestly recommend it to anyone. Just be honest and upfront with people and for guys, dont expect women to be throwing themselves at you. You have to be patient and put some effort into the process.
Easy to use, they dont try and suck you in with fake profiles like the other adult sites

A million men, and very few women
My title says it all. I am a tall good looking single guy. This site is full of girls who get between 10 and 100 emails a day. Girls, if you want to hand pick from a large group of guys, go for it. Guys, save your money! It really is a site men need to boycott. They charge premium rates for a really average site for blokes. Don't make the same mistake I made men... don't join! You may meet one girl, but don't expect the woman of your dreams, as they are very possibly already replying to 100 other men, so if you want to be one of a 100, go for it guys.
Great site as far as features are concerned. Easy to navigate and no annoying website design features.
Far, far too many men on this site and nowhere near enough women.

This is the fourth adult dating site that I have been a member of, and if you are not a well hung young stud, you have virtually no chance of meeting a woman. All these types of sites are rip offs.
I like nothing about this site.
I joined as a trial member and was exicted by the number of women who, after reading their profiles, would be prepared to meet me as they mentoned no restriction on age or body type. How wrong I was. I upgraded my membership and stated to send them emails that were neither rude or offensive. The majority never read the emails and the one's that do, never bother to reply. What a rip off this site is.

The site boasts one million plus members...This is not true.. the numbers are made up of all profiles ever made on the site and include closed profiles no longer in use... the true amount of active members would be more like about 4000...yep thats 4000. thats all... Log in any night and check the online members link.. just over 3000 is the normal for a busy night.

Contrary to a lot of other reviewers, I did not find many or most of the women’s profiles to be fake. The majority of photos look genuine, many of low quality as though taken with a webcam or phone. Many members who are single mothers, are on the ‘larger side’, also a few sex addict types, some regular sounding ones. ot in common with, you’d be better off looking at a regular dating site such as RSVP. Unfortunately, the membership options give (and charge) too much given the number of eligible matches there will likely be in your area. For example, the cheapest option is silver membership for 1 month, giving you the option of sending 4 messages per day, costing $53.95. I live in a decent sized capital city and I found that after the first week I couldn’t find enough eligible females (aged 18-30 and meeting a few other criteria) to send messages to, and 2 weeks later I am lucky if I can even find 1 a day, its basically dwindled down to none. And remember this is only silver membership. You end up having to pay for options you won’t even need. And yes, I concur that the reply rate is very low. In the past 3 or so weeks I have sent a total of 25 messages, 9 have been read, 3 have taken contact further, 2 I now have as chat buddies – for a fit male in his 20s. Far more men seem to sign up for this sort of thing than women, this is not a fault of Adult Matchmaker, something tells me the reason is tied in more to evolution and biology. Perhaps where the frustration people have lies in the marketing of the site and the expectations it builds up. If you’re male and somehow you think it will serve as a quick fix for a lack of sex, you’ll be in for a rude awakening. With a bit of perseverance, something might happen so it might be worth a try but don’t stake much in it. Greater number of members than smaller adult dating sites, the ability to see everyone who views your profile and your messages or winks (if only a trial member). This is a better deal than RSVP, who charges for the feature to see any further back than the last member to view your profile at any given time, or whether a member has viewed a message you wrote to them. Non members can't view any more than a very small photo on your profile, which is preferable if you want to retain some privacy. When you pay to sign up there's a default setting that automatically charges your credit card and renews your membership (at a discount). You need to go in and turn this feature off (unless you do wish to renew of course), but it really shouldn't be turned on in the first place. It got me the first time, but not after that. Beware: implausible female profiles - probably fake
I can not prove the profiles are fakes, but this is what I see on Adult Match Maker which I do not see on the RSVP site: very attractive women seeking "no strings attached" sex -
1) displaying their nearly naked body parts usually without head shots
2) with personal profiles that describe no personal biographical details nor personal tastes or interests
3) assertions of their immense sexual appetites
4) assertions that they are looking for similar minded men, or men with large sexual appetites, or just fun people.

here is a radically different type of person who signs up to AMM. I do not believe this however is the case. It seems to me that women who are that attractive who are looking for no stings attached sex need only go to any public place such as a nightclub, a bar, a gym or even a cafe to strike up conversation with an attractive man for this purpose. There are no women who advertise in this way for "no strings attached" sex on RSVP: real women are simply more subtle than that. This is why these profiles seem to me to be patently fake. It is clearly in the interests of Adultmatchmaker to have on its website profiles like these as it is likely to entice males to pay to sign up to their service and to attempt to communicate with these very attractive ladies. There is a clear financial incentive for Adultmatchmaker to do so. If AMM were doing this, it would be a serious breach of consumer law (of the Competition and Consumer Act, for example).1 comment

Great for women with self-esteem issues!

well written and flattering to the recipient yet I only received around a 10% reply rate, and none of these turned into meet-ups. From some of these responses, and stated as an update to the occasional profile, I learnt that women get flooded with messages and 'winks' (ie expressions of interest) from men. I'm sure this level of interest being directed at their profiles would make anyone feel treasured, particularly if they're having a bit of a rough trot and in need of quick boost to their self-esteem levels. I have been with AMM for 5 years and have had the best experiences. I am one of those rare women who is only after 'adult fun' and instant gratification. Never had too much of a problem with Adult Match Maker. They provide to users what they advertise: a way to meet other people who are interested in "adult" interests, i.e. sex. The site is not a dating site. The "adult" part should give that away. It is a site for people who want to meet other people with the end result being sex.

The site is very easy to sign up for and use. As a woman there would be no point in paying for membership as most of the members are guys who have paid to get access to the messaging features - and they will contact you almost immediately with or without a photo. I got heaps of responses in Sydney and managed to exchange emails and chat with a few guys but the problem is that most of them seem to be content to get to that stage and do not actually want to meet. As a girl there doesn't seem to be any reason to pay for membership since most of the guys (and the majority of members seem to be guys) have paid so that they can make replies. Some guys complain about that and seem to get a bit desperate the longer they have been members.
A bit of fun.
