I bought this and the one for large dogs. Neither worked!
$180 for nothing. Extremely disappointed as it offered no relief to my pets. Do not recommend at all! Waste of money.

Packets were empty when opened

If $$$$ packet only 2 were full others were empty. I returned it to the vet. They said it’s such a small dosage you probably see it when administered - but I know they were empty.

Purchased in January 2021 for A$72.00.

Use with Caution

published

I purchased the Advantage II for my two indoor cats after using Frontline for many years because I thought it might be a better choice. A day after applying it on both my cats my female vomited a few times during the night and by the next day her eyes were swollen and red and her ears were bright crimson red. I immediately took her to the vet. He gave her a cortisone shot and cortisone medication to take for a week. He felt she might have ingested it somehow. The next morning she was notably better. I can not recommend this product after this experience nor will I be purchasing it again.

Big cost and not entirely effective

Tried this product to rid us of flea infestation to no avail. Still found large adult fleas after 2-3 days of using drops. These fless showed no signs of slowing or dying and it was only 2-3 days after applying. Obviously doesn't stop reinfestation from pet's environment (and yes we threw out everything before application). Flea collar by seresto was only product to work.

After a week of the flea treatment, my cat started scratching again. As I'm on a pension, I won't b

Advantage for Cats Orange (Small Cats)

I accidently bought the Advantage for under 4kg cats when my cat is over 4kg. Can I still use this or would it be harmful to her? She's an old cat.

Advantage for Cats Orange (Small Cats)

I used Advantage on my 22 year old cat. I saw 1 flea on my dog so the vet office said I should treat all animals. 2 days later my cat died. Could this be due to the flea medication?

Hi lits,
I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. You should ask your vet if they've heard of similar cases. I have heard of seizures and other bad reactions to some cheaper flea medications but not death as a result.
Best of luck

I put advantage 2 on my cat, the next day I took her to vet with eye problem. Vet put advantage multi on her. One day apart. Will this hurt her?

Hi, best to check in with your vet if you have concerns but if the eye problem existed BEFORE the flea treatment then it is unlikely to impact. Just observe your cat for any adverse symptoms of the Advantage - the multi kills worms as well but honestly how many times is worming needed? Especially those of us who have indoor cats - where are the worms supposed to be coming from?? If you give your pet human grade meat you should be able to avoid parasites from food! and tin food has been heat treated so presumably no worms there either...it could all be a marketing gimmick to scare us into thinking our poor little fluffies are riddled with parasites! Of course if your fluffy goes outside it might be another story - best do your own research and consult another vet for a second opinion if you are not happy with any answers.
