Hi
Just wondering if we can still purchase the head loops for the single swag that has head loops middle loops and feet loops
This swag is just over 12 mths old and when purchased the head loops were broken. We then sent back to you guys and after about three months and a lot of emails we finally recieved the loops and when unpacking they were the loops for the feet. When I say loops I mean the loops that go over the feet the head and the middle of the swag
I was wondering if you guys still have spare parts for these swags and if so can I purchase these online
Cheers brad

G’day Brad, this has come to me (Shane) one of the reviewers- not 4wd super centre. Give them a ring tomorrow, I’m sure they would have parts. If not I’ve seen universal poles ( loops) at BCF that you can trim / adjust to fit. Happy touring. Cheers Shane

Hi I received one of your big daddy swags for Christmas, seasoned it well and have just come away camping and had a night of rain. Along the sides along the bottom zip the mattress is damp and the corners seem to be letting in water and the underside corners of the mattress is wet? Is my product faulty or not seasoned properly?

Hi Abbey, hard to say - could be either. But, I've had a couple of the Kings swags & for the $$ sometimes are not 100% perfect. 2 things - in the corners of the swags if you can see pin point ( stitch ) holes what I do it run a smooth slice of silicon on the in/ out side. I've had one that did & one that didn't - that fixes any issues. If you have a hole where you could say put a match through it - its faulty.
Pre-shrinking your canvas - drench it !, take out the mattress and soak it ( inside & out ) I do mine 3 or 4 times. that also works really well. I work on the theory for a $160 swag vs a $ 600 swag for a little bit of touch ups - I can work with that.
So - ( if you want) touch up the corners with a touch of silicone ( in & out) - if very small pin holes. Soak it - in and out a few times, I mean really get the water in it - it'll preshrink. I think you'll find she'll be right. Another tip, I put mine ( what ever brand I'm using ) on a stretcher, keeps it off the ground.
Happy touring & camping .
Cheers
Shane.

I recently returned from a three week trip, the final week was non stop rain, so did not use that week, or unpack the swag until home. Even though swag itself was well-seasoned before embarking, upon arriving home, swag canvas at foot and internally mattress and blankets were very damp. How would you recommend to waterproof the swag bag that came with the Escape Swag to eliminate this issue?

Hi, yep after a week in the rain ( on your roof rack ?) I can probably see that happening. The bag material would be waterproof, but you've had slight seepage through the zip. I always try to keep my swag / pillows / sleeping bag etc in the back of my dual cab to prevent mainly dust getting into them but also water. When I'm with a mate who hasn't got a dual cab or space inside that means roof rack. I use a wheelie bin liner to put the bag in when in really dusty long haul runs. This would also prevent water seepage through the zips. I hope this helps - Cheers Shane.

Thank you Shane. I'll try that.

you can use wax from any good camping store to waterproof the bag seams and vasoline on the zip (not too much or it will attract dust)
