Couldn't believe it..PERFECT coffee time after time
I saw the machine at Aldi's and thought...!!! $79.00 right, as if. I then visited a friend and was offered a coffee, MMMM I said, what coffee that - then she showed me the machine 'IT'S THE ALDI' $79 machine. WOW. So I rushed out and they were out of stock but soon more to come. As soon as they came to the stores, I GOT ONE. YESSSSS.. DEFINITELY A GREAT MACHINE, I recommend to other people and they are a bit on the "$79 machine couldn't make a good espresso"...they should try it and then say WOW......incredible!!!!
no Pros...Cons..adjustable to how much coffee. Easy to use and just GREAT. Two year warranty. and Made in Switzerland.

Aldi have done it again!
I had debated shelling out the 400 or so dollars for the Nespresso DeLonghi coffee pod machine after having enjoyed many a delightful cup at the in-laws place. But just as i was about to perish the thought due to the sheer expense of it (initial outlay and 80 cents per pod that you can only buy online in bulk!) Aldi have come through with the goods with a very reasonably priced machine that does the same thing, with coffee that is equally as good. (I know my coffee and this ain't no instant or peculator rubbish) $79 outlay for the machine, $20 ...Read more
for the milk frother (which does a brilliant job in no time) and the pods are $5.99 per 16pk. 9 different flavours which are well blended and balanced with a surprisingly good crema. The Machine is very well made, quiet, easy to clean and use, compact, stylish and it makes great coffee. What more could you want! Oh i know, a 2 year warranty and a 60 day return policy. Unbeatable. Price to good to be true. Really great coffee made easy.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Expressi coffee machine (ALDI)
Absolute little beauty. makes brilliant coffee, easy to use and easy clean.
Compared to the other machines on the market this one is a GEM, low noise and big water reservoir. Easy capsule feed and used capsule disposal. For the price that beats any other on the market, two year no nonsense Aldi warranty and above all a coffee capsule selection that is magnificent varried and at half the price of MAP or Nespresso.
The Aldi Expressi proved to be a marvelous machine with a great selection of capsules. have used it now for 4 months and love the machine and the great coffe it makes at the best price ever.
Best features are great coffee capsule collection, easu to use, easy to clean and at the best price ever!!

Awesome
Bought this unit and I have to say I am very impressed. Easy to use and clean. Takes some trial and error to get the perfect cup but once you get it you'll love it. For me it is a manual extraction of only 30ml (about 6 secs of holding the small cup button). Highly recommend but please clean it thoroughly before first and if you are not completely satisfied with the taste first up keep trying. It will be worth it.
Great price, looks, easy to use and clean

excellent for price
We are happy with our coffee Machine. our daughter who owns a cafe said you would have to pay closer to a thousand dollars to get a quality coffee machine. She is impressed with ours and is blown away by what the aldi machine produces. She loves our coffee. The same machine we saw in the UK (not in an aldi outlet) sold for 75 pounds. ($150 approx) well done Aldi.
cost of machine and pods, a reasonable priced coffee

Couldn't live without
Thought about buying for a long time before I did and I knew no-one with one. After buying coffee 2-3 times per week from Maccas, I really thought I wouldn't find this coffee anywhere near as good. Had tried a grossly expensive DeLonghi machine and coffee was terrible.
This makes getting up worthwhile. It's important to read the instructions to prevent any issues and after about 2 weeks - ours was leaking and it kept missing the pods. Now I believe it needed de-scaling as our water is quite hard.
Returned to Aldi and bought a replacement -...Read more

ALDI EXPRESSI
Bought an Expressi at last the other day with no: 9 and 10 coffee pods. I'm not a big coffee drinker and I have never liked instant. I drink coffee for the love of the taste not for the caffeine hit. It's ok coffee but neither the coffee nor the milk frother are as hot as my local cafe. The pods fall through about every third time unpierced and yes it does drip a little. I would persevere if the coffee was better. What no one has mentioned is that there is a slight after taste that is odd to me and it doesn't taste natural. Maybe I can taste it...Read more
because I don't smoke and have a very healthy diet. A light globe lit up and I thought, I wonder if there is BPA in the plastic. BPA should not be heated or left out in the sun. I have looked and looked at info for both ALDI and Map coffee pods and can't find anything. Anyone know? I'm undecided but leaning towards taking it back. Also can one buy a reusable eco filter for either Map or Expressi? fast, easy, quiet, compact, inexpensive, attractive and ok taste. I would only recommend this machine to friends who drink excessive coffee not to my Italian family odd slight after taste, slight drip, not quite hot enough for my liking.4 comments

erced. I warn all of you to hold onto your receipts as my friend had similar problems with hers. My very first cup was good too but the quality and performance of this machine deteriorates very quickly from the moment you bring it home. Coffee and Pod Addict
I am a coffee addict so I decided to purchase one last year. I can drink up to 8 cups a day, not to mention my wife, who is a pod lover and drinks 5 cups also! The main control panel helps you to customize the settings of this Expressi coffeemaker with ease. This is our hang out and our companion in the kitchen.

Really really good.
These machines are fantastic. I bought one and thought that, for the price, I might get an average sort coffee machine. I was wrong, they work so well and the coffee is wonderful. Very good purchase. Well done Aldi and I will be buying the pods for a long time.
Nice coffee.

Best brew
This coffee machine is so simple to use and produces an awesome cup of coffee. We had the previous Aldi coffee machine and every time it needed descaling we had to return it for service. No worries with this one. Love it. The simplicity of this has had us buy for friends as a gift.
Inexpensive, reliable, easy to use.

Great little machine, Great Coffee, Real Price
Love my Expressi, I don't know how I lived prior to it.
There are a few small problems with these machines. Pods do fall through from time to time (easily retrievable) and as many have found out, if they don't sit right and you try and force the lever down, you'll snap the lever. Thankfully I worked out something was wrong before forcing the lever down. So version 2 of these with those 2 minor problems solved will have a killer of a machine.
Pods taste great. We have a $X,XXX.xx worth machine at work and it doesn't compare no matter what ...Read more
beans we buy. Despite 4 buttons (including the power) it does require playing around with, thanks to a quick reference styled manual that fails to get it across too well, to get your perfect cup. Mostly that's just adjusting the volume of water. I've looked at Nespresso, however I could never justify the price for an item that runs hot water through a pod, so really for the price of the Aldi Expressi - just get 1, even if you don't drink coffee, your vistors will love you.Similar opinion? I am not a big coffee drinker, but my husband is and he and I both love this machine. Nice range of products to go with machine and easy to use!! I also got the Milk Frother to accompany it, and absolutely love it too. Its great for visitors as you can have fancy coffee as opposed to plain instant!!
Inexpensive and easy of use

Finally got my expressi!
Finally got my expressi! Love it! Finally good coffee at 6am without having to buy it! What a bargin also got over 30 coffee pods the machine and frother for under $120
30 coffees at a cafe costs more than that so its already paid it self off.
I find the frother slightly burns the milk on the base.
Great coffee, cheap
Frother only makes one glass of milk for latte, slightly burns milk onto base but easily cleans.

If you are looking for a great milk frother to go with your Expressi look no further than Target. They have one for a measly $17.00 and it froths up the milk perfectly every time.We are very happy with the Expressi machine and our great frother.

Glitch
After my glowing review and recommendation of the Expressi machine in earlier in Feb this year, I have to report that I am on my second machine, just 2 months later. The problem was that the returned machine, would not operate unless the lever was pressed downwards by some considerable force, or else it would flip upwards and the whole exercise was rendered void. Eventually, it was near impossible to just keep the lever in the closed position even before pressing the button! Aldi agreed to replace immediate and the second machine is now wor...Read more
king without any problems. The persona at Aldi admitted as much that some machine are experiencing the same faults. Other than this lack of quality control with the machine hardware, the coffee is actually very good indeed. If this machine fails again, I shall definitely go and get my money back. When it works, it's terrific The lever failed to stay in position and flipped up under pressure quite forcefully.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Easy to make a store bought coffee
The machine is fantastic and easy to use. So is the Milk heater.
I also bought the tin with two of each blend to try as I didn't know which blend I would prefer. Also I didn't know that one pod was for one cup. But otherwise found its easy to use.
Too bad all the blends taste [censored word removed]!! Maybe if they bought out a Maccas blend or Gloria jeans it would be much better. Why complicate things with different blends. Have a basic cap, late or espresso or even a hot chocolate for the kids for the everyday user. And the people who have a superior taste pallet can have the other garbage
Inexpensive, easy to use, reliable and easy to clean.
[censored word removed] blends of coffee!!

Clean, efficient and reliable and great tasting
The Aldi Expressi machine is compact, quick and reliable - we bought it as a back up at work as the $1800 model carked it!! So it is still being used and the repaired expensive one is in the cupboard. We have two ranges of pods, a 4 for medium strength and an 8 has a little more depth.
inexpensive, neat and attractive

Loved it untill
Bought the coffee machine, loved it until one day it just stopped working, I didn't keep the docket and I have 4 tubs of the coffee pods but no working machine .
The coffee was of great quality and tasted great. I also bought the milk frother which still works and which I am very happy with .
Easy to use, coffee was great.
Stopped working.

My milk frother stopped working. I didn't have the receipt but took it back to Aldi and told them. Because they were only released late last year they knew it was not over 2 years old so they replaced it for me. Good Luck!
It's not a milk frother. It's a foamer and totally inadequate for the purpose of making silky, creamy frothy milk for a cappuccino. I threw mine out.
I loved the milk frother - but first one broke down after 2 weeks (wouldn't heat the milk), got a refund, waited for them to come back in stock, bought a second & it lasted same time, milk would leak ... Read more
out, even though I was careful not to put over maximum, & then wouldn't turn on at all - got a second refund & now I have a 'lattemento' bought from Myers - works well (touch wood) but cost more than the Aldi Espressi machine at $129.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Believe it or not since I wrote the reveiw the same has happened to me. I also get a bit of pressure built up which was a bit scary. I've since gone and purchased a new one. If the new one works for a year or two with out a hitch, I'm still ahead.
I rang the 1800 number and spoke with Kfee who make the Aldi Expressi Machine. The pods are new but look the same. According to Kfee, the coffee will be superior. However the new pods are much harder to penetrate and the old machine no longer functions as it did previously, the pressure keeps building and sometimes it just doesn't work. I have stopped using my old machine as the pressure felt as though it was about to explode. Basically you need a new machine and with the Aldi (Kfee) pods being cheaper than (all?) the others, it's still value providing the new machine is not made obsolescent as these old ones have been. Aldi could have told us this, but I have not seen any evidence that they have.
Thank you Ahmetmaz And Basilian for your answers.
I had a feeling that I would need a new machine. I had noticed that the pods had changed.

I have the machine which is smooth down the sides (the older machine), I've descaled and also done the other one they suggest, but the amount of water which pushes through the coffee button (both small and big) is less than 30ml. Sometimes the machine online spits out 5ml, how can I fix this? For me to make a coffee, I have to press the coffee button about 5 times.
2 answers
Hi, yeah thats normal, to make a full coffee you will need to press the button about 5 times to fill the cup, the idea behind this is that to make a proper cappuccino you would normally just press the button once or twice then full the rest of the cup with frothed milk. As i don't make it that way i just need to keep pressing the button until the cups full.
No, I mean I just to press it 4 or 5 times to get a decent amount of coffee. The booklet says you can should get 40ml from one push... not mine!
