good coffees everyday!
makes a decent cup of coffee for me everytime, reasonably quick, the capsules are not too expensive and you have lots of variety, i would say about the value, if you have lots of guests or big family it can get expensive, maybe just for one or 2 people, easy to use, cleaning is straightforward just make sure the loading hopper is clean and dry when finished

Reliable and reasonably priced coffee machine
Suitable for Aldi brand coffee capsules - makes great tasting coffees for a decent price (less than 80c each if you buy in bulk). And is very reliable (can make multiple coffees in a row with no issues). The unit itself looks a bit plain for the kitchen (like a computer box!) - the older model had a more retro look which was nicer.

Sufficient for the price
You get what you pay for and the Aldi Expressi machine has a friendly price less than half of the cost of a brand name machine.
The machine is still going strong but I find it a hassle to clean. There is a huge variety of flavours and strengths but none come close to a barista made coffee.

Great entry level machine
If you fancy a Nespresso-style unit but don’t care for the $200-300 price, Aldi’s Expressi capsule coffee machine is worth a look, especially if you’re already a frequent Aldi customer, since you won’t have to go out of your way to find coffee varieties. Easy to use, sleek design, entry-level price point.

Good unit
Ok coffee machine. Easy to use, and quite quick to make the coffee. Find if I want to have it black I need to top up from kettle as water not super hot, but that is to be expected. Crema has been excellent. Some leaking issues but nothing that bothers me enough to return the unit. Capsules apparently recyclable but you have to post to a warehouse and they went mouldy before I managed this. Probably not ideal for the environment.

Excellent Product at a great price
Purchased this from Aldi, and I must say that it is far superior to the Nespresso Dolce Gusto, which would be its closest competitor in this price range.
The pods produced by Expressi are also fantastic and all of them taste great, especially the Abruzzi flavour (strength 12). The Expressi is also easily cleanable, as all it takes is running a cleaning pod through the machine, also available from Aldi.

Affordable. Reliable
Runs well and heats up quickly. Reliable and makes a decent cup of coffee everytime. The pods are affordable and the other accessories are cheap. Feels very well built and easily competes with more expensive brands such as nespresso. Aldi's return policy gives me confidence to make purchases from them.

Consistent coffee
Surprisingly good. The best thing I can say is that you get consistently good coffee. This isn't going to be as good as you get from a tattooed hipster barista, but it will always be up to a good standard. On the plus side, you won't get the attitude. I've had friends comment about how nice the coffee is. There's no real clean up to speak of, other than emptying the empty capsules every so often.
I prefer the longer shot button and then fill it with heated milk from the milk frother. For a home coffee, it is good, without all the faff of gr...Read more
inding your own beans. Let's face it, there will always be snobs who will tell you how much they love adjusting the grind according to the atmospheric conditions and only use single origin beans from a fair trade source, that have been roasted no more than three days ago. But really, do you have the time and energy to be that righteous? And yes, you will have some do-gooder telling you that you are killing the planet from using pods. But shine a light on them and you will often find that these same people will have three takeaway coffees a day in non-recyclable cups. I'm not saying that two wrongs make a right, but what I am saying is that this doesn't make you the worst person ever. Plant a few trees, recycle and ride your bike and make peace with the world that way.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Easy to use, does the job perfectly
Very simple to operate. Setup took barely 5 minutes. Very easy to clean as you simply press the 'water' button once or twice after making an espresso to clean out any excess coffee still in the machine. There is a good range of coffee flavours as well as chai latte and hot chocolate.

great VALUE for money
This is the second one i have owned and it is definitively an improvement.
its a great coffe maker, although it is still not up to par with a perfectly barista made coffee, for the value you get out of it, you can't really complain as it is sometimes actually better then some coffees that you pay $4 or more for.
It is also quite fast and no fuss when it comes to preparation. simply use the appropiate pod. cleaning and maintance occasionally to keep it at good operation.
Good buy as always!

Absolutely fantastic machine that is simple to use.
It is easy to use - the coffee pod is simply dropped into the area, lower the handle then press the button for either a short or long coffee.
The water container at the rear of the unit does 2 large cups and one smaller cup - easy to remove, refill and replace without spilling water everywhere.
Once the coffee process is complete there is minimal mess, if none at all e.g. no water everywhere in the pod receptacle, that again is easy to remove to discard the used capsules.
The coffee pods are many and varied making a great cup of coffee. The flavours are nice and yet to come across one that we do not like.
The machine is easy to clean.

Good, large milk frother and easy to use
I was skeptical at first but decided to give it a go. Capsules are always available and so many different ones to chose from. The milk frother is amazingly large and cannot compare with Nespresso where I need to run it twice for one cup of coffee. So far I am happy with the product and did not have any issues. The coffee quality is better than many cafes around.

Easy to use and variety of capsules
I love using this machine. The milk frother is very big and I can make 3-4 cups of frothed milk so making coffee for friends or a family is not an issue. The variety of capsules available makes lots of different tastes of coffee and easy to buy them at a local Aldi Store.

4th time unlucky
We are now on our 4th replacement machine. Getting them refunded / replaced by our local Chirnside Park store is a nightmare. Managers are not helpful. Hint - Bring a copy of the ACCC rules with you.
Our original machine we got when Aldi first released the Expressi range was good. These new unit are terrible. The build quality is very poor. The pods always get stuck so you have to push your fingers inside he machine to get them loose.
The biggest problem I suspect is the new "now even more intense" pods. They have placed a plastic restric...Read more
tor inside each pod to slow down the flow rate of the coffee coming out. This puts more load on the machine as he pump tries to push water thru the machine. We have many pods not 'work' as the pump does not have enough power to push thru the restrictor. I am currently drinking a cup that took 3 pods to work. This extra pressure has caused two of the recent returns to leak internally. If aldi would release a better quality machine, I would buy it. I can not recommend this current model to anyone.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I love it
Mine could be 2017 gen as I only got it for Xmas 2017 but either way.
Previously had a Nespresso and I much prefer this one. Accessibility is great - I can get pods when I pick up milk and bread. No Nespresso near me meant online ordering and they’re so bloody expensive too. The machine is sleek and has a great design and makes really great coffee. I’m really happy and wouldn’t go back.

Affordable machine that does the job but nothing amazing
As far the machine goes, it works fine and the coffee is drinkable. Don't expect a barista quality coffee as you're restricted to the coffee from the pods which is always a downside for me in buying these machines. But I can't afford a proper machine so this does the trick!

It's decent
Despite its ease of use and convenience, I always found that coffee I make without the machine tastes better. This could be a result of the machine producing a somewhat watery mix rather than a potent coffee I prefer, otherwise other cons are paying a lot of money for high quality pods to use.
