Quality approaching zero

published

I've been eating shapes for longer than I can remember. Perhaps longer than 40 years. I'm very disappointed with how the quality has degraded over time. You can do better.

Salt Shapes (formerly known as Barbeque Shapes)

published

Disgusting nothing like the original, now they are just pieces of inedible wheat things with red and green coloured salt. Even the salt tastes terrible. Every now and then you get a box like the original, the hit rate is about 1 in10, which doesn't cut it anymore. So after decades of happy marriage I hereby declare my permanent divorce with shapes, adios.

Purchased in December 2021 for $3.

Absolutely flavorless get plain crackers instead.

published

The light flavouring that can only be described as powder is messier that the historical flavour rich were sprinkles.

These taste like sayos if you stuck with these,
buy a bowl of hummus or tsatsiki to use them

Then don't bother with them ever ever again.

Purchased in November 2021 for $1.60.

No flavour, the biscuit texture is different too and the topping is hardly there!

Tasteless

published

Shapes claim to be original recipe but this is clearly not the case as I'm sure other people remember eating the left over flavour crumbs from the bottom of the box...and now the shapes have so little flavour that they kinda taste like the box...

New: fried chicken smells like cat pee

published

The new 'Fried Chicken'/KFC ones smell like cat pee. It is very off putting. They tasted ok (I was brave), but smell so bad!

Even my cat was confused by the smell emanating (though he also wanted to eat them).

I find the flavour has changed due to the company cutting corners...they don't have that wonderful hit to them anymore. What a shame...they were enjoyable until they went downhill hmm...

Very disappointed

published

They are now so disappointing, they have changed the flavour and they are no longer as good as they used to be. They lack the flavour hit you used to get and they are overpowered by the biscuit. Won't be buying them again

They were great until they changed the recipe and cooking process

published

Shapes used to have great flavour and texture until they changed their complete biscuits in every way, now they are terrible and are banned in this household. my wife has bought them on the odd occasion when they were on special, however they get thrown out now.
Before they changed we would buy at least 8 boxes per week minimum for the family.

Purchased in September 2021 at Woolworths.

I can't remember what this flavour was called, but it was a little round biscuit that was a bit puffed, and I think the flavour was chicken related. This was back in about 2008

Hi Ricardo, I think only Arnotts could tell you how much they cost to make, but they charge between $2 and $3 at Woolworths, when you can get them. Good luck with your assignment
