Had better !
Was looking to change our old bosch dishwasher as it was getting on in age, and started to look dated.
I was told Asko was the best on the market when i went in to by a new bosch and that they are very quite and cleaned magnificently. I actually had the complete opposite experience. I found the Asko to be much louder and didnt clean as well as my old bosch.
I feel like Asko is overrated and over priced. needless to say i exchange the Asko for a new Bosch.

great clean, sleek design
Worth the little extra money. It cleans very well, it is easy to use and very big inside with a very logical design. The ONLY 3 small faults-its a little noisy and I find it cleans much better with a liquid detergent which is more expensive than the powder. A minor issue is I find if you lean on it (even slightly), the dishwasher starts itself

All that you want
Purchased this on a factory special and had Mr Dishwasher from Payneham Road, St Peter's, Adelaide install it. All was done on schedule.
The Asko is very quiet and washed our stuff really well on the normal wash. Our last Asko was still washing perfectly after 19 years so I hope this one will be too!

Happy with my purchase
The dishwasher is not loud but not silent. Does a good wash. Cycles are long though. I like the pressure pads for the controls. Id buy Asko again. I like the cutlery basket and how it can be moved. Im not so happy with the dish racks. I find them awkward (could just be my crockery).Overall, very happy with purchase.

great machine
although this was the entry level machine it did a splendid job
it was a lot quieter than our previous hoover and cleans the plates and bowls extremely well the style is great with no buttons for any one to tamper with (kids) and fitted our kitchen with a style that suites our needs

Quiet and effective.
I am pleased with this dishwasher. I bought the store demo at a discount. It runs very quietly. The wash options are sufficient. It cleans very well, I'm quite picky about that. My only gripe is I wash a lot of plastic items and they don't dry well, I know some dishwashers have a vent/door option at the end of a wash cycle. I have to manually open the door and let the dishes sit for a bit. It's a minor issue only since I knew it wasn't available and bought it anyway.
Also, it looks great!

You still have to rinse dishes !
Although the salesman insisted the upmarket ASKO ( price at high end) had superior functions, including you did not have to prewash dishes as the filter could handle it (time save- yes worth the extra price, I thought!), BUT I have been disappointed to learn this is not so.
Obviously plates were well scrapped when we put them in, but the dishwater soon stopped washing properly, and
we have had to have a service person come twice to fix it in the 6 months we have had it. It was supposedly all our fault, as we were not rinsing the dishes befo...Read more

Should have bought years ago.
I had a dishwashers years ago but gave to Salvation Army! it didn't wash properly and bu the time everything had been dried by hand it was simpler to do the whole thing the old fashioned way. This one is brilliant. Very quiet and does a very efficient job, both washing and drying. Put it on in the evening and all done quietly and well.

So much better than my old Bosch!
Waited a long time to replace my old dishwasher that never really washed properly. I decided to buy the Asko as I'd had an Asko washing machine for 14 years that I was really happy with. This dishwasher cleans my dishes, and they are DRY when the cycle is finished. I am happy with how quiet it is, it's not silent, but definitely not noisy either. I love that the drawers are extra deep and fit lots of dishes in it.

/dries exceptionally well. It has a large capacity and as it does not have a cutlery tray, larger plates/platters/pots fit easily. I chose this machine to replace another well-known European brand which I found useless. I decided on an Asko dishwasher based on my experience with their washing machine which had lasted many years without skipping a beat. I would definitely recommend this dishwasher.Similar opinion? Faulty timer
Washes dishes well although would turn itself on at random times. Had the service man out many times. Made us buy a special plug even though we have a safety switch. Tried to blame the solar instillation. In the end replaced the electronic component which I would have done step 1. Company needs to check the timer component before sending machines to be sold.

Worst dishwasher ive owned
Its quiet which is good. To do a good clean and dry have to put on extra drying time and extra rinse time. Washing on pots whith this takes over 3 hours. Bottom racks for platess etc dont stay in place and im constantly having to pull the rack out and fix it up. Purchased 21/7/2015 now F 11 blockage error code. Have spent 4 hours today unblocking it. Sucking out the dirty water is horrible task. No blockages but still error code. Warranty coming out tuesday.

Love it!
This is my second ASKO dishwasher, having left the old one behind when I moved. My new house came with a Stirling D/W (for which I wrote a scathing review), which I had to replace ASAP- utter garbage.
This model is a step up from my previous unit as it has the automatic rinse aid dispenser and drying fan. The other feature, which I am yet to be convinced about, is a drawer under the top rack. I haven't yet used it as I can only imagine it blocking the water jets to the items above...?
This unit has thus far proven to be every bit as good as t...Read more

Doesn't clean
We need advice on Asko D5436WH. Had it since March and it hasnt cleaned properly once. The top rack seems to come out dirtier than the bottom. No matter what setting we use or what duration there are dishes that still do not get cleaned.
We use Finish products, and whether we rinse or not rinse beforehand under the tap, it makes little difference.
It just doesnt clean well; in fact it seems to spread rubbish everywhere instead of it all being rinsed off.
August 18th 2016 Update:
Technician came and discovered the top arms werent spinning due to a broken part. After replacing with new part machine works beautifully now!

I like their old stuff better than their new stuff
Had an Asko for 10 years and it did a great job so became loyal to the brand. Replaced it with this model - It is more energy efficient, as a result every 6 months at least you need to clean out the jet nozzles as per the instructions . And Make sure the knife drawer is pushed in all the way or the soap tablet door won't open. If this model also runs for 10 years I'll be happy

very disappointed at a product that wasn't cheap
This product is less than 2 mths old. Using a normal setting with extra dry and rinse and it's still not getting everything clean. Hasn't done a perfect clean since we got it. Usong Finish tablet and rinse aid too. Not happy as I paid $1500, so expect it to do better than the cheaper brands.

Questions & Answers
Kuukoasked
Hi. I purchased the this dishwasher in 2016.
It was working fine u text you later recently until it showed the F11 error code.
I cleaned the filter, emptied any excess water and pulled then yellow plastic thing and placed it right back in.
I turned on, and it worked.
A few days later, F11 showed again.
Did the same process but this time, the cycle would start, but stop half way through with F11.
I followed the same process.
I waited about 1 week and turned it on again, and same thing.
It seems that the water is not pumping up.
It’s so frustrating as it’s only been 3 years since the purchase and we are out of warranty.
Is there anything else we can do before spending money on the plumber?
Thanks.
