Dont buy it!
W8844XLBelow is my letter to Asko and it clearly outlines ALL of the problems I have with this machine.
I've owned this washing machine now for only 3 months...
To The Complaints Department / Manager -
I purchased an Asko washing machine on 31/05/15 thinking I was paying for a premium product. I wrongly believed in the saying 'you get what you pay for' and as I had forked out a grand total of $2,498.00 I felt very confident that this washing machine would be with us for many years to come. How very wrong i was...
The first machine was fault

After the first Asko technician explained to me that there was no problem and I just needed to be firm when closing the door I just put it down to a quirk and I would learn my way around the machine in due course. Again, I was wrong. After the second technician again told me that there was nothing wrong with the machine and I had to 'slam' the door I once again thought that maybe it could be me. It was never me, it was the machine. I should not have to slam the door to get the machine to work and after persisting for a week more I got finally got fed up and requested that the machine be replaced, which it was. Upon receiving the replacement machine I instantly realised that the original machine was definitely faulty and I was correct. I no longer was required to slam the door and fiddle about to get things going. This machine was however, a little touchy with the start button. I realised after many frustrating mornings that I had to shut the door firmly and then hold my finger on the start button for just the right amount of time before it would start....another quirk perhaps...?Dirty Washing
W8844XLI bought a new Front Load ASKO washing machine in November 2014, my top loader of nearly 20 years began to leak so I decided it was time to upgrade to an energy efficient front loader, I did considerable research and was recommended ASKO by a work colleague. I am very disappointed, the wash cycle is more than twice what I am used to but I believe the water consumption is less. Detergent I use is less but I am not getting the results I expect. I can still smell perfume on clothes and I have started taking pictures of clothes that have "spills
... Read more" on them that I know would have washed off in my old machine, ie pumpkin soup/avocado. I use a bleach in all "white" loads and have noticed my white towels are not as bright. I have rang ASKO and expressed by concerns and I was told to increase the cycle. The current time is 1:25 (which was recommended by the technician who installed the machine) the next cycle is 2:40. We are all office workers and I cannot justify such a lengthy wash which eats into the day. The machine can be programmed to start in the early hours but the spin cycle sounds like a jumbo jet and unfortunately the laundry is below a bedroom.Hi Kylie, A representative called this morning and a technician has been arranged for this Thursday. Many thanks Jayne
