ASUS did excellent work Here, Bought 5 for a client, and two for myself, Would buy more...
Over the long haul, this has been one of the most reliable and higher performing hybrid laptops I have ever used, and has elevated ASUS to my "GO TO" GUY/GAL as a first port of call for hybrid laptops.
Replaced the Windows 10 Home Edition, completely unsuitable for this hybrid, it shackles it in numerous ways too many to describe, migrated all to Windows 10 Enterprise and the babies came alive, performance and the user experience exploded, originally constrained by MS Windows 10, were overcome with customisations to Enterprise.

wn the device and replace components, SSD et al.. The tablet/laptop mode, a nightmare in Home edition, became stable in the Enterprise Release (Professional version for the general consumer) with all users and clients seeing and using the device asking for more. Sadly, these hybrid laptops were hard to come by when first purchased and were extremely hard to acquire in large numbers due to the demand. Still getting 10 hours from the batteries, Lightweight, Fast Performer and stylish to boot. ASUS did excellent work here...Purchased in May 2021 for A$1,599.00.

Quite happy
I looked around a fair bit before deciding on this model. Really good reviews all over the place then convinced me to go for it. I ordered it online, and I had never had a unit in my hand before ordering.
The Good:
Battery life (I deliberately went with the lower resolution (1080 lines) model)
Good touch screen
Ability to completely flip the screen 180 degrees (hence the name I guess) making it so much more pleasant to browse around while on a couch.
Surprisingly good performance (for an i5 processor). It feels responsive and agile (I know, all new machines feel that way, but I tried to take that into account).
Hardly any bloatware
The Bad: ...Read more
The fan is noisy and on almost all the time (I read a lot of reviews where people are complaining about that). A few hours into using it I downloaded a fan control software (https://github.com/hirschmann/nbfc/releases) and that makes a serious difference. It is a nice compact metal unit, but it feels heavy to carry. I guess Apple would call it a "substantial feel to it" rather than heavy and Its only 1.3kg, but it is amazing how much heavier this one feels in comparison to my daughter's Yoga 3 which comes in at 1.2kg.

Good so far - but took three goes to get a working one...
I bought two of these in December 2017 for kids' high school. One was fine, the other had an apparently common fault where it would randomly flip out of tablet mode when held at certain angles. I returned it, but the next one was unfortunately also faulty - a subtle display issue with random pixels lighting up in dark areas. Exchanged again and finally got a good one.
Since then both laptops have been going well. There's a lot to like about these: very thin and light but without feeling overly flimsy (although not as solid feeling as a MacBo...Read more
ok Air, mind you) and the metal body gives a premium feel. Excellent high-res touchscreen, good performance, a battery that will last all day with light use, decent selection of ports, decent keyboard and trackpad (as a Mac user I haven't had any issue with missed keystrokes as reported by another reviewer here, and the kids haven't reported any issues, but maybe we just have heavy fingers...) and the tablet mode works well. The only minor niggle is that even the slightest CPU use will cause the fan to spin up. It's not loud, but in a quiet environment, e.g. at night, it's noticable. Other than that, I'm very happy with these. Obviously Asus has a bit of a quality assurance issue given I had two that were faulty out of the box, so long-term reliability remains to be seen, but so far so good.Similar opinion? Okay, but not great.
The good:
1. Battery life
2. Weight
The bad:
1. One USB port failed within 12 months
2. Keyboard doesn't have much travel. It regularly misses most of my key strokes - my accuracy is down around 50% on the Mac.
3. Slightly crushed on one side despite treating carefully. Pretty fragile and a bit flimsy.
The ugly: ...Read more
1. The switching between tablet mode is pretty awful (not sure if this is a Windows 10 issue or not, but I've given up). I've gone back to carrying a tablet and a laptop when travelling, which is a shame - the reason I bought this machine was to try and go back to one device. 2. I get really strange sizing things from time to time - windows opening in HUGE fonts, or so small that they can't be read. These are typically the ones for file open / save dialogues and these can't be changed. Again not sure if this is a Windows issue or not. Conclusion: If want a Win 10 laptop that's light with good battery life, this one will do the job. If you want a 2:1, these still have a long way to go. If Office worked properly for Mac I'd probably go back to the Mac.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

It Never Worked and Probably Never Will
My review is rather short as I haven’t used it.
I chose Asus to replace an intermittent starting Samsung tablet/laptop hybrid 700T. After researching various brands looking for quality and reliabilty, I thought, I chose Asus and the UX360U (Ser No H10WU07043502D)
It looked nice and felt nice and was light. About 2 or 3 minutes into the set up procedure it gave a beep and the screen went black. There was nothing I could do to get it to start.
I waited 12 hours to get over the feeling of utter disappointment to have spent over $1200.00 ...Read more

It fails trying to be a hybrid Laptop/Tablet
First of all, I did lots of research to buy a laptop which also could be turned into tablet mode; but, not only that, it had to be a light and fast machine. Then after weeks of digging information from the internet reviews websites and forums I thought I had founded the perfect one, ASUS ZenBook Flip UX360CA. However, for my surprise, in the first week of use pretty much every time I flipped to tablet mode the screen went blue with an error message (which I've attached to this review). So I've decided that I should ask Amazon for help, more spe...Read more
cifically I was looking to replace the machine, but I was informed over the phone that it would be impossible and I should contact ASUS directly, what I did. ASUS customer support told me to reset the laptop, which resulted in erasing everything I had downloaded until then. After running the reset alternative the laptop seemed to be running perfectly; but, not for log and the same problem started to happen again. Now is a on and off problem, it is not as use to be but is still happening. Secondly, more problems seems to be happening now. I've bought and downloaded Office 360 University, which is amazing and runs like a whistle, but at times the computer seems not to recognise that is an original and licensed Microsoft Product, forcing me to uninstall and reinstall. The main reason that I was looking for a machine with this kind of features and I bought a very good Microsoft Office is because I've been studying in this computer every day and I can not afford to have troubleshooting of any kind. I hope that my review gets Amazon and ASUS attention and they can offer me a better version of the same machine to replace this faulty one. Yours sincerely Willian Da SilvaSimilar opinion?
