Amazing Product - Great Customer Service!
I never write reviews but have done so here because the manufacturers of this product have exceeded my expectations both in the quality of their product and their customer service and deserve to be recommended.
Issue:
We had a big problem with moisture in our flat. This led to a mould issue that we could not eradicate. It became particularly problematic and we were continually suffering from respiratory illnesses. After spending a small fortune on moisture absorbers we decided to purchase a dehumidifier.

Perfect Product, Perfect Service
We were constantly getting condensation on our bedroom windows, every morning, resulting in mould which had to be cleaned regularly.
We finally decided to purchase a dehumidifier. After doing some research and reading the great reviews for Ausclimate's products and service, we decided to contact Ausclimate for recommendations.
Firstly, let me say how refreshing it is to deal with a business with such profession and courteous service.
Having purchased and used the Ausclimate WDH-930DA for a while now, I am an as "HAPPY AS". Seriously, the w...Read more

Before and after sales service outstanding
I went with this dehumidifier after speaking on the phone with the NSW salesman from Ausclimate. He was very helpful and asked lots of questions about our home to help me decide which model would be best. His background is in remediation water damaged buildings, so he knows a lot about moisture and humidity. The dehumidifier arrived when expected, we plugged it in and have been using for about one month now. It has a digital display to let you know the humidity of the room, a timer, a button to select the humidity you'd like to achieve and a la...Read more
rge container for capturing water. As a previous reviewer commented, it would be really great if the digital display was backlit, but it isn't. I've never owned a dehumidifier before, but it is doing a vastly better job than the desiccant filled closet camels I was using and I wish I'd bought one years ago! The best thing about this brand is the help from the sales staff. They know their stuff and gave me some useful advice that I don't think I'd have received on the floor of an appliance shop or department store, and certainly not from a website. Update March 2016: we've just experience a long, humid summer here in Sydney; we've been giving our dehumidifier quite a workout, using it nearly every day. It hasn't missed a beat and I haven't had any issues with mould growing on our walls/ceiling since we our purchase.

Ausclimate: Exceptional Service
When I first enquired about a dehumidifier from Ausclimate, I was given detailed product information and comprehensive instructions on how to use it effectively. The product performed flawlessly for about 12 months until the electronic timer failed. It only took a phone call to have the dehumidifier replaced, which was done in two (2) days.
[Name removed] and [Name removed] and their support staff responded promptly to phone calls and were extremely polite, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with them.

Recently we stayed with family who happen to have a dehumidifier they bought from Ausclimate
While travelling there we drove through some thunder storms and when we arrived we discovered to my husbands and two boys dismay the dirt bike gear and clothes was saturated. My sister in-law said no problem, she hung up all their wet gear, turned on the dehumidifier and next morning everything was perfectly dry. She raved about how good her dehumidifier was. It had so many uses besides keeping her home mould free. I had never heard of a dehumidifier ...Read more

Great dehumidifier. Outstanding service!
We purchased the Ausclimate WDH-930DA a couple of days ago to help dry out a garage that gets damp during severe rain falls. The smell of it was truly bad and because it is used a lot, we were quite desperate. So I called Russel (who happens to live close by) and left a message. He promptly responded to my message and within the hour I had a unit at my front door. He himself installed it for me. The next day we got a call from Russel to check on how the unit was working and kindly offer to lend us a second one to speed up the process. Now we have two powerful machines working for our much needed garage. This machine is well worth the money (and so it is to live close to Russel!)

Outstanding service
We purchased this dehumidifier because we live in a studio in Byron Bay that used to be a garage and it gets severely flooded every time it rains heavily! After any cyclonic event or heavy rainfall we've had to deal with the smell and sight of mould on our clothing and furniture.
I first looked at the other brands on the more famous appliances websites and then came across some reviews about Ausclimate. As they were all extremely positive and the fact that they're a little local business, I decided to give them a try. They immediately gave m...Read more
e a call to arrange payment and delivery. A few days after we received the dehumidifier (we got the larger model) and our little home was instantly better. The air was immediately dryer, brought down from an average of 85 to 90% humidity to 60% in a few days. Unfortunately one of the little wheels broke after a few weeks so I called Ausclimate and had Russell on the phone. What he did was pretty amazing. Two days later, he came to my place to swap the dehumidifier with a brand new model. I mean, how often do you get that kind of service with most companies you interact with? I'm so pleased with the product and the service that I had to write this review, So that's it, the baby is working very hard right now as we got a lot of rain from cyclone Marcia, and everything stays dry and nice. I totally recommend these guys and Ausclimate. Extremely professional and good hearted people!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect for our working enviroment
House with No Steps who is an organisation supporting people with disabilities purchased this product from Ausclimate in order to process one of our jobs in our packaging department.
This job was to package bath salts and we were having the problem that while packaging the salt was melting due to humidity, we purchased this large home dehumidifier and have never looked back. The product is amazing we no longer have any of our bath salts turning into water and productivity has increased dramatically. We were amazed!
We have to say a huge thank...Read more

Very happy
We bought this unit in 2014 after much research and deliberation, we had recently built our new house which so some degree is too well sealed!
To cut a long story short, during winter with our wood heater on, and drying a lot of clothing in doors, we were getting extreme cpndensation on our windows, to the point of the windowsill having so much water on it, it would spill out onto the carpet!
Admittedly we don't eyt have decent curtains on our windows, which are LOW-E glazing, not double glazed, this would help a little but overall we still w...Read more
ould have had too much moisture in the house. We coupled this unit with a heat-transfer system I installed to move the hot air from above our wood heater, out to our three bedrooms, and the results have been fantastic. We contacted Allan and he was knowledgable and advised us, with our own priorities in mind - on the most suitable unit. We did as he advised and ran it in all rooms in our house with doors shut, then the main areas of our open plan kitchen/dining/lounge and oh my what a difference! We've gone from condensation pooling to very little moisture condensation, no pooling! Naturally this has also reduced the rate in which mould is growing off the moisture...Purchased in January 2021.

Amazing Customer Service
I didn't even know what a dehumidifier was until I moved into a rental property with horrible damp in each of the rooms. The owners (Allan and Russell) between them would spent more than an hour on the phone with me answering my all my stupid questions and helping me make the best use of the device. Within the first 12 hours of using this dehumidifier my loungeroom feels a million times dryer. I cannot remember the last time I received such great customer service. If you are looking for a dehumidifier, go with Ausclimate. There is no way that anyone in a retail shop would have the same expertise as these guys. Also, the item was delivered within 2 days of ordering it. Cannot recommend Ausclimate highly enough!
Super fast delivery

Amazing! Eliminated all our home moisture problems!
I purchased this product, as the downstairs area of our house always seemed damp and smelled musty. When I contacted Allan from Ausclimate, he recommended this machine to rid our home of moisture. Having a young family, we were worried about mould forming over time. This product has been amazing! It collected over 30 litres of water from our home in the first 24 hours! Now we regularly use it to 'freshen up' our rooms, especially during extended periods of wet weather. I even use it to dry washing on racks in my laundry as it is more cost effec...Read more
tive than running a dryer and better for the clothes too! When my children are ill and I have a vaporiser running at night, I use my dehumidifier the next day to quickly dry out the room again. It is easy to use, portable and automatically turns itself off when it is full of water, so you can leave it running while you are out. I highly recommend Ausclimate for their personalised service, haste in delivery and quality products. effective in eliminating moisture, energy efficient, portable, many different uses.1 comment

I ran it for days and days when I first got it, no problems. Once you have sucked up all the moisture you'll only need to run it every few months for a few hours

Hi Penny
We recommend reading over the Operating Tips that is inserted inside the user manual.
This is a really a handy guide to getting the best results from your dehumidifier.
With regard to setting the dehumidifiers humidistat to 30%, this is not so much as a target. What this ensures is that the dehumidifier is running continuously to achieve 'deep down' drying.
Whatever the dehumidifiers' humidity levels go down to depends on quite a few factors such as room size, extent of moisture levels and room temperature.
If you are unsure or want any advice please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We are more than happy to help out.

Sean D.asked
Does it have an auto feature to set desired hummidity? Once it is reached does it turn itself off or down?
thanks

Allan B.AusClimate
Hi Sean
Yes, the NWT Large 35L has a humidistat that you can pre-set at a desired setting.
For example if you set the humidistat at 55%RH the dehumidifier will continue to extract moisture from the air until it reaches 5% below your setting (50%RH). The dehumidifier will again restart extracting moisture when the humidity in the room rises to 5% above your setting (60%). The 5% leeway is designed so the dehumidifier isn't continually stop/starting.
Keep in mind it is only the compressor that stops once it reaches the desired setting, the fan will always continue to operate. This ensures the dehumidifier humidity sensors reads the rooms humidity levels more acurately.

What is the power consumption per hour?
1 answer
Allan B.AusClimate
Hi
The NWT Large 35L is rated at 520w.
The cost per hour can vary depending on where you live. As example, I live in NSW and our peak electricity rate is just over 28 cents per hour therefore to operated the Large 35L on high equates to approx. 14.5 cents per hour.
When compared to other products that can dehumidify such as a split system air conditioners, it is extremely economical considering they average around 3000 to 5000 watts.
Generally most people purchase a dehumidifier to stop moisture related problems like mould, condensation etc and if this is the case for you then to do this it will only cost around $40 - $50 a year to keep an average home dry and mould free.
We also supply 'operating tips' a handy guide to get the best from your dehumidifier.
If you would like more details please don't hesitate to call us on 1800 122100
Kind regards
Allan Bryan
