They take your money and send you crap
Recently ordered two baseball hats for £25.00 from www.babyshowersgalore.com and received two baseball caps which were worth about 50p each. This web site looks too good to be true and it is, they will rip you off. Stay well clear or you lose your money.

Great logo and presentation, the image comes off as professional. Good range but sometimes products are not always in stock and can take months to arrive. Staff are unable to tell you when stock will arrive. I placed an order for my cot and pram in July last year and it did not arrive until mid October. My gift registry vanished and had to be done from scratch again. I was quite annoyed that the online gift registry and in store registry are not able to be synced up with each other.
My latest experience was today at the Camperdown store when...Read more
wanting to receive credit on items received from my sons Christening baby shower. It turned out that when creating this gift registry, the old one (from my baby shower) was not closed and I ended up receiving items from that old one, of which i had already bought since. The manager covered in visible tattoos and an attitude to match was unable to help me saying 'i needed to ask my friends for their receipts'. I almost walked out of the store very upset but insisted on speaking to someone else, It wasn't until a very helpful staff member [name removed] looked up my details on the system and was able to print off the receipts within a couple of minutes. Something so simple, a manager should be able to rectify these very common returns. Some staff are friendly and helpful Slightly disorganised, messy store. Unable to order stock through.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Awful site - do not buy anything from them!
Ordered a bumbo baby seat, money was taking practically straight away. A week later nothing I continually checked there website and it always said processing. I contacted them asking what was happening with my order. I gave them my email address, home & mobile number and ask them to contact me as I could not call them - no response a few days later they updated there "track your order" bit to say item was out of stock and they were going to contact me but I heard nothing. Another week past I had not heard anything from them it had been two ...Read more
weeks since they had taken my money and no-one had bothered to write an email or call to let me know my item was out of stock and to offer me an alternative after 1 month 5 increasing annoyed emails begging for a refund I am still without a bumbo seat or any money I am not looking at what further action I can take. Never, ever buy anything from these people. I would highly not recommend this site I usually always purchase items online using paypal as a safety net but was drawn in by their sale prices it is something I now regret. No pros of any kind! Everything - took my money and never gave me my item. Fair Trading is the next step I think.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I found that I didn't get any assistance when I was looking which for a first time Mum is really frustrating. I also found that in comparison to other baby furniture etc. shops they were really expensive. Lots of things sold together that you really don't need. And things such as bumpers on cots which are not recommended. They did have the giant cotton baby wraps which I love. I got my cradle from here which was fantastic. I also bought the cradle bedding which was more expensive than if I had shopped around.
There is a huge range of items
Lots of things you really don't need

i'm a mother of three and have purchased all my goods from BG Wentworthville, with my first two children(born in '05 and '06)iwas delighted with the service i got at babies galore everytime i shopped there, but with my third child(born '08)i was disgusted in the service i got,the staff where rude, abrupt and had no time for me,i understand new products come in and the staff need to learn to use them, but the 2 different staff that served me just didn't even try. It's a shame but i'll never shop there again. What's going on babies galore were are all your good staff members gone your shop used to be a pleasure to shop in,now its a disgrace.

I have found staff to be well educated on their products and they are always really helpful, they are happy to spend as much time with you as you need. They have pretty good sales and we have purchased really good items with huge discounts. If you spend over $250 in one transaction you get a photography voucher which is a great bonus. Its always worth comparing prices before making a purchase as they can be more expensive than other stores sometimes.
Large variety of good quality brands available, huge range of products, can view and purchase products on line which is great for mums.
Can be expensive.

I can't thank [name censored] at the Belmont store enough for her patience when we were looking at prams recently. Nothing was a problem, she spent so much time demonstrating each one with us - all while our toddler was tearing around the store, which didn't bother her in the slightest! We were able to take each pram outside to see how they fit in the car and how they pushed on the outdoor surface with our son in them. We've come across many stores who are nowhere near that obliging. Although (as with most baby shops) items can be a bit pricey ...Read more
on the floor - everything we have purchased from there has been discounted at the register for us. Sometimes you just have to ask! A great shopping experience overall, would happily shop there again. Great selection, well laid out, very pleasant knowledgeable staff. They have change facilities (rare for our region!) and the store is always really clean and well organised. The nearest store is over an hour away from us! They hold very limited stock on some items, so have to order in which can take a week or two to receive. Our experience has been that this is generally for the larger items though.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bought a lot of baby stuff for our first baby, found some of staff to be a bit rude and not discuss the features and benefits of the products, as first time parents we wanted everything to be perfect andd also had no idea what we needed and what we didn't need. Product knowledge was not something I was impressed with.
A great range of products are available also in matching sets. Have a loyaty program for frequent shoppers.
The price is a little steep compared to other baby stores around. Customer service could use a little bit of a refresh too.

We bought a Jeep Classic Duo pram about 5 months ago after engineer at expo talked it up and sold us on it. We were always going to purchase the Phil & Ted. This Jeep is very overrated and our baby tipped backwards in it. After a very long warranty issue with repairs and phone calls the engineer stated that we must have had bags on the handle for it to tip. This engineer, who works for Carlyles, was very rude and aggressive towards both my wife and I. To cut a very bad, long, experience short the store manager, Keperra, followed this up. The ar...Read more
ea manager then viewed our pram and after a five minute phone call we walked out of the store with a Mountain Buggy Elite. Our experience with the Keperra store has been nothing but first class. If you want extra stress in your life purchase a Jeep pram!! Have bought a fair bit of stock from Keperra store in the last 6 months. Always are treated with respect and never kept waiting for service. Product knowledge by all staff was very good and always were honest with us. Being a large company there are too many policies when it comes to warranty issues which slows up the process.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I came across this site while surfing the internet. I love the range and i think that it is really great that they post australia wide on some items. They can be a little expensive though on most things but they do get some great specials on the website. I bought a blanket from them, the packing was not that crash hot but the delivery was quite fast. I can not comment on the staff as I have not met any as my transactions were online but I can say that my order was processed quickly.
The online facility is great as they do not have this shop in my state
can be expensive

Babies galore always seem to have the best range of products by far and most of the staff working in the Wentworthville store are very knowledgeable and very friendly. You can go in the store and try out their products before buying, which is important for baby items such as strollers, baby carriers etc. But they do tend to be a bit more expensive so shop around once you've made a decision.
Friendly staff and service. Large range of products. Can be on their mailing list to be informed when they are having a sale. Has online shop to check their range. Plentiful parking.
Not the cheapest baby shop around. Can get busy on weekends.

Store and staff are excellent! They just have one downside which is that they seem to be priced quite high. For eg I paid $109 for a playgym, found it later at BIG W for $78 which was their regular price... so can be disappointing. I also bought my pram there in special, $500, later to see if reduced even further down to $350. Again disappointing seeing I bought it well before baby was due, had I waited I would have saved so much more. But the staff sold it to me as a deal of a lifetime so I took it. Great range at their stores though, great place to check out items, just would shop around for price.
Great range
Overpriced on some items

Babies Galore seems like a necessary evil, really. There are things that we pretty much have to get from there, and the experience is typically not very pleasant. The clientele probably also don't help - lots of pregnant confused people and sleep-deprived confused new mums - it's not really the best combo to ensure easy shopping :-)
I find the Chatswood store to have helpful staff and a good range of products.
Chatswood isn't our most convenient store... the most conveniently located is Warringah Mall store in Brookvale, which is terrible. There is a limited range compared to Chatswood, the staff tend to be useless, and they don't honour the advertised specials that the other Sydney stores have.

Terrible
Regarding the Kepperra store: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We had the most incredible saga getting a pram we ordered. Originally two weeks' wait, it turned into over eight, and then we only got it because I filed a formal complaint with the state manager. (In the meantime they kept trying to hoodwink us into taking two different coloured pram sections! Not suggesting that we did, but slipping in other coloured bits, telling us they were the bits we wanted when they clearly weren't.) What was -- at that point -- potentially another further six weeks...Read more
' wait miraculously became only two days' wait once I'd stamped my feet. The state manager called me direct and proceeded to bad-mouth his staff at length, despite me telling him repeatedly that I had to go because I was supervising my young children! He called to iron it all over by applying the Basil Fawlty method. What a shambles. When we finally got in to pick the pram up we were given a bit of a cold shoulder by the staff, presumably because the manager had blasted them. I think their issues are at a systemic level; if staff can't find things, is that their fault, or because the management doesn't have decent systems in place? A total dog's breakfast. Give it wide berth. Close by Poor service, poor management, rude, disorganised, dishonest.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The staff at Castle Hill make shopping a horrible experience - they are rude, make you feel like you are impacting on 'their' time! Customer service is not on their agenda!! However, the following week we went to Wentworthville and the service and products were much much better!!

I went into babies galore campbelltown store on the weekend and walked out feeling so disapointed. I was shopping for a pram for my new baby and as a first time mum needed a little guidance. When I finally got somebody to help me (apparently she was the manager)she was rude, obviously annoyed with other staff, impatient and it seemed that anything that I asked was just too much trouble. I felt so sorry for one particular staff member who was berated by her very loudly in front of customers. My visit to the store was an uncomfortable and unpleas...Read more
ant affair and I couldnt get out of there fast enough. The store was not overly busy and I did not feel that there was reason for her rude behaviour. I will not be shopping at babies galore campbelltown again. I ended up going next door to babyco and received great service and walked away with a pram. I was dealt with with patience and respect and did not get any bad vibes at all. I think it is a terrible representation for babies galore campbelltown. I felt sorry for the staff and their unhappiness is VERY obvious. I dont know how they do any business at all. I certainly wont be shopping there again. product range the managerSimilar opinion? I love this store it is great to see product that i am looking a purchasing. But sometime i find that it dosen not have enough staff to serve every one. I waited about 20 mins one day to ask a question about a product the only reason i waited that long was because it was a safety question and it ended up being not suttable anyway. But on the other hand i also some times walk in and there is no one there and get served straight a way
A Varity of different product and many different brands
Not enough staff

Wollongong (Warrawong) NSW store
If anything, they're probably not the cheapest store around, but they stock a good range and you can generally find something in your price range. Also, makes it easier to justify the price for the service.
Wonderful service, knowledgeable staff, great range, frequent buyer club
possibly price... (show me a cheap baby shop with good stuff though?!)
