Hi there, Just purchased the sensory 7 and using 1 pad as baby is 4.5 months. The alarm keeps going off as baby is very mobile and rolls completely off it. Would it be better to use both pads so that baby is always on at least 1? Thank you!
Hi Chontelle, thanks for the question. Yes definitely use the 2 sensor pads provided. All the best, Oricom Baby Care.

Hi Bec. We had the same issue with our original unit. It still works but we had to press up to 10+ times before the sensor clicked green and stayed on. We rang Oricom Support and they immediately sent a new control unit that works perfectly.

It doesn’t work under a cot mattress unfortunately :( the same thing happened to me and Oricom tech support told me it wouldn’t work under anything thicker than a bassinet mattress
Thank you for letting me know. That would be handy info for them to share before we waste money on a monitor that doesnt suit :(
If the control unit is in the bassinet with baby on top of the mattress, can that cause harm? Like brain damage or risk of electrocution?
Hi there, absolutely not. The unit is battery powered in the control unit so no risk of that at all. Oricom.
Can I assume that if the performance test works accordingly or if the sensor alarm goes off when we remove baby from the bassinet (and doesn’t go off when baby is in the bassinet) that the mattress we have is compatible?
Hi Abbie, if you would like some peace of mind, give our locally based Oricom Support a call as the team will be able to determine the setup with you over the phone and ensure that you have everything working as per the User Guide. Oricom.
Will oricom babysense 7 work with air conditioner and fan running at the same time?
No it doesn't, it will cause minor vibrations kn the mattress which causes the sensor pads to think baby is breathing.
Hi Travis, the Babysense7 sensor pads are extremely sensitive and designed to be in order to fulfill their role.
Due to the extreme sensitivity of Babysense7, it can be influenced by fans, wind, air ...
So no point in keeping it, thanks waste of money, Useless for parents in the Top End.
Hi. I got a growtime breathable mattress. Will the baby sense 7 work with this type of mattress or the springs in the mattress composition will cause an issue. Thanks.

I’m thinking of buying the babysense 7 for the movement detection aspect as my son has just moved into his own room. I already have a video monitor, is there any advantage of buying the babysense/video monitor combo pack (I.e does the monitor actually pair with the sensors, or will the alarm just be audible through the monitor?) or should I just stick with the movement sensors seeing as I already have a video monitor?
Hi Alana, thanks for the message. The Breathing Movement monitor is independent of the Video Monitor. The Breathing Movement Monitor has it's own alarm which is similar to a smoke alarm to alert you i...

All the best, Oricom Baby Care.Hi, I purchased this monitor back in June on afterpay. My son is now 10 weeks old and I’ve just started using the monitor as he is now in his cot. I find the picture quality on the screen very blurry, I can’t even make out my sons face. Is this normal? Is there something wrong with it, I’ve checked the manual and reset it and yet it’s still very blurry. I’m wondering if I can return it and try another one incase this one is faulty??

Hello, I have the baby sense 7.
My Bub is 4 1/2 months.
I set it up and tested it, no alarms went off, so I done the different tests to see what was making it not go off and turns out it is the fan on the roof.
My Bub likes to sleep with the fan on as I think she likes the noise.
How can I use the monitor and have the fan on as well?
Thank you
This is the same minor issue for us, so we only set the fan on low setting. Another thing you can do is to just have the wind from the fan bounce to the wall or ceiling.
It is a ceiling fan, so can’t redirect where the wind goes.
Also I’ve tried it on low but Bub likes it on high

Read moreendation based on the bassinet you have. The Babysense7 monitor has been designed to provide an alert in the form of an alarm if your baby’s breathing movement rate slows below 10 breaths per minute or cannot be detected for more than 20 seconds. All the best, Oricom Baby Care.Hi,
I have the oricom baby sense 7 pads and the alarm has gone off 4 times in the last 24hours. My baby is 7 months old and it has only ever gone off once before, when she had rolled all the way to the top of the cot.
I have read through the troubleshooting. Everything is connected properly, pads on a firm surface, batteries changed, cords connected to the unit correctly.
When I have gone in to check her she has been in the middle of the cot, across the pads. One of the times i could hear her awake in her cot and the alarm went off, so it was definitely false.
Would one of the plates be faulty?

Hi there,
Just replaced all the batteries in our oricom babysense 7 aponea mat, made sure connections were right and sensor pads in correct position.
Pushed the on button with baby in the crib, red light came on and clicking noise didn't stop, just kept clicking. These are brand new batteries and been tested before we put them in. Help! Was working perfectly prior to this.

This has no remote option, it is only a sound alarm, the sensor pads are kept under the mattress. And the monitor is hooked to the cot. If baby stops breathing it sounds a loud alarm.
Hi Linda, the product is not wireless and utilises a hard connection to an alarm which is similar in sound to a smoke alarm. Please see the below video for an explainer of the product and how it works...
