Hey guys. The exact same problem happened with my Bauhn model, which was the same as yours. The ONLY answer is to throw it and buy another TV. The cost to see what the problem is and then have it repaired is not economical. Good brand TV's are so affordable. The money you would end up spending on fixing the one you have (that will probably just have more issues later on) is not worth it in my opinion, and would be better invested in a new quality TV. I've found Sonig, Hisense and Panasonic to be better choices. Hope it helps.

Probably your best option is to try a site called the Remote Control Warehouse. They have a flat rate of $9 postage and stock generic remotes (as good as original) for the ATV50F-415. Punch in "www.remotecontrolwarehouse,com.au".and hopefully they can help out.

Put the USB stick (8GB or more) in the USB slot. While watching a program, push the record button on the remote (red dot). Follow the prompts on the screen. You can also pause a a TV show ((while you get a drink) by pushing the pause button.

I would need more information eg; how often etc? But first check if there is a problem with the remote control by taking the batteries out. If the problem stops it is the remote control. If it still continues, check the power button on the rhd side of the TV. Check that it is not jammed in, push it a few times to see that it moves OK. If still a problem, remove the power cord from the wall for 5 mins and try it again. If the problem persists call a technician.

I don't use the bauhn remote as I have sky remote programmed to the tv. It usually only happens once or twice a day.

There's an auto timer that turns it off after 4 or 5 hours if no controls are touched. You can control or disable it in settings.

Try this; Remove the power cord from the power point. Test the power point by plugging something else into it, eg. a light, phone charger etc. When you are sure the power point is working, plug the TV back in. On the right hand side back of the TV there are a vertical row of buttons. The bottom one is the Standby button. Press this for about 1 second. The TV should come on. Try this a couple of times. If it still does not turn on, you need to have a technician look at it.

Try removing the power totally by turning the power point off for 10 seconds and then back on. Try tuning it on with the buttons on the side of the TV.

Change batteries to rechargeable ones or consider buying a Universal TV remote.

Bauhn,TV;s unfortunately, appear to be of inferior quality, since SO many people have experienced similar problems with them.There is not much you can do once the TV;s start to display technical problems, except as I did, go and purchase a much more reputable brand. TV's are so cheap now and better performing that, to consider spending your hard earned money to repair a fairly new TV, that by rights, should have given much longer viewing satisfaction than what it has, is really not economical.

You also need to turn it on with the remote once you've plugged it into the wall. Check the remote batteries are not flat.

Thanks but there is no power getting to the tv unit so it does now work at all even with remote

Mine is doing this also. I just connected chromecast then changed it back to DTV and its showing no signal.

My bauhn started doing this yesterday. Thought i was going mad. Is there a fix for this? I think the kids plugged in a hard drive into it the other day,not sure if this has anything to do with it. Help

Mine is doing this for the second time...very frustrating. The company talked me through the steps to do a system reset and this fixed the problem but now 6wks later, its happened again.
Unfortunately i can not remember the steps and have tried many things on the menu but have not succeeded as yet.

The TV doesn't have an actual "On/Off" button. 'Running' down the right hand side of the TV are a series of silver buttons. The bottom one is the 'Standby' button, but not a power button. When you plug the TV into your wall socket and turn the power on at the wall, the Standby light will come on as red, turn to blue while watching and back to red when you turn it off by the remote control, and stay red until you switch the TV off at the wall. The wall 'acts' as the On/Off source. Hope this helps.
