Great vac but not for RRP$
We’ve been looking for a good while at another Wertheim as our last one (purchased 2009) died in 2016 (fusion) and the Electrolux replacement was- meh.
Best price I have been offered in sale periods (that apparently will not be repeated outside of strict sale period, the boss will be angry with me if I keep this price after the sale etc talk) and best price offered outside of sale periods is the same, AUD 999.
Bag saver diverter an additional $100.
Previously was also offered a pack of bags thrown in but we were not convinced back then to b...Read more

Best Vacuum Ever
I have had many cleaners in my lifetime; Dyson, Miele, Electrolux all costing similar to the Wertheim Series 7 however I have found the Wertheim superior in many ways I only need to look at the full dust bag.
Purchased in November 2021 at Godfreys Physical Stores for $1,200.00.

Series 7 Wertheim left my Old Dyson for dust
I purchased this yesterday from Godfreys and swung a deal that included diverter and 4 bags (+1 in the machine) for around $1,100 NZD. My daughter had vacuumed 2 days prior with our (now retired) Dyson DC07 then I whipped around with my Nilfisk commercial wet and dry vac just before using the Wertheim Series 7.
To be frank I was shocked at how much fine material the Wertheim drew out of the pile. Super fine dust was vibrated free and captured in the diverted which I emptied countless times (as evidenced in the photo). Remember this is AFTER ju...Read more
st vacuuming leaving no visible debris. Having 2 dogs for many years now I have bragged to friends at how well my Dyson efficiently picked up visible dog hair. This was true but what I didn't realise was how much my Dyson was missing due to its limitations. The weight of the dust/dirt in the plastic bag pictured was noticeable (and quite gross to be honest when considering we have been living with/in it for years now). On the negative side, it is difficult going back to the old horse and cart pulling the motor bag unit around after having a stand up all in one for so long. Now lets see if it lasts 20years like my Dyson did. M.

King of Cleaning
If you have carpet this is the machine for you. The results speak for themself
No other vacuum will remove this much dirt from your carpets.
Take it home and you'll be amazed.
Lucky I purchased the upgraded version.

Excellent Vacuum.. Much better with the Diverter
To be honest I was skeptical to get the machine seeing the reviews but I'm glad I made the decision. The suction power is amazing and it actually works with the vibrating power head. Those who have carpets it's a must. I am blown away by the cleaning quality and the amount of dirt I was living with. The other two heads for the hard floor is great as well. Though it is little expensive but I would say worth every penny. Best vacuum I ever had.

HEAVY, Hard to use, leaves dirt behind
The vacuum while it has great suction it is extremely heavy and hard to use. It tips over constantly on the tiny wheel. The Hard floor tool is pretty flimsy, can’t just go in the direction required and it doesn’t go under lounges easily. While I was sold on the suction and their gimmicky dirt pick up demonstration in store, I have now found that if I go over my carpets with my Dyson stick afterwards it will still pick up dirt and dust that is left behind by the Wertheim. Save your money, my old Miele is better!

Feel like a sucker for buying
Was sold a wertheim buy an enthusiastic Godfrey’s salesman who promised this brand was the best. After years of returning to the shop for repairs, (vacuum was constantly in need of repair), I’ve given up. If you want a vacuum needier than a two year old - fill your boots!
Purchased in January 2021 for $1,500.00.

bad choice
This is our third wertheim vacuum cleaner, first knocked water over it by mistake. Second lasted 5 years after its yearly service at Godfreys where we were told that the motor was going. Godfreys is the only business where you can go for service or repairs. Now third vacuum bought in November 2014 suction is very low and is not collecting dust. Have had this cleaner into Godfreys 3 times over the past years as the vacuum hose was not working and it was eventually fixed.
Costing $1300.00 would not recommend. We have bought a Miele vacumn

Bad purchase, nothing but trouble
Constantly giving you static shocks whenever contact with the metal extension hose is made. Complained in store about this but was told that it is supposed to do that due to the immense power of the head. Its a small price to pay for a better vacuum apparently. The extension hose continually collapses every time you push forward, perfectly fine if you are short of stature but an annoyance if not. Possibly another in built design to make it worthy of the over the top price tag. However you do get rewarded with another shock each time you go to e...Read more
xtend the rod again. When eventually you've had enough of up-righting your cumbersome vacuum cleaner as it rolls onto its back for the umpteenth time and decide to unplug it, you can be delighted to receive another shock from the plug pins too. For whatever reason there is charge stored in the vacuum after it has been unplugged which given the opportunity would will short through your finger if they touche the terminals. After three occasions of having to go back to the shop this was fixed for a brief period however this has returned and is back in the shop for a fourth visit. Poor in store service can be another joy to look forward to, once the up-sale has been completed. Constantly being passed around different staff members and a stream of failed promises you always receive the same deal that they take your vacuum away for a few weeks before returning it in the same condition as before less a few attachments which they are happy to sell you off the shelf. Do not buy a Wertheim even if like me you have had a good one in the past. This is plagued with design flaws and clearly constructed out of the cheapest material they were able to salvage at a local skip.Purchased in January 2021 for $1,299.00.

Noisy but worth it for the rotating head.
Pluses: Best! Head!! Ever!!! On carpet.
Minuses: a couple of things have worn out over the years – quick-unclip, etc, but it’s still useable, perfect suction. Bags bought in small quantities are expensive. Theoretically needs a new internal filter every year. That excellent head is very noisy.
This vacuum replaced a Hoover with a rotating head – the original one was asymmetrical and a pain. (The replacement head was symmetrical and worked well.) When we bought the Hoover (12 years ago) it ‘had the best head’. The Wertheim’s is undoubted...Read more
ly better! This isn’t the current model we have, but they use the same or similar head. Things to note: it is possible to break the foot-operated quick-release. Ditto the extending pipe – jammed at full extension, never worked again. The pressure-release clip was so easy to accidentally operate I taped it over. The (expensive) internal filter that supposedly needs replacing annually can be cleaned to adequate with another vacuum. The cord is ‘light’ – becomes warm with heavy use.Purchased in June 2021 for $300.00.

I was convinced to buy this Vacuum as it can pull out dirt like no other on the market.
I did a test and it’s true.
After you use this vacuum your carpet can be no cleaner than this vacuum can deliver.

Best of the Best
This machine is great. The Powerhead gets out so much dirt I didn't know that were in my carpets. I really like how easy it is to change the suction speed all with the press of the button on the handle. Makes going from surface to surface really easy. This is my Favourite Vacuum Cleaner I've Ever Owned.

No comparison
Great vacuum. Love the way it clean my carpet. Looks like a new carpet now. The soft floor head is amazing for wooden floor and timber or any kind of hard surfaces. It is a great product. And specially the way it filter the air is unbelievable...dont waste your time just buy it.

Surprising performance
This machine has enormous suction, large power head with excellent performance, by far the most powerful and efficient machine I have owned. Previous vacs were Meile and before that Dyson this wins hands down, heavier vac but with redesigned wheels = no problems. Recommend as a no brainer, impressive but not cheap $975.

Worth every penny!
Best purchase we've made in a LONG time.
The dirt that comes out is incredible, the carpets feel nicer, no 'dusty' output.
The various options mean we can do rugs, couches, beds, curtains without worrying they'll get damaged.
The bagless container is also a bonus to save on cost
MAGIC!

its a great machine with powerhead picked up everything including pet hair... can use as air purifier thats the hidden secret..happy with machine performance worth spending money, not want to spend money for dyson anymore, bag is not big enough but if you have diverter you dont need to worry about anything

Beautiful Machine, Brutal Suction, Great Quality
This vacuum cleaner has got to be the most efficient one ive ever bought ever!! It has jaw dropping suction with the powerhead and even without the powerhead, the basic power is far beyond the dysons and other crap in the market. Great servicing offer from the retailer and warranty too. i love the handle! it is soo soft and the machine doesnt hurt my hands like the plastic handles did. It has a European motor which is far more efficient and doesnt chew on electricity! Love the wheels too! looks like a benzzz :) im happy with the suction on my wooden floors too as it has a great hard floor brush! pure awesomeness

So disappointed
This is my third Werthiem vac I’m so disappointed with the new one. Although it has great suction and power head is fabulous, it is the most cumbersome machine the wheels don’t move properly you have to drag it around it turns itself over at every opportunity. I have timber floor boards and three rugs. This is a purchase I regret.
UPDATE.... I took vac back to Godfreys today served by [name removed] who rectified wheel problem in 10 mins they hadn’t been put on vacuum correctly. Much happier with my vac now !!!! Thank you [name removed]

Movement and tipping problems
This is my second Wertheim but disappointed with the movement and tips over if you try to change directions. Very heavy to handle and vacuum doesn’t glide easily. We have wood floor and carpet and find if you use the carpet device it is so heavy to handle . Does a good job with the suction.
