Very disappointed

published

This vacuum has lost most of its suction after 2 years of use. I've kept the filter clean and have checked for blockages. All clear. This vacuum does not live up to the brand reputation at all.

Purchased in May 2021 at The Good Guys for $349.00.

Disappointed

published

I had a Dyson vacuum in the previous 10 years, which I was extremely happy with. I chose to purchase a Dyson again but this time I am disappointed. The issue is the brush head which does not perform like the old one. Anything bigger than dust gets pushed along rather than sucked up. It sucks from the sides but not the front. It makes it very difficult to use on tiled stairs. I find I have to go over sections multiple times to pick up crumbs or sand. It performs better on carpet where the brush is not an issue.

Lives up to its name but pretty ordinary.

published

A few parts have started coming lose n it doesn't seem as strong as my previous Dyson but I've given it a super workout.
Gets blocked easy but easy to unblock.
Light n easy to swivel around.
Only comes with basic brush head n two small attachments.
No power head.

great cleaning but heavy

published

This machine is a great option when you need to do intensive cleaning and a long run ! -it has excellent suction power; easy to keep clean and comes with a good warranty and spare parts service. I prefer a wireless vacuum when needing to do short on the spot cleaning but for a large house and for more detailed cleaning - windows, sofa, corners etc.... great to use !!

Light and easy to move around and clean. It alwats clean the floor good and is a lot better to use were the stand up on put alot of stress in the risk when turning so the smaller vacum is a lot better and easyer to use. Glad i got it

Great vacuum but over rated

published

Great vacuum and I must say I do love it but I personally think theres pretty good competition out there now for vacuum cleaners that won’t set u back as much as Dyson does.
Does tend to tip over when full and does get lots of dust / dirt built up in the filter which is kinda hard to fully clean out.

Great vacuum

published

This is a great vacuum, it sucks up all the really fine dust & reduces dust in the house, I only ever have to give it a once over, it holds a reasonable amount of dirt so you don't need to empty it constantly and we purchased the turbine head as well which is great for carpet area

Doesn't lose suction according to advert. ALL LIES!

published

This thing doesn't like working on Lino or tiles or Hardwood floors, it just scrapes the floor surface regardless of setting, the carpet setting is useless on carpet but ironically the hard floor setting works ok-ish. I'm forever fiddling with the stupid plastic fittings on the tube and head to get it to actually clean. i'm forever fooling about with the canister to get it to suck properly. It gets stuck easily and falls over constantly. The cleaning tools are as much use as a cardboard spanner. I would have been better off keeping my $50 Kmart special seriously it was much better. I'm quite convinced i paid $400 for just a brand name that is synonymous for the rich end of town.

Its an average machine

published

I bought this from Good guys Ebay, was hoping more from Dyson to be honest, not the strongest machine
Its very heavy and noisy. the suction is not that great, i ended up a turbo brush separately for my carpet.

Spending $350 its not worthy i guess, i wish i bought a Mille machine.

Worst Ever Dyson

published

After only being 3 years old the vacuum cleaner started to make a strange noise now it's making popping noise. Barrel gets really hot. After every use I empty the barrel and I have to clean the filter after every use.
Same thing happened to my friends and it started to smell like the motor was burnt out. We purchased them in the same day! My old Dyson is 15 years old no problem what so ever and it's still going unfortunately I gave it to a friend. $400 for this vacuum cleaner to last 3 years is a joke. 3 weeks ago the handle broke as well. Wouldn't recommend Dyson to anyone where as before this purchase I would highly recommend. Total waste of money...Unfortunately, I cannot find the receipt due to moving house to get a refund.

So good my husband actually does the vacumning

published

This is the first time that a product is so good that I never have to use it! My husband loves this so much I don't ever have to do the vacuuming, as it has becoming his weekly chore. We live across three floors and have a lot of carpeted stairs to keep clean so need something light and movable and this is just that. The suction is great and it is so easy to get the floor sparkling every week.

I cannot recommend this Vacuum enough!

published

The suction on this dyson is AMAZEBALLS! It sucks so much that we have to make sure not to suck the blinds into the vac. I have sucessfully killed many huntsman spiders with it!
It is not very light or quiet but is easy to maneuver.
I have mostly carpet, however also a small amount of old tiles. The vacuum easily cleans both! My unit is a 2 bedroom with a small bathroom, kitchen and laundry.

Expected it to clean!

published

I like the length of the cord... overall it's a neat package. However, I really did expect it to clean my floors. It leaves a lot behind and it blows pet hair across the floor. I have to jiggle it a bit to try and pick up bulkier bits on the floor. It usually spits those back out. Sigh.

Gets blocked too often.

published

This vacuum cleaner has good suction and it is easy to wheel around, the cord is of adequate length, the noise levels are good for a vacuum of this quality, it is easy to empty once its full of dirt and i have found this cleaner to be durable and able to handle a lot of knocks and rough handling, on the negative side i have found that this vacuum cleaner gets blocked often at the point where the hose connects to the barrel of the machine and clearing the block is a time consuming process and for this reason alone i am only willing to give it 3 stars

My Dyson D37 power head makes a poping noise when engaged. I have checked for blockage and checked the filter. Any suggestions?

A popping sound usually indicates an obstruction within the airways of your machine. We encourage running through the checks outlined via the link below which should help get your machine back up and running as it should:

DC37C Origin

Hi Guys, I bought the Barrel Dyson DC37C origin some time ago from Aldi - the only thing I don't like it to a point I am going to give it away is it makes an horrible noise - very loud squeaking - when used on tiles. That is in both head positions. And my house is mainly tiles. Is anything I can do or just put it in the bin?
Pls reply also to my email address [email removed]

We certainly wouldn't expect any of our machines to make a loud squeaking noise when in use.

We would kindly ask you to forward your details and the serial number of your DC37C to [email protected].

Once received, one of our Dyson Experts will be in touch and only happy to help.

Excellent Customer service you have at Dyson, all sorted, new floor tool received, thank you very much!!!!

Hi Adrian,
I’m having the same issue with mine in a new house I’ve moved into which has tiles and no carpet. Loved my Dyson on carpet but it’s terrible on tiles :(
Which tool is the one you use on floors? Mine only came with the little corner one, the small area one and the little brush.
If you could point me in the right direction that would be great thanks!
Louise
