Machine keeps beeping when running

HI there
Please help. I have read all the questions and answers but nothing is helping and the manual doesn't seem to explain my issue. I accidently pressed the touch screen with my hip, now it seems I have set up auto-dosing (or changed another function) and I can't turn it off. On some programs the water drop symbol flashes (I have emptied all the water with no results), while on other programs the auto dosing symbols flash. I have tried turning off auto dosing (but I'm not actually sure how to do this - the manual doesn't explain how to turn "off"), but can't seem to do this. So two issues, the water drop symbol and the auto-dose....

murcod ·

Check page 12 in the owner's manual. It shows the button to press to toggle through to turn both the auto dosing options on or to select manual for powder. https://www.beko.com/au-en/support/user-manuals-result?search=BFL103ADW

IIRC correctly it won't matter if you've got auto dosing on for the detergent (with the detergent compartment empty) and instead put powder in the central opening. The powder will still get washed down into the tub.

Have done this now :) however machine still not working on any program and the water drop symbol is flashing.

Does anyone know how to reset error codes on the BFL103ADW? Holding the On/ Off button for 3 seconds is supposed to (from what I've found online) but it won't clear the E12 error. I've drained the water via the pump filter. Last time it happened waiting 2 days with the power off reset it. :(

This could mean that there is excess water in the base or you have a problem with the float assembly because the pressure sensor is reading there is too much water in the washer.
Another possibility is there is too many soap suds caused by either adding too much detergent or sometimes when you wash cleaning cloths and add detergent even though there is cleaning liquid already on the cleaning cloths.
When doing anything to the washing machine always unplug the power at the wall

Excess Water in the Base
Drain all the water out of the machine by removing the sump hose (on the front) to drain the machine.
If there is water in base you will need to remove as much as you can by manually draining the machine (even tilting it forward will hopefully get all the water out, and soaking up the rest in the base with towels should help reset the float.
****Have lots of towels around on the floor to catch all the water (yes I know ... more washing)****

Excess Soap Suds
You could try flushing it clean on a rinse cycle first to see if this clears the error with an empty load or you will need to get the water out using the above method.
Also check there is not a build up on the pressure switch (try 3/4 filling a water bottle with water and adding dish washing liquid and shake ... to see what I mean about Soap Suds Pressure)
You will need to find the pressure switch remove the pipe and blow through it.
You may have to remove the sump hose to get at the pressure bowl to blow through everything.

Hope it helps

Thanks Family of Four. I'll post up more info after the tech comes to fix it.

Beko suggested running it at 90C on a Cotton cycle with either bicarb soda or Epsom salts as it was most likely scale build up. That didn't work and it stopped again with error E12 at the final spin cycle.

murcod
murcod ·

Okay, so my issue is it leaking water into the base of the machine. It can be cleared by taking the rear panel off and soaking up the water (unplug the power first!!!!) Or, the easier method is to tilt the machine forward carefully. Hold it on an angle (about 30 to 40 degrees should be enough) for about 30 seconds and the water will leak out the base. Be careful as the front feet may slide if/ when they get wet.

Then hold the On/ Off button for 3 seconds until it counts down and turns off. Turn it back on and the error should be cleared. Obviously leaking water and electricity isn't a good combo so be careful.

Machine will not start, water droplet icon flashing not sure what that means nothing in user manual, tried resetting machine and it still won’t start any cycle.. Only purchased 2 weeks ago..

Family of Four
Family of Four ·

From what I understand, the flashing water drop means that the detergent is being dispensed, but if it is not starting I reckon that there is a fault with the part that then switches over to the actual washing once the detergent cycle is completed.
I reckon it's a warranty issue

Lee
Lee ·

Thank you, have put in a call for someone to come out, so frustrating as I’ve only had the machine for two weeks

Mel R
Mel R ·

Hi there, did you end up getting this resolved? Currently have the same issue!

Lee
Lee ·

Yes had to get someone out, mine was under warranty, machine needed to be set back to factory setting something to do with water pressure, apparently it’s a common problem

Hi Lee,

This is happening to my machine now. Have called to have someone come look at it but that could take awhile. Do you know how the master reset was done? I'm being told to hold the start/pause and cancel for 3 seconds but my machine doesn't have a cancel button.

Lee
Lee ·

Hi, no I tried the hold start/ pause that doesn’t work.. The repair guy took the back of the machine off to reset it, so I’m not sure how and what he did and if it’s something you can do yourself..

J Newton
J Newton ·

Thank you, I have contacted beko since mine is only a year old but unfortunately it will be 2 weeks untill someone can come look at it because there are only 2 authorised beko repairers in my area.

Can anyone tell me what it means when a flashing ‘water droplet’ light appears in between the detergent and softener lights on the display? There is no mention of that light/symbol at all in the user manual, and what ever it is, it’s stopping my machine from doing anything. Thanks!

Family of Four
Family of Four ·

I'm sure it means detergent is being dispensed.
If the detergent or softener icons flash it means they need refilling.

We just purchased the BFL103ADW and have had it installed, it replaced a 10 year old Samsung wish I wish we had kept, even at 10 years old it was quieter than this 3 day old machine. We have checked and rechecked the levels, it is perfectly level and this thing sounds like its an industrial jackhammer when it flips into spin mode.... not very happy at all..... Reading others comments about this machine and its noise - is this a fault with the machine?

Meg
Meg ·

Have you removed the transit bolts?

MIT69
MIT69 ·

Yes they were all removed and placed into the bag with the instructions by the installers.

Family of Four
Family of Four ·

We replaces a Simpson and ours is pretty damn quite.
The only time ours sounded like a jackhammer is when the girls put a load of towels in all rolled up, and it caused it to be unbalanced

Meg
Meg ·

Foam block under front removed? All transit bolts? We have had no issues with same model.

MIT69
MIT69 ·

Yep all 5 bolts and no foam block, maybe we just got a Monday morning or Friday afternoon machine and it’s not quite right

Meg
Meg ·

Beko do have foam blocks under the front of them that need to be removed. What spin speed do you have it on? What cycle?

Melissa J. ·

Hi Family of four. I can’t comment on your post. I just wanted to find out what the end result was on your machine repair

murcod
murcod ·

MIT69 keep an eye out for water leaking from the base of the machine. Ours started making the loud "jack hammering" noise on higher spin speeds and it's got major problems.

Have I overlooked it in the user manual, or is there not a beeping function that alerts us when the load has finished?

Family of Four
Family of Four ·

Hi ReneeE
The only audible sound is a little 'chirp' when the function has finished.
You missed nothing in the user manual.
It's a little annoying to start with, but you get used to it.

ReneeE
ReneeE ·

Thank you so much, I haven’t heard anything LOL maybe I use to my old loud beeping machine.

murcod
murcod ·

There is something in the user manual where you can adjust the volume level.

Is there a way of overriding the auto function if we think it’s dispensing too much or too little liquid?

Family of Four
Family of Four ·

If you turn off the auto dose function, you can then self dose with what you think should be the correct amount into the middle compartment

ReneeE
ReneeE ·

Thank you so much

murcod
murcod ·

You can adjust the auto dose amount for detergent and softener. Check in the manual- there are three selectable levels.

Where does powder go opposed to liquid in detergent draw?

Meg
Meg ·

1. For pre wash
2. For main wash
3. For softener

Family of Four
Family of Four ·

If you mix the powder with a little water making a paste you can then put in in the same drawer where you put the liquid.
Doing it this way is also more gentle on your clothes than just adding powder on its own

• Drum Cleaning - Press and hold pet hair removal/drum cleaning button for 3 seconds until screen changes to 700 70, then press start. Operate the program while the machine is completely empty. Use regularly (once every 1-2 months) to clean the drum and provide the required hygiene. Machine will empty after first short clean, then refill and continue to second clean that takes a long time! Clock counts down from 2 hours in hours and minutes. I just got to 1:27 & counting. Leave door open after cleaning ends to let inside of machine dry out.

The drum light does not seem to work, can i fix it or do i need to get it done professionally?

Most likely the wires have broken off the light's plug. It happened to mine, you'll need to get a professional to fix it.

My machine wont start. The water symbol is coming on. (Located between the two auto dousing symbols)
I have manually drained the machine and cleaned the drainage filter.
I have also checked that water is available to the machine

Is it necessary to use fabric softener

Beko
Beko ·

Hi Carol,
That's a great question, If you line dry you should use it as the towels will come out fluffy but if you use a dryer you don't need to use fabric softener.

I chose daily quick wash for 28 minutes and pressed auto dosing for liquid laundry wash. When it reached down to 8 minutes the timer changed to another 25 minutes by itself on same daily quick wash and when it reaches 0 time unable to open the door not until switch off power . I bought this machine april 2022

Someone show me where to put liquid detergent their is three places for the detergent

murcod
murcod ·

The left hand side compartment is for liquid detergent, the centre (open) compartment is for powder detergent and the right hand side is for fabric softener. (It's in the manual.) Use the "Auto Dosing" key to select which compartments you want to use. There's the bottle and flower symbols- bottle is for liquid detergent, the flower for softener. They appear to flash continually if either is low/ empty. You press (rather touch) the "Auto Dosing" key repeatedly to toggle turning them on/ off for the washing cycle. You'd want the bottle and flower symbol on solid to use liquid detergent and softener.

The part that contains the drum (and water) is some type of plastic. The two previous Asko's I've had were stainless steel.

Does the door unlock as soon as the wash ends, or do you have to wait a minute?

The door lock releases straight away at cycle end on these machines. It also has a release leaver in the drain pump area at the bottom in case it fails to open.
