Still a good investment
My machine has been working juicing 2 ltr mostly vegetable with some fruit thrown in every third day for 9 months Great juice and by product is great for fritters with caned fish or mixing in stir fry .
1 little break down with plastic drive gear which was sent in very quick time from Byron Bay.
Then I had a motor failure so a call to Byron Bay and advised to post return . Received back in 10 working days under warranty .
Service is 5 star staff very helpfull
Quick juicing, good quality juice, (cold pressed) less noise then a high speed machine reasonably easy cleaning. 4 star my tick

Very Unhappy BioChef Atlas Slow Juicer customer!
I bought my BioChef Atlas Slow Juicer just a few weeks ago and I am totally unsatisfied about my purchase! I usually juice pineapple, cucumber, apples, spinach, celery, ginger and it continually blocks up and it does not get through the auger successfully - there are big pieces not getting crushed and just sitting. I am very unhappy and dissatisfied with this machine. I decided to buy this machine off Amazon from Vitality4Life. I think after spending £200-00 I should be getting a decent machine and not having a problem every time I juice. I bou...Read more

Very unhappy with my purchase - Should say "unsuitable for leafy green veges"
I am very disappointed in this Juicer which my mum and I went halves in for me for Christmas. I have used the juicer three times and each time, regardless of what I do, the pulp shoot gets completely blocked. I bought a juicer because my naturopath advocates juicing, particularly leafy green vegetables as a great way to get a shot of nutrients first thing in the morning. My ideal juice has kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, carrot, apple and ginger. I have read the "handy hints section" and done everything including;

Hi Eve,
Thank you for making contact and sharing your opinion. Our priority at Vitality 4 Life / BioChef is for our customers to find the right juicer for them so they continue to juice regularly.... Read more
The BioChef Atlas is popular as it has a small kitchen footprint, is great for more fibrous vegetables, excellent for fruits and makes a creamy nut milk. For people wanting to juice large quantities of leafy greens (which it sounds you do), we would recommend the Oscar Neo 1000 or the Oscar Neo 1200. The horizontal style juicer will deliver a superbly smooth juice and excel at leafy greens. http://www.vitality4life.com.au/juicer-oscar-da1000/ http://www.vitality4life.com.au/oscar-neo-plus-1200-juicer/ With the quick change of the juicing strainer to the 'blank' strainer, the Oscar models turn into a 'raw food' kitchen appliance to make frozen fruit sorbets, nut butters, salsas, pesto and many other recipes. Aside from you being within the 30 return period, I would encourage you to contact us at [email protected] or on 1800 802 924 to chat with us about the finding a juicer that is more suitable or returning the BioChef Atlas. We also have demonstration models which come with full warranty and at a discount price. We look forward to hearing from you. Kindest regards Michelle and Team VitalityI'm grateful to Vitality 4 Life for their help in assisting me to get juicing again. I would recommend them as they were able to provide me with advice to ensure that I was able to achieve my juicing goals. Thank you.

Disappointed
I already have centrifugal juicer and 2 days ago I bought Biochef Atlas slow juicer from David Jones just because I read it produces better quality juice and some reviews said that it even produces more juice than centrifugal ones - what a lie! I tested both juicers with same amount (1,5kg) of apples, mandarines and beetroots (each same amount as well) and I got 100ml more of pure juice from centrifugal one with same amount of pulp, only there were also debris of fruits in juice from Atlas juicer which should not be in juice (only pulp like it ...Read more
was advertised) and yes, I did cut all fruits on small pieces and fed them through juicer slowly and bottom yellow plug closed. So centrifugal juicer is faster, gets you more juice and it is debris free. Cleaning takes pretty much same amount of time. Other thing I've noticed about this juicer is that bellow small white plastic gear wheel juice stays trapped in the little hole where little screw is and only way to clean this is to unscrew little screw with screwdriver and than wash it out, so it does actually have more parts that can get damaged during time comparing it to other centrifugal juicer. I will be returning it or maybe replacing it for Oscar Neo.2 comments

rying needs and requirements. For some, the small kitchen footprint and cold press juice which is extracted from the BioChef Atlas Slow Juicer is preferable. For people wanting to juice large quanities of leafy greens amongst other fruits and vegetables, with the added functions of becoming a Living Food Kitchen Food processor, the Oscar Neo may be preferable. The horizontal style juicer will deliver a superbly smooth juice. Some people prefer the speed of the older style technology of the centrifugal juicer too.taste was same but the texture little different...Something really doesn't add up...the slow juicer should extract more nutritions that means more volume..but it doesn't..and the debrits part of it is... So Disappointed With The Biochef Atlas Juicer
I was so looking forward to the juicing experience so went for a more expensive model. Followed the book recepes and cut everything up small, made sure the little yellow stopper was firmly in place and all was put together properly. after the 5th go at juicing I have given up. All we get is a glass full of bits. I don't want a meal every time I want a glass of juice. Also there should be a lid designed to scoop the froth off the top when pouring the juice out. And I am so sorry to say it's a nightmare to clean out the bottom chamber, I don't th...Read more
ink this can be done in 1 minute, took me 15 mins and there is still bits stuck in it. Also the only way to hook out the stuck bits in the juice flute was to poke something up there and pull it out. This juicer is going back to the shop....3 comments

er 20 years so we love to assist our customers with any advice and ensure they have the right juicer for their needs. The juice quality can depend on what is being juiced, the freshness of the produce and the preparation. All vertical style cold press juicers will produce a pulpier juice than a horizontal style of juicer. We do offer a strainer to place over the juice collection jug for any of our customers that prefer less pulp.Thank you for your feedback to. ws the whole apple/carrots to be fed into the juicer without the need to chop. We do recommend that if you are juicing long fibrous produce such as celery, kale or Spinach you will get a better result by cutting a celery stick for example into three portions. This allows for breaking up of the string of fibre which then reduces the amount of pulp. You don't have to do this but with customers that prefer less pulp I usually recommend this. It is not needed for carrots, apples etc though so not sure why you were advised of this.Similar opinion? Romeo Mifsudasked
Hi l have the Atlas model the other day l was putting cabbage through the machine and the juicer stopped is there an overload in the motor from burning out and why is it doing that l cut it up into pieces.

Vitality L.BioChef
Good Morning Romeo, sometimes it will stop when there is too much produce jamming up in the drum? Are you able to put it in reverse? This normally works combined with unblocking and emptying the drum, then you can normally proceed as normal. If you are still having issues please contact us at [email protected] and someone can call you to go through some trouble shooting tips. Warmest Regards Bec Vitality4life

Are the removable parts of the machine dish-washer-safe?

Vitality L.BioChef
Hi captainKebab, Thank you for your question. The parts of this juicer are not dishwasher safe due to some parts having seals on them.
Kind Regards,
