Powerful
I found this to be the best value for money and it comes with 2 years warranty which was important to me as I've had others in the past fail after a year. Apart from being a little noisy, it has great suction and is light to hold. Although it didn't come with a charge stand, charging the unit is pretty quick after using it for 5 mins or so.

Great, perfect for spot vacuuming
Great little vac that looks after the times in between big vacs. I've used for back of cupboards, carpets, rugs, car seats, kitchen floors and sofa. Great for little bits and bobs. It doesnt stay on for much longer than 10mins but quick cleans don't usually need much time anyway.

If you don't like yours, read the instructions.
Great cordless vacuum cleaner. Goes hard for ten minutes. Use to have an older version. This one is like comparing a Tesla model S to a golf cart. Only bought it because of good reviews, and am not disappointed. No, I don't have shares in the company. Power cords will soon be a thing of the past. Like crank handles for starting your car.

Faulty... again!
I purchased a Black & Decker Dustbuster (DV1610-XE) in February 2015. Within 12-months it had stopped charging and I was given a replacement in February of this year.
Alas, the same issue has occurred again in just over 6-months of very limited use. The appliance is no longer charging and is therefore unusable.

hand held vaccum
Good machine, works well when filter is regularly cleaned as when not cleaned out it doesnt pick up dirt as well.
The machine needs to be fully charged before use and then left on charge all the time when not being used.
I have found that it worked better the second time i used it, than the first time and picked up dirt alot easier as well, it really needs a good 48 hours to charge before use not 24 as recommended.

Best little thing
I’ve owned 2 other handheld vacuums before, and this Black and Decker is by far the best. I’ve had it for a few months, and I use it every day to vacuum up small messes and have not had to charge it yet. Also the built in brush is really handy.

My new best friend.
I can't believe I've gone through the last 5 years with 2 kids without one of these. I owned one (other brand) before having the kids but I wasn't happy with it and haven't used it much. Therefore I lost faith in handlheld vacuum cleaners and never thought of buying another one again.
Until recently when I saw my friend using one, after one of our kids broke a glass at her home... If it was my house, I would have gone and grabbed the big old dinosaur, our old and heavy vacuum cleaner, cords and all.
I came home keen on it, did my research and...Read more

LOVE IT
I have been in my new house now almost a year and this is one of the best items I have. It is so handy, useful and reliable especially in the bathroom to suck up hair from the floor.
I got the wet and dry vac so it is very good to use it in the kitchen as well.
Convenient

Great Handy Dustbuster
Hubby bought this B&D Dustbuster home, my first reaction was to take it back to the store as our old one(different brand) didn't day have much suction. But wow am I blown away by this B&D. Suction is awesome for some light everyday use and I love how it is so easy to charge with its own standing charger.
Good handheld Dustbuster for small cleaning job that won't break the bank

Very disappointing
I had a Black & Decker dust buster for years that I loved, it was great but sadly the battery would no longer hold much charge so I bought one of these - bitterly disappointed, you have to empty the filter every few seconds to keep the suction going. Very sad, want my old one back :(
Sorry, can't find anything I like about it
Pathetic suction unless filters are cleaned constantly

l just bought the hand held vac( DVJ320J) today, and plugged it in to charge, is it normal for the red light to continue flashing? and should it stop flashing once it has charged? thanks, hope l get an answer

Can l just ask, does anyone ever receive a reply to questions?
The red light is supposed to blink while it is charging. (I understand it takes 5 hours to fully charge - which is ALOT!!) When it stops blinking, it's fully charged and then there is no light. You will see a green light when the "boost" function is used (i.e. pressing the "Go" button twice).

Only a few months old. While charging the full charge green light does not come up. Instead the red light blinks for some time and stops. Don't know if there is a problem

We just wanted to mention that due to the nature of the NiCad battery that this unit has, it is recommended to fully charge and fully discharge the battery a few times. This is the best way for the battery to achieve its optimum state. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you require any assistance. Thank you B+D
