ok for 18 months

we used it once a fortnight charged after use or if battery ran down(15-20 mins). Slowly the time for a useable charge become less than 20 secs, buy another brand..the battery does not last.

Purchased in November 2017 for $100.

Intermittent Stop/Go started after about 6 months

published

When we bought it the functions were good, reasonable life on battery, cleared all we wanted, about 6-9 months into having it started stopping (fully charged) after about 10-15 seconds, had to wait another 10 seconds and start again - no problem with battery, I think the product is a lemon.

Purchased in February 2016 at Bunnings Warehouse.

Blows intermittently when fully recharged - very disappointing!

published

I bought a Bosch as I believed it was a reputable brand. The blower (ALB 18 Li) started out working fine - it would blow solidly for 10 minutes before it went into start-stop mode (signalling the battery was running low). I would recharge the battery, and away I'd go again. However, after only about 25 uses, the blower started playing up. Specifically, despite its battery being fully recharged, it blew only intermittently - from the get-go. In other words, it no longer generated a constant stream of air. In short, it's a lemon. I will never buy another Bosch product again.

We got this with the hedge trimmers that I love....
We live rural and get lots of bugs on veranda, it does move them.
I use it to blow the grass clipping and leaves back onto lawn from the whipper snipper before mowing with catcher, it works perfectly...
Saves sweeping...
We got two batteries so have no problem with battery life and get around our large home with ease.

Great Value and Product for the Money

published

Have Owned The 18v Blower for 6 months is great for the Patio and front deck, battery last's about 15mins which is not a big issue when you have another battery. For Larger Jobs you cant go past Petrol but this little blower is perfect for the back patio and courtyard also my wife can utilise without having to grab the petrol unit out of the shed which she hates to do. ALl in ALL great unit for the price would recommend to buy for small patio or courtyard areas.

Perfect for courtyards and patios

published

I bought this product needing something light. Unfortunately it is not sized for my yard. It is perfect for my aging mother and her courtyard and driveway area so she will be getting it for Christmas. I am using it in the meantime and have found it to be adequate for the smaller jobs ie pathways and patios. Battery life is around the 10 to 15 minute mark. It isn't powerful enough to free cobwebs and you need to get up close to budge sand.

Not having used any other battery powered tool I am rating this 5 stars as it does what it says it does.

I would thoroughly recommend it for the smaller jobs.

Right size tool for the right size job.

published

I bought this blower after reading many reviews; the down side was known as the battery life and good side was light and very comfortable to use. It's just a matter of picking the tool for your yard size (small plot) and your physical stature (chainsaw-man). Good luck to the chap who got a spare battery thrown in. I recharge following use and have had the blower for over a year with no problems. I may buy a second battery to extend the range. Bosch does need to expand the battery interchange-ability range with the hedger tools.

Easy and works well.

published

With a special of an extra battery thrown in, purchased this Bosch blower from Mitre 10 and very happy so far. Light enough to carry around and excellent blowing force. Only down point is that once the trigger is released you cannot immediately use again but must wait about 3-5 seconds for it to activate. It is not a huge issue but it is an irritation. Why this is I don't know.
