Hey guys, I've had this unit for 5 years or so. Worked amazingly up until a couple of days ago. The fan still spins, but no light or heat comes on?
Just seeing what i need as i'm sure it's an easy fix. Thanks!

Yeah, I had it - turned off power supply for it and turned back on after a minute, started working again.

While using the grill function and when the temperature reaches the correct heat and the thermostat light goes out, the grill works ok for a few seconds and then the display goes blank and the oven stops working. I turn the power off and after a few minutes I reset the clock and everything works ok. Can you tell me what is wrong?

We have a Bosch Oven (HBA13B150A).
We were cleaning the oven and afterward we couldn't close the door.
According to the Manual (pics) it looks like the locking levers are in the wrong position (pics).
We tried moving them but they appear to be stuck and didn't want to force them unless we had to.
Are we doing something wrong trying to get the locking levers up, or should we continue to force them? Any particular tool?
We're renting and this happened once before (when cooking) about 6 months ago and the Real Estate got a Handyman to come out. The Handyman fixed it in about 5-10 mins (I didn't see it) and said that this is a common issue with the Bosch ovens but easy to fix. We spoke to the Real Estate again but this time they want to charge us, so we're hoping that someone on Reddit knows how to fix this easily so we can save some cash.
Also, the guy didn't say it was specifically the locking levers that were the issue, I'm just thinking it is because their positions seem wrong according to the manual. It could be something else perhaps?
Thanks,
Zui

Hi zuirey8,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch oven. When refitting the door, check that both hinges are positioned exactly inside their respective openings. The bottom groove of the hinges must fit snugly on both
sides. The door may be left crooked if the hinges are not mounted properly. Reclose the attachment levers. Then you should be able to close the oven door. This process can be found in page 11 of the user manual along with images to assist with the process. However if you would like to speak to someone, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744. Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch HBA13B253A.
The function you use would depend on what it is that you're cooking, we'd be happy to give you an overview of the appliance so please contact us on 1300 369 744 to discuss further.

Hi Hayla
Apparently I wrote the wrong oven series (sorry!) and it sounds like you just have the oven which is a fan oven only and not both the fan and conventional oven. And I also paid over $1,000 for mine to get both functions.

Hi Bosch Team,
Absolutely stoked with this oven. However, the clock/timer buttons are no longer responsive (only about 12months old). Clock still works (and keeps time) but timer/mode buttons don’t.
could you advise if there’s any troubleshooting tips for this?
Cheers,
Ali

That is not true, this has happened to me before and I googled it and found out there is a way - I also too called Bosch Head Office - and NO-ONE there knew how to do it.... quite ridiculous really, anyway once I remember how to do it I will reply.

Does this oven have a plug to connect to a power point ?
3 answers
Unsure but the oven has to have its own fuse in the fuse box. I had a electriction install it for me. I would be leaning to a no on a power point connection.
Vaccums do x
No.. This oven needs to be hardwired

am looking to buy Bosch oven HBA13B253A. Nowhere can I find if it is fan forced oven. can you tell me if it is? Also does it have any automatic function. e.g. set oven to turn of at a certain time?
3 answers
No, it is not fan forced like my previous oven but this oven is great. I bake a lot of cakes and pastries and am very happy with the result. Also for long cooking, eg cakes, you can turn the oven 5 to 10 minutes before and it will continue to cook. There is a timer function but I have not used it. It is really a great oven.
Hi Ros,
Mine is definitely Fan forced. Mine has the electronic count down timer feature, which will turn it off if you want.
thanks for your replies. I have bought the oven. Trial and error so far, but so happy with its fast heat up time. Old one took 20 mins to heat! And it does have the auto switch off function. Happy.
