I have had this dishwasher for over a month now and couldn't be happier. I did so much research before deciding on this one. Every single model you look at has both positive and negative reviews. This one seemed to have the least bad reviews, so fed-up with researching, I took the plunge and bought it online from 2nds World (it was brand new, not a refurbished one). It is so super quiet, I had to put my ear right on top of it to make sure it was working the first time around! Big plates fit in with no problem. There are plenty of compartments t...
Read morehat are easily adjustable. I use Finish rinse aid, and the dishes are beautifully dry. Sure, on top of upside down mugs where the water pools, is still wet, but you just empty the bottom compartment first, then the top and dry those as you take them out. Not a problem at all. Rinse aid is about $8-9 a bottle, but you don't need to top it up every wash. One bottle would last 30+ washes. My dishes have all come out nice and clean. I do rinse before I add them to the dishwasher, but even pots and pans wash great. So happy with this purchase, I love my dishwasher! Quiet, lots of space, effective Nothing- 3 reviews

Bought the Bosch SMS50E32AU three weeks ago. Believe this is a new model replacing another. Honestly can't understand why there are such expensive machines out there when we got this for $600 (ish) in EOFY sales at the Good Guys. It's almost silent (well compared to our old one) and washes the dishes perfectly. Nothing more to say - job done. What exactly are people trying to achieve spending $1000+ ... Cleaner dishes.
On another note, the good guys store were a disgrace. Took our order online even though they had no stock then spent a week...
Read more trying to convince me to buy another brand. Finally offered me this new model for the same price after many irate calls. Delivery man was a beast, banged into my gate, bashed into my wooden cabinet and then spilt water all over my kitchen and then carpet whilst removing the old machine. No regard for people's homes. Also rude on the phone when arranging delivery time. Definitely prepared to pay more next time and shop elsewhere. Does the job - no more to say! :) NothingHi Sierra19,

This dishwasher had issues from the second week after purchase. The start button doesn't work properly and you need to press the button slowly. After calling Bosch to rectify the situation, I was instructed that as it was an intermittent problem. That if the service tech attended and the fault did not occur I would be required to pay for the call out fee. As this was the case I think that it was poor customer service :(. We never did any thing about it as the call out fee was almost half the cost of the dishwasher. So all in all the dishwasher ...
Read moreperforms fairly well although it doesn't clean all dishes very well. We use rinse aid although our cups seem to hold water on the base and do not dry very well. If plates are stacked in the spacing provided by the rack they do not clean thoroughly, I suggest that a space be left between plates if there dirty. As the dishwasher is manufactured in Turkey the quality is not the greatest wheels on bottom tray keep coming off, which is quite annoying. We are a family of 5 and run the dishwasher at full capacity on a daily basis. I wouldn't say the dishwasher is rubbish but its not the best Ive had either. I would recommend you spend a little more and buy a better quality unit. Cheap base model Start botton issue and poor customer service
Hi George,

Set the 'Intensive Drying' function: see user manual or follow these simple steps: i) Close the dishwasher door ii) Switch the ON/OFF switch to 'On' iii) Press and hold down the ‘Start’ button and ‘Eco 45 or Normal 45’ button until d:00 is displayed iv) Press ‘Pre-rinse’ button to turn Intensive Drying on: d:01 is displayed v) Press ‘Start’ button to save the setting 2. Make sure that any items you put in the dishwasher are angled to avoid water pooling in them and make sure you unstack the dishwasher from the bottom up. 3. Always use rinse-aid (Bosch recommends Finish) as this helps water disperse off the dishes, aiding drying performance 4. Wait for about 15 minutes until after the end of the cycle and open the door slightly for around 10 minutes. This will release any residual moisture. If you find necessary, you can use the time delay setting so that the dishwasher wash cycle ends at a convenient time for you. Looking forward to hearing back soon, Regards, BoschHomeAu- 5 reviews

Great dishwasher. Dries well if you run it on the long cycle or the hot cycle
Was rather hesitant after reading all the reviews about it not drying, however..........
The dishwasher has been super quiet, washes dishes really well and so far seems to be very good quality. This one is made in Turkey I think, not Germany. Bought from Harvey Norman Wiley Park in March 2014 for $580 via debit card.
Plain white, nothing exciting to look at. Easy straightforward controls .
There were instructions in the manual on how to turn on the drying function that are different to the workaround listed by the rep below, so maybe ...
Read morethere has been an update? Anyway, when you switch on the intensive drying function and run it on on a 2 hour cycle, then leave the door ajar once it finishes, the dishes are 95% totally dry, wine glasses were perfectly dry and sparkling using either finish powerball or the Aldi powder (Finish was better though).Need to come back to comment on this dishwasher after owning it for over a year. Unfortunately the update is that I have had a total of 6 service calls now on this dishwasher. The power board, control...

This is the quietest dishwasher I've ever bought and amazing value for money. It is made in Turkey not in Germany but this fact didn't bother me. The 33min eco cycle was sufficient for daily dishes. Dishes were perfectly cleaned and no problems whatsoever. I can highly recommend this as a value for money dishwasher.

I did lot of research prior to buying this and its only due to fairly good reviews of this brand and model did i buy it. So far I am impressed with it. Its quiet and seems to wash ok but like others have stated in their reviews it doesnt dry very well. I am pretty happy with it though. I have washed it on the quick cycle and also on the 2.5 hr cycle and both seem to do well. I dont normally use a dishwasher very often as I feel by the time I have rinsed the dirty dishes and then stacked them in a dishwasher, its just as quick to wash them all b...

We found this model at Masters for a great price, and after reading some of the reviews on this site we were hesitant.
However the dishwasher cleans the dishes beautifully, is very quiet and despite what some people on this site may believe the dishes come out as dry as you would expect them to if you open up the dishwasher as soon as it is done. (Apparently they should be bone dry but this is not la la land.)
We usually set to hottest temp and intensive drying and a few hours after the cycle is finished they're dry, except where the water ...
Read moreis pooled in poorly stacked dishes. Usually is turned on before bed. Dry in morning. The only gripe is on the bottom rack where you would stack the plates the prongs are too short to support glasses very well if you have for some reason filled the top tray or have tall wine glasses you need to wash. Other than that it does exactly what it is supposed to do. Very happy! Overall it outperforms our cheap dishwasher that we had previously, in about every way. 70 degree wash really cooks the dishes up good. Quiet, cleans very thoroughly. Bottom tray prongs a little short.Related Articles
