Hello Team,

I bought this washing machines around 4 months ago and was happy with it. Suddenly, a week ago, the display is not showing the digits/signs properly and the 'start' button is not getting enabled at all. I have tried it multiple times but still it does not gets ON. If I touch other options like, temperature, rpm, it works since it makes a sound.
Can you please suggest how to get it fixed ?

Less than a year old - it's a warranty issue. Contact who you purchased it from. Unless you got it second-hand...
I presume you've tried the "Windows solution"? Turn everything off, leave it, try again?

Hi,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch washing machine.
They can be refitted by our customers. It can be difficult and may require a second person to lift the drum from the front to align the holes for a person at the back to fit the transport bolts.

Serie 4 WAN22120AU

I’ve had my WAN22120AU now since Feb 2022 and it has been great until now. Tonight was the first time I ran the drum clean setting with a very small amount of liquid detergent in the dispenser. Towards the end of the spin cycle we could hear a slight rattle which we haven’t heard before and seemed particularly strange given the machine was empty. Shortly after it beeped and was finished we went in and found our laundry completely flooded as if the entire load of water had leaked onto the floor. We checked all the hose connections and these were all totally dry, the drains under the laundry trough were all dry, so it seems to have come from the machine somewhere. We opened up the drain pump filter (plug at the front bottom right of the machine) and quite a lot of water flowed out of there. Is there something else we can check? It seems strange that we would experience a flood of this significance after only owning the machine for less than 3 months, especially when there seems to be no obvious cause. Very concerning and disappointing to have this experience with a brand new machine! Please help.

Hi just had my new WAN22120AU delivered and my old bosch WAE18061AU removed. When the installer tried to attach the hose to the tap the hose nozzle is too big to fit in the confined space to screw it into place. Do I need to get a part from bosch to make it fit, or do I have to get a plumber make it fit? We have to have the water turned off in the mean time, as we can't access the tap to turn off either, so a solution would be great. Thanks Jeni

Hi Jeni,
Thanks for your question. You can absolutely engage with your plumber to see if they can make it fit. Alternatively
we do sell a part WMZ2380 'Extension for inlet Cold water Aquastop Extension kit', part number : 00670596.
This is a 2.5 metre cold water (up to 25°C) extension kits for aquastops. This eliminates need for further piping when tap is far from appliance an allows flexibility in positioning washing machine. In order to purchase this part you can contact our spare parts team on 1300 369 744 (select option 4 and quote the part number).
Kind regards, Bosch Home Australia.

Hi Nathan,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch WAN22120AU washing machine.
The water inlet hose connects to cold water.
Please refer to your manual on page 12.
Only operate the washing machine using cold mains water. Do not connect to the mixer tap of an unpressurised hot-water apparatus.

Need information about Bosch model WAN22120AU.
I need to replace my current front loader washing machine, it's an LG and causing me issues with my neighbours. The reason is the noise the LG front washer makes when it fills to start the first cycle with the clothes. It fills with water on and off causing noise with the pipes in our building.

I need to find a machine that will sense the load once and fill the machine in go. Not filling multiple times which causes noise in our building's pipes loudly.

I am looking at purchasing the Bosch front loader 7.5 kg model WAN22120AU. Could you tell me what the dBA is for this machine as I cannot locate it on the internet, as well as how the Bosch WAN2212AU fills up with water to start the cycle? My neighbours below are being disturbed by the LG water fill and the spin cycle which is ridiculously loudly spinning on the final spin cycle. Even when I change the spin cycle to not be the highest it is still very loud.
Thanks.

The Bosch is super quiet most of the time, you may need a plumber as filling the machine once or multiple times will cause the pipes to shudder regardless.

Hi suzyqfromSydney,
Thanks for the question regarding the Bosch washing machine.WAN22120AU is 56dB washing to 72 dB spinning. Bosch machine's are no different to any other machine with regards to the amount and the way water fills up. What's important is the way in which it is set up e.g. levelling of the feet and connection/back hammer of pipeline etc. However, WAN22120AU has the ecosilence drive motor and antivibration side walls which helps with noise reduction.
If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744.

Washing 5 towels with a capsule and fabric softener, I use the cotton, speed and with extra rinse at 10 rpm spin. I sense it gets sanitised bec it gets warm a bit. Before hanging to dry a bit before using a dryer, I shake the towel to get the fibres back to place

I started the “mix” cycle, which in the book says it goes for 1hr. The machine read 1:03 when I started it. I went in after 5 mins and the machine read 1:06. Is is normal for the machine to do this? To increase the “finish” time?

Hi,
Thanks so much for answering my question. Another thing (sorry! New machine! I have read the manual cover to cover too!). If I try to put on a cycle, for example the mix cycle, if I press play it beeps back at me and doesn’t start. Often I just change the temperature or spin speed and then press play again, still on the mix cycle, and it works. Why??

I've only used my new WAN22120AU a few times, and each time the clothes come out a lot wetter and heavier than my previous (different brand) washing machine - on fastest spin setting. Is this just what I should expect or is it likely faulty?

How long are the wash cycles, and can you set any cycle to cold?

2 answers

Mike W.

Hello Cathi.

I am no expert on this, but there is a temperature function on the machine and you can set that to zero degrees. It's something that I have not used, as yet -I have only washed with many of the default functions, which as I just checked was set at 40 degrees. But I am not sure that default would be the same with all the different cycles. And the wash cycles vary from quite long (90 minutes) to very quick (15 minute Superwash). There are also many wash cycles in between this, so I don't know that I would concern myself too much with comments on this forum about the length of cycles. If there are any other questions do not hesitate to ask.

Mike

Tina
Tina

Hi Cathi, yes the long wash cycles is very frustrating, but I had somebody program the 'speed clean' option automatically, which means that the default programs are kept around 1 hour, which is acceptable. Clothes come out fine, but you may have to compromise on the load, hope that helps
