How long are the wash cycles, and can you set any cycle to cold?

Hello Cathi.

I am no expert on this, but there is a temperature function on the machine and you can set that to zero degrees. It's something that I have not used, as yet -I have only washed with many of the default functions, which as I just checked was set at 40 degrees. But I am not sure that default would be the same with all the different cycles. And the wash cycles vary from quite long (90 minutes) to very quick (15 minute Superwash). There are also many wash cycles in between this, so I don't know that I would concern myself too much with comments on this forum about the length of cycles. If there are any other questions do not hesitate to ask.

Hi Cathi, yes the long wash cycles is very frustrating, but I had somebody program the 'speed clean' option automatically, which means that the default programs are kept around 1 hour, which is acceptable. Clothes come out fine, but you may have to compromise on the load, hope that helps

We bought the latest model 7.5kg front load Bosch, installed it on the weekend. When it reached the spin cycle it took off and started to move from side to side violently. We tried it with less clothes and turned the rpm down to 400 and yet it did the same thing again! What is going on with this new Bosch machine? Please help!

Thanks for the question regarding your washing machine.
It sounds like the transportation bolts have not been removed from the back of the appliance, we'd recommend following the full instructions in the install guide before using the appliance again.

Hi, I just replaced my Bosch washing machine with this one, and when I am trying to transfer my bosch stacking kit I found out that this unit is ''shallower' and does not match the Depth of the dryer. Is it ok that the rear feet does not sit on the edge of the washing machine?

Hi Unhappy Gilmore,
Thanks for your question. We wouldn't recommend it as when the dryer spins it can become unbalanced and may fall.

That would depend on the cycle you've chosen, you can find a full list of the programs and their breakdowns under the 'consumption values' section of the user manual.

Hi Tom,

The temperature on the programs of this model are pre-set and cannot be changed.

Yes, you can change the temperature from the default BUT some of the programmes have limits on the upper value. Eg on quick wash you cannot go above 40c.
Also, you can only do prewash on some programmes. It really is rather limiting and unnecessary.

Hi there. I bought a WAN22120AU in January this year.
I am having a consistent problem with the machine where I choose the setting, alter the temperature etc, but when I press Start the machine beeps back at me, as if to reject my request.
Sometimes I need to press Start 3 times to get the machine started.
Any thoughts out there?
Thanks in advance!

Yes mine does that sometimes too - no idea why. I usually just hit that the 'eco', 'speed' or 'normal' sub setting and then it works fine. It is a bit annoying but it's an easy fix

Yes, you can. But you should also check the stackability of your current dryer and whether it requires a particular stacking kit.

Our very recently purchased WAN22120 has failed twice to wash when it was programmed to start later, even though I have followed the instructions as per the manual. I come home to find the washing unwashed and the control screen blank except for the start/reload symbol flashing. This is despite, as I said, following the instructions, and the machine doing a little shudder as the door locks after I have pressed start/reolad to set the original request. Any idea what is going on?

I have not yet used this function. However, as I understand it, provided you have pressed the 'finished in' button a number of times to get the desired time, then pressed the 'start' button, it should activate. the only thing I can think of is that the machine might be detecting imbalances, the door is not closed properly or the childproof lock is activated. Aside from that, if you have followed instructions and the 'timer' activates, all should be well. Otherwise, you might need to call the Bosch service line.

ALB
ALB

Thanks Geri, I had done all that but this time I pressed the 'start/reload' button one more time halfway through the waiting period before the machine started. Pressing that button revealed the display, showing the amount of time still to go, and then when I got home the wash had been done. So next time I'll revert to not pressing the 'start' button during the waiting period and see what happens. And yes, if I'm still having problems, time to call Bosch!

I don't know. Checked manual but doesn't seem to specify. Typically front loaders are more water efficient than top loaders. You will have to check with Bosch.
