I am having visitors from AU here in the USA that use this laundry liquid, is there any way to buy this in the USA? Or could I get a list of the ingredients to try to get something similar if Bosisto’s isn’t offered here? Thank you

Can you wash silk with this?

Customer ServiceBosisto's

Hi Bee
Unfortunately the laundry liquid is not really formulated for delicate materials like silk. We would recommend you try our "Wool & Delicates" formula instead.
https://www.bosistos.com.au/product/bosistos-wool-and-delicates-liquid-12l
It's available through our online store, or if you need to find something in supermarkets, go for a wool wash.
Hope this helps!
Kind Regards, Bosisto's.

Could you please advise what is the difference between the brown bottle 1 litre product and the white bottle 1.2 litres product which has a statement "New Improved Formula" on the front. I have been using the brown bottle liquid with no skin irritations but after my local supermarkets ran out of stock I had to buy the white bottle. Now my dermatitis has returned.

Hi Diena
The only difference is we've swapped the Palm Oil based surfactant we had used for a more eco-friendly surfactant. We're also sourcing all of our eucalyptus oil in Victoria wheras previously it had been a mix of local and imported. Otherwise the Sensitive Laundry Liquid formula is identical and has passed the same dermatological tests. Sorry to hear you have had this reaction. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to give us a call 1800 655 841 or email [email protected]
Kind Regards, The Bosisto's Team.

Thank you for your response Carla. I have ordered 2 of the original bottles (which have just arrived - great service from Bosistos) and so I am hoping that it is the old product and I won't have any more skin irritations.
Kind regards

I was wondering if this product is eco friendly and cruelty free? I noticed the bottle is recycled but couldn’t find anything else on the product. Would be a bonus to me if it was cruelty free :)

Hi Paige
Yes our entire Bosisto's range is cruelty free, we have never tested on animals. Our company is a member of the National Packaging Covenant, which aims to reduce waste through consumer packaging. The laundry liquid formula itself contains no fillers, optical brighteners, enzymes, zeolites, Sodium Laurel Sulfate or synthetic fragrances and is grey-water and septic-system friendly. Hope this helps! Kind Regards, Bosisto's.

Can I use it to wash my duck down filled jacket. It is a Katmandu product and has a DWR (?) finish? I googled their website and they recommend only 1 product to wash all their puffer jackets. I would prefer to use Bosisto but am unsure about the finish. Thanks Wendy

I wouldn't. DWR is durable water repellency, which needs to be rinsed clean to be effective. I would avoid using this product, especially on DWR products.

You can wash it with anything - just don't expect it to be water repellent afterwards - There should be care instructions on the jacket. If it were me, I'd wash with something on a gentle on a gentle cycle (like wool) and buy a can of water repellent spray to coat the jacket with after washing/drying the jacket. like scotch gard or similar. Katmandu would definitely sell a water water repellent spray coating.

Thanks for the advise. There are washing instructions on the outer detachable raincoat jacket but not the inner puffer one. I wondered whether the different materials may effect how it can be washed. Better research the DWR coating!

Hi Henry - I just checked this with our formulation chemist and he said there has been no change to the formulation of Bosisto's Allergen Laundry Liquid. Was there a reason you ask? Thanks, the Bosisto's Team.

Not that I know of though it looks like this question has already been satisfactory answered

Thanks for the quick response.

Yes - the reason is that my baby girl and I have sensitive skin. In the recent months we have both been getting an itchy skin rash so I am in the process of elimination to track down its culprit. It's good to rule out the laundry liquid.

Also for the eczema I would recommend trying the following 2 skincare products - Macarthur paw paw complete skincare and / or invite vitamin e cream @ i assure anyone it actually works wonders on dry and dermatitis prone skin though the trick is have to keep using it and both creams are not on the cheap side.

Hi Game On, thanks for asking the question and thankyou for the link to the blog article! Bosisto's EucoFresh Allergen Laundry Liquid contains no harsh chemicals, fragrances, dyes or foaming agents (Sodium Laurel Sulphate) which makes it perfect for people with sensitive skin including eczema. Its cleaning power comes from pure eucalyptus essential oil (not synthetic fragrance). In fact it's been dermatologically tested and proven kind to sensitive skin. We're Aussie made & owned too! All the best, Bosisto's.

When using Euco Fresh laundry liquid should you rinse? If yes should you use softener?

I do rinse because I wash on a cycle in a washing machine. One would not have to rinse if using the wool wash as long as you do not use too much liquid. Whether you use softener would be dependent on where you live and the quality of the water. Our water is not hard therefor I never use water softener. If you need to use softener I would go for natural product such as Lectric Soda Powder or Crystals.

Bosisto's
Customer ServiceBosisto's

Hi Patricia - Rob above has answered this question very well! It's personal preference however you'd usually run the rinse cycle on your washing machine (make sure you choose a gentle/short cycle for wool or delicates), and if washing by hand, give your garments a quick rinse with cool running water afterwards. In most areas a softener would not be necessary. Hope this helps!

brian
brian

It would be way better to rinse as the suds that get rid of the dirt get rid of most of it though a little bit of dirt gets stuck in the fibres and the rinse cycle helps / the washing machine manufacturers design and development of technology is pretty good
