    First juicer works great

    published

This is my first juicer and I wasn't sure if I would be happy with it as there seems to be teething issues with so many of them. It is actually so easy to use I am making fresh juices every day every day! It juices fruits and vegetables so fast whether hard or soft, big or small. The unit is sealed well so there are no liquids or pulp squirting out and it is quick and easy to wash and dry. Really pleased with it, there is also a recipe book with suggestions for juices and also recipes of how to use the pulp. A great way to get extra vitamins and minerals into the diet.

Hi Ukelele Boy, thanks so much for your great review! We love it when people are that excited about our products! We also love the fact that you mentioned that it is easy to clean if you simply do it before the pulp dries out! Juice on!

may be it's just me but I've bought three of these things and eventually toss them out because the wire mesh insert can not longer be cleaned and it gets all clogged up even if you clean it after each use with a brush. Why, you may well ask would anyone choose to buy three of these if they end up throwing them out. Good question, really because at this price range their is nothing that seems to be any better and it works brilliantly for a while till the little holes clog up
works fine for about a year
wastes a lot of fruit, mesh clogs up and you have to throw it away

you must not be cleaning it properly ..I've had mine for 3 years and the mesh is as good as new..I hold it up to the light to see if any fruit of veg is still in it after a good scrub under running water with brush provided

I have used this for over a year and am perfectly happy with it. It's the best juicer I've ever had. Being able to wash its components in dishwasher is a real plus.
Strong, easy to use, dishwasher friendly

The Breville Juice Fountain allows you to enjoy freshly made juice in the convenience of your own home. It is easy to use, but it is a bit awkward to clean and gets easily clogged up. It's not a bad product, but the noisy operation and time consuming cleaning involved make a bit unpractical to use every day. However, if you like to make your own fresh juice, the Breville Juice Fountain is a very useful product.
Simple to operate. Wide chute makes it easy to put in whole fruit without having to slice it first.
Time consuming to clean. Can be a bit messy.

i really love my juicer, i find it easy enough to clean, i always put an old shopping plastic bag in the container and then scrape all the pulp into it and chuck it out so easy peasy.
    makes great juice,
it does take up a lot of bench space.

Overall I am very happy this juicer. I would recommend it to others. It is quick, powerful and will juice pretty much anything.
Nice wide shute means you don't have to cut up your fruit. The powerful engine extracts maximum juice. I chose this as it represented good value for money. I have had the juicer for 4 months, use it a few times a week and have had no issues with it at all. Good for making a litre or so at a time and keeping juice in the fridge.
No cons really. Bit of a pain to clean, as there are a few components, but this would be the same with most juicers. And this is partly solved by juicing lots at a time and storing it.

We've had this juicer for nearly a year now and love using it everytime! The only downside so far is that it can be a little noisy when juicing hard fruit and vegies, otherwise it is brilliant! Orange juice tastes amazing when using this juicer and it is very easy to clean afterwards. It is also simple to use and put together as the instructions are very easy to follow. We would recommend this juicer to anyone who is after something simple and effective, brilliant!
Handy size chite which can hold heaps of fruit, easy to clean
    Can be noisy

The juicer is affordable, easy to use and easy to clean up. The wide chute is a great design. Now I can just juice up whole carrot and whole apples without the hassle of chopping them up! Best of all, its not noisy and does not rattle.
The extra wide chute saves me a lot of time from cutting up fruit into chucks or slicing them into smaller pieces.

I'd recommend this to anyone that makes a lot of juice. Not having the cut the fruit saves quite a bit of time and mess overall.
Love the large feed as I don't need to cut up fruit anymore. Motor seems to handle pretty much anything I throw at it. Very easy to use.
I'm not keen on the way the outlet spout has been designed to fit into the jug. I know it stops juice from spluttering everywhere but it means you have to tilt the machine to get the jug out. Nothing major really, just a minor gripe.

I make myself lots of fresh juice from celery, carrot, apple and other fruits. Very nice and fresh, and most important- very affortable for someone who choose to have this kind of healthy life style. In order to keep the best nutrition, i usually make a glass of juice and drink it straight away, which means I have to clean the juicer 1-2 times a day. If the clearning of the juicer can be a bit simplified that would really helpful and even more perfect.
easy to use, no need to cut fruit or vege into small pieces to juice.
it would be nice if the size can be a bit smaller and occupy less bench space.

How long do nutrients in the juice last? What is the revolution or speed?

Juice begins to oxidise as soon as it is made, due to contact with the air. This happens at a similar rate regardless of whether you use an extraction or masticating juicer, or hand squeeze. According to laboratory tests your juice still contains measurable nutrient content after 24 hours, however it is recommended that juice is consumed straight away for maximum nutrient benefit.

The JE95 Juice Fountain Plus & BJE410 Juice Fountain Max has 2 speeds maximise juice yield from soft and hard fruits/vegetables. Use low speed (7,000 rpm) for soft fruit/veg, and high speed (14,000 rpm) for hard fruit/veg. The BJE520 Froojie Juice Fountain has VARIABLE speed control (7,000 rpm through to 14,000 rpm) so you can optimise the juice yield from any type of fruit/veg.

Has anyone used the Breville Juice Fountain Plus to make vege juices (or mixed fruit / veg juices) ? I'm keen to know how it goes on Veges if anyone has feedback - it's a lot of money to spend !

Yes it is excellent for both fruits and veges..my fave is carrot apple beet celery ginger orange but any fruit or veg can be juiced in it except wheat grass which requires a very expensive proffesional commercial juicer..it also comes on special and if you think once you have made about 30 juices at $5 each it has paid for itself it is cheap really

Lets just say we have doubled the value of our machine 10 times over at least!!! several friends who opted for cheaper juicers, were not at all happy with result as the Breville one is more powerful and therefore extracts more juice, with less effort!!! I researched this for months before buying mine, have had for 4 years and since my sister and brother were so impressed with mine they too, have bought one and never looked back !!! just looked forward to fresh juice every morning :) good luck !!!
