Hi, I’m a FTM and am interested in purchasing a Graphene Tex car seat. I have a 2014 dual cab Hilux with 2 standard anchor points, no isofix anchor points. Is it still possible to safely install the Graphene car seat into my car?

Is there an age/weight/height recommendation for the padded insert cushion that comes already in the seat? I’m guessing it’s for newborns?

We just bought Graphenes for our 6 month olds and they look quite squished in it.
Does it offer any extra safety at this age that would mean we should leave it in?
Not too sure if they’re too small to sit in the seat without it...

Hi Kate, thanks for your question. The padded insert is designed to provide extra support and comfort and may be used for smaller children. Discontinue use when Baby Padded insert is a tight fit, creates discomfort for larger children, or the child's shoulder reach the lower shoulder height marker. Please feel free to give us a call on 1300 303 330 if you would like to discuss this with us in further detail. Kind regards, the Safe-n-Sound team.

Hi I’ve installed the Britax Graphene in preparation of our baby’s arrival. Can you please tell me why it doesn’t come with a mat? I’m a bit disappointed as I now have to go purchase one and pay for the seat to be installed again!

I was involved in a car accident and we replaced our Millenia for the Graphene as we have twins and it was slimmer than the Millenia. However when trying to pull the straps out, they don’t seem to loosen as far as the old car seat and it’s much more difficult to actually get my child in and out. Am I missing something?

Not sure. Ours loosen quite well. The only thing I can think is to check that the clunky metal clip on the straps at the back of the seat isn't caught. Britax might be able to help.

I'm having twins and wondering if the Graphene seats would be able to sit side by side in a 2007 Subaru Forrester and a 2018 Toyota Hilux??

Hi Julie,
Not sure but we went to baby bunting and they brought the display seat out to the car so I'm sure you could do the same to try it.
All the best with your beautiful babies!

As mentioned above, your best option would be to try them in store. The Graphene is one of the slimmest seats available, but keep in mind that you cannot switch the tether side on the Graphene.

Hi Julie, Thanks for your question. The Britax website has the dimensions and specifications of the seats or alternatively, you can visit your local baby retailer store where you may be able to try the seats in your car. HI Dee, thanks for your question. We don't believe that the Graphene has been tested by CREP at this stage. We would suggest that you contact the RTA - 132213, NRMA 131122- or RACV - 1800 134 126 for more information. Kind regards, the Britax team.

We have a Maxi Guard Pro for our 5 year old and looking at purchasing a Graphene for our newborn. Will these seats be able to go side by side? I'd like to avoid having either child behind the driver seat.
Thank you

Hi Kylie, thanks for your question. These seats should sit nicely beside one another with the Graphene width at approx 44cm however we would strongly recommend that you visit your local baby store as they will allow you to try the seat in your vehicle to ensure suitability for you and your family. Hi guys, we have a maxi guard pro and a maxi lite. We have a 2016 Kluger and I’m wondering if the Graphene would fit as the third across? I’d place it on the passenger side so as to use the isofix.

Hi,
I currently have your Britax Safe N Sound Slimline and looking at the second one for our other car, though I think it has been replaced with the Britax Safe N Sound Graphene, My question is I know in the instructions it is says to use the anchor for rear facing with ISO points Though are they required ?

In all the images you don't show the anchor being used but then they are used in the instructions.
It makes getting bub in and out a big a pain for the small car with a balance of not hitting their head and lifting them over the strap lol.

or is there a strap that can be disconnected and reattached quickly, I have seen this on other models though they were not the safer and better ISOFix that already do a much better job to hold the car seat.

Thanks

Hi Duz, thanks for your question. All convertible car seats must be fitted with ISOFIX or the vehicle seat belt and the top tether strap must always be fitted. In regards to removing the child from the seat we would recommend that you adjust the tether strap each time to avoid the child hitting their head. Please feel free to give us a call on 1300 303 330 if you would like to discuss this with us in further detail. Kind regards, the Britax team.

If you follow the strap that emerges from between where your baby's legs would be you will find a grey metal thing resting up against it. If you lift it away (or push it down, I can't remember which) you will be able to loosen it. Remember to pull it snug when your baby is in the seat.
