Product incorrect / unable to use, company refusing to respond
I ordered a Babyhood Portacot canopy to keep my baby bug free. The canopy leaves an inch gap the entire way around the Portacot (which I also got from BnG, which has been great) and cannot be fastened. When I explained this to the company, they kept insisting it was me, and that they never claimed that the mosquito net canopy, purpose built for this Portacot, was designed to keep out bugs....

I reworded the review to simply explain that the item is no good for keeping out bugs. They still haven't posted it, which suggests to me that they filter their reviews so product reviews are only positive. I use reviews to find the right products, so I personally find this in itself highly fraudulent. Ironically, I should simply have looked here first, these reviews speak for themselves. I purchased this product at the beginning of April, and the last I heard from BnG (on the 12th April), they were 'getting back to me' regarding a way to set up the Portacot canopy so the gap would not be there. I have sent photos of the gaps, the tabs that are meant to fit that clearly cannot. I have written to them every week up until last week and have heard nothing. From here on in, my weekly messages will be in the form of reviews on other sites to hopefully save other families from the drama and costs associated with dealing with this company. Side note: since my last email to them, I have measured the canopy and it seems I have been sent the incorrect size. The box must have been incorrectly marked as Portacot size when it is in fact the standard size. Hence it not fitting. Unfortunately, the company that spruces 'customer satisfaction guaranteed', refuses to respond so I will be placing a complaint with the Ombudsman. $60 is a lot to anybody - what a shame a 'small family run business' would deceive so many small families out of their hard earned money.Similar opinion? My experience is similar with previous posters – this company has absolutely appalling customer service compared to the standards of most retailers, and I suggest you shop elsewhere.

No problems!
I ordered an Uppababy handlebar cover about a week ago. And I received it today with no dramas.
I realised a few days after I ordered that hadn't received a confirmation email, although I could see the funds had been deducted from my account.
Coming on here I was a bit worried to be honest, with all the bad reviews, and had emailed them a query as to what was happening, but I actually received it in the mail just this morning so no problems at all!

Avoid at all costs
Bubs n Grubs are not a good online store to do business with. My goods arrived with 3 items being damaged. Only one part of one of the items was replaced after I complained numerous times - generally my queries were ignored. After the replacement part arrived in worse condition than the original, I simply gave up trying to get any replacement of the other two items. I wrote a scathing review which was factually correct and Bubs n Grubs responded within a matter of hours with threats of legal action against me if I didn't apologise and retract. I found it interesting that they were so quick to respond in that manner rather than concentrate on customer service.

Faulty bouncinette
I purchased a bouncinette 5th feb 2022 when I was putting it together I noticed paint and rust on the area you inserted to secure the front two sections.
I continued putting the back parts together where there are two ends that join .I connected the mesh cover and when I picked it up to move it it fell apart.
I showed my partner when he came home and he reconnected it and as he moved it came apart agin.

Unethical practices and terrible customer service
This is a first for me - I have never before left a negative review but my experience was so bad that I feel compelled to do so to warn others who are considering dealing with this business.

Questionable online practices behind a QLD-based physical store
Many reviews already posted reflect the issues with this company's online orders. I heeded the advice the first time and got burnt when getting duplicate products for my mother to care for my bub when I forgot about the site's terrible reviews.

Didn’t receive goods and no response to PayPal dispute!
Wow! After an issue purchasing from this store last year myself, I was disappointed to see my Mum had purchased my twins Christmas presents from here on the 12th of December last year using my paypal account & not only did they not arrive for Christmas, they still have not arrived even after emailing them and putting in a dispute through PayPal! We want a refund and I will take this further if this is not taken seriously!

Terrible customer service
I purchased a product that was stated as in stock on the website. When it hadn’t arrived in ten days I contacted the support team via email as there is no other way to follow up online orders. No response. i then called a physical store who told me my item had just arrived in stock and would be posted. When I asked to cancel the order was told I had to go through the online system but it was currently offline. Contacted online again three times and still no response. Warning - withholding money!
Purchased a baby seat through there online shop. Item was in-stock at time of purchase. Received a call saying the item is not in-stock and on back-order. The item was never advertised "in stock" but it was in stock. When you purchased, in bold highlighted text, it stated there will be delays as other warehouses where the stock was held were closed over the Christmas new year period. Our owner personally emailed you and discussed this with you and you knew this well before posting these factually incorrect statements. You since called and abused our staff and made threats. The team decided not to dispatch your goods as per your instructions until our owner was back from travelling. Our owner has returned from travelling today and reviewed this nastiness including the abusive nasty calls and threats and has informed us to stick to the contract to purchase and deliver the goods which are going out today.Similar opinion? Buyers beware!!
Terrible, terrible service! I placed and paid for a $310 product online only to be told that the product was not available as it was “discontinued”. I was promised a refund and have still not received it 10 days on. I have emailed several times just to be told they will “follow it up” but have not heard back. Disappointed they take money for such expensive items that are not even available and then still no refund after such a long period of time. I found the exact same product cheaper on another site and it was shipped and delivered in 2 days. Do not recommend this company at all!! Shop around and you will find better prices and better service.

Hi Beth, I have looked into this and your refund was processed - It takes a few days for banks to move money through their systems, perhaps the public holidays took them a day or 2 longer - your refund was processed as promised.

Placed order and paid for two Joie Trillo Booster seats that were advertised as being in stock on the website on 7/1/19, was contacted on the 8/1/19 to advise that they weren't in stock and would have to be ordered and would take 1-2 weeks to come in (and then be sent to me after that) so i asked to cancel the order and refund as i needed them ASAP. I purchased a cot from the Bubs n Grubs store for my son's first born.
The first part of this horrible experience was when my son did not receive the cot. We never received a phone call to inform us the cot had been return to the store. After following up with a telephone call we were redirected to the website to list our issue. Online correspondence took a week to finalise. You should speak with your siblings and get the facts before posting untrue statements. Firstly, we dispatched the cot very quickly - the courier called them and twice attempted to deliver and no one was there on both occasions to accept the cot package. It was then returned to us twice and we paid again (twice) at no charge for it to be delivered and again they were not at the address. On the third shipment we made, they were finally there and accepted it. They were called and emailed and ignored our calls and emails like they did with the courier. They then contacted us months later saying they wanted to change the colour as the colour you chose on your order was not the colour they wanted. We delivered the correct colour - it was not the incorrect colour at all. Let me be more clear - we delivered exactly what was ordered. Here is an extract of the email from your Daughter in law "Hi there, My mother in law kindly purchased a sleigh cot online for us. We were wanting to swap it for a white one rather than the English oak she ordered. Lodged ticket well before items shipped to remove item.
I logded a ticket to cancel an item I'd purchased 5 days before it was sent. I didn't hear anything from them except for 7 junk emails they sent me. When i received the item i wanted canceled I looked up how to return it in it's unused, unopened state. Surprise surprise...no refunds allowed for this situation.
Wait for your local baby store to be on special. Don't risk buying from this company. No communication at all and abuse of your email.
