I cooked the glutinous rice in the rice cooker a couple of times. It's too hard for the water measurement. The main thing is that the glutinous rice became non sticky. Not worth cooking it. I enjoy the STICKY rice. I can't tell you about the porridge or soup. I never cook both in the rice cooker.

Hi Pinya, thank you for your answer. Good to know. I think ya, glutinous rice must probably be steamed.

If you know how to cook brown or red rice you can cook them in this rice cooker without any problem. I cook red rice in general. Today I just cooked brown rice because I can't buy red rice. It was soft to my liking.

Just let the rice sit in for 10 mins after cooking completed, it won't stick at all. There is an instruction guide come with the rice cooker.
