a PERFECT pram (almost)
It's almost the perfect pram we've ever owned. got it when our first child is born.
love the flexibility, really easy to manoeuvre with one hand because more than often you need to carry the baby while strolling. great build quality, strong and everything just click. We had a pram when we think everything is in place but suddenly it collapsed while our baby in it. something wasn't clicking right at that time.
while the folding and unfolding is easy, the size of it and having 2 separate pieces is a bit troublesome. you just need that extra step to do it.

I bought the Cameleon second hand as my baby outgrew her previous pram at 6 months old. I was quite dissapointed by the canopy which doesn't cover the baby much when in lying down position, and the sun canopy let's the sun through on the sides.... I bought the parasol which is cute but pretty hopeless as you need 2 hands to change the direction and you usually don't go out when the sun is up high. A rectangular shape would be better and a centered clip, you often end up with the parasol stuck out like a second pram! The harness cuts into my bub...Read more
bies neck. The hand brake is less practical than a foot brake. It goes ok on the beach but my lovencare model was as good. My bubby seems comfortable but gets very hot in there without any accessories. I got it for the reversible seat, the rear wheels, extended parent bar and tall seat. I hope my tall bubby won't outgrow it too quick! It takes a lot of space in the car, pretty heavy and can't have much in the basket. Luckely it's easy to maneuver, otherwise I would have been really in a pickle with our daily hourly walk !

Bugaboo are the best!
When it comes to prams Bugaboo are definitely the best for ease of use and manoeuvrability. The only fault I can find is that I don't love the underbasket.
We have just upgraded to the Bugaboo Donkey (I have an 8 month old) and I wish we had of purchased this from the start. The storage basket on the side and underneath are amazing and we can just purchase the additional seat when baby 2 comes. This would be my main advice for anyone is to go for the donkey even if using as a mono for one baby.

Not Worth The Price or Headache
Did not like this pram at all. Quite pricey for the quality, have had to send it in for warranty for the brakes 3 times and in the meanwhile no replacement pram was provided, basically I have paid $1500 and out of the 7 months have not had a pram for 6 weeks which is quite difficult with a toddler.

Love this pram
So easy to use. Click together, click to recline or sit up, click to take apart. Lots of options when using the pram -- easy for the baby to lie down or sit up, easy to move the main handlebar out of the way and turn the pram into a high chair, easy to switch the handlebar over to the other side and lock the front wheels to travel nicely over rough terrain (like the local park!). I can put lots in the basket underneath the pram, and the new Cameleon 3 longer hoods fit the Cameleon 2, so I don't have to put a blanket on top of the hood anymore. Highly recommended.

Great pram, well worth the money!
A breeze to push, super easy to manoeuvre and seat is completely upright. Didn't get much use out of the bassinet but it's a very good option for newborns. The use of seat covers is highly recommended as you end up having to wash the whole seat fabric after every use otherwise (& that's a bit hard to force back on the frame). The belly bar can be covered with seatbelt covers or aftermarket handmade covers to prevent pieces being bitten out of it. Handle height is much easier to adjust than on gen1, can be done with one hand on gen2. Also, gen1 ...Read more
has air filled tyres, whereas gen2 has foam. I d recommend hand washing all materials or washing separately in a gentle (delicate or wool) cycle. Chassis can be vinyl wrapped and accessories can also be customised. Look for original sticker on the bar under the seat with date of manufacture when buying second hand. All in all, best pram we had so far, can't fault it!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

LOVE my Cameleon
I am over the moon with my Bugaboo Cameleon Gen2!
It's lightweight, folds and unfolds well, easy steering and wonderful for growing kids.
My 11 month old is in it often, there is plenty for room and I can see she is comfortable. My 3.5 year old still fits in it perfectly too.
I have had other prams, but this one takes the cake! Whilst it is expensive, I believe, for us, it has been worth it.
The only downfall is its under basket. it is quite small and hard to get too. But i bought hooks to go on it to hold bags, etc.

Love my gen 2 Cam
I bought a Cameleon gen 2 to replace my steel craft agile stroller and I love it!
The thing turns on a dime, is a dream to push and has so many options when it comes to accessories such as canopies, sun hood, foot muff, snack tray etc.
I especially like the break ( hand break rather than a foot break), and the extendable handle.
If you break something, the parts are available (such as the break cable or under basket etc), and the gen 3 hoods fit most of the gen 2.
Things I don't like are that the wheels get stuck occasionally when chan...Read more
ging from folded to normal position, and the extendable handle slips a bit and doesn't hold its position after a lot of use. However both these things have been rectified in the gen 3. It's a sturdy pram with clever things like a 2 way flipping handle, easy to steer, has suspension (changed by user at 5kg intervals), a deceptively large under basket.1 comment

Over hyped
I bought a bugaboo mistakenly thinking it was one of the best. it's not. my daughter is now 1 and 9 months and she is already to big for it! granted she is way about average height for her age, the weight limit only goes up to 16-17 kg. reclining the seat is now impossible for us also as that mechanism is now broken. all in all i found things product to be way our priced. the only good thing about it is the appearance.

Strong and well built - but................
I was considering the Bugaboo Bee+ and Chameleon (back in 2011). I chose Chameleon over the Bee+ as it felt strong, sturdy and smooth strolling. That was for my first child and, I'm still is using it for my 2nd child with an added skateboard attached.
If you're traveling to different states/country, it's best to have another stroller/pram that suits traveling because this pram is probably the worst idea to bring along to a holiday destinations......
Pros:
1. Probably one of the best Pram+stroller you can have. Sturdy and Strong

Not for everyone.
I was eyeing off these prams with every passer by with my first born. And just had to have one. Everybody and anybody had one. With my 2nd child I bought one and I must say was not for me. Felt cheap (even though it has a hefty price) and very light although pushing it was wonderful. I found it hard to take the the toddler seat off and was not comfortable with the Velcro that attached the seat/ bassinet to the frame. Very stylish but poorly designed.
Variety of colours. Can buy many colors for your canopy or seat cover. Very stylish. Great for resale.
Poorly designed was a pain taking the toddler seat off to put in the car.

Love my bugaboo
A great, leightweight pram that is so easy to push and turn. Nice looking pram with lots of extras and colours to personalise it. Baby sits higher above the ground than a lot of other prams too. It is expensive. It doesn't fold down very small as you need to take the seat off the base. So it can't be folded with one hand.
Easy to push and turn. Personalise it :)
Expensive, folds down in 2 desperate pieces

Love, love, love!
I love our bugaboo. It is being used for our second child and it over 3 years old. I love the fact I can take the cream cover off, pop it in the wash and it looks good as new. I was hesitant to spend the money but it was absolutely worth it!
Customisable colours, easy to manoeuvre.

Great pram for first 12 months
I had 3 prams, The bugaboo, mountain buggy and peg perego mini. I just sold my bugaboo. Whilst it was the most amazing and fantastic pram whilst my son was under 10kg and 80cm, once he was about 11months old this pram became a real pain in the neck and I just stopped using it as other other prams always offered a better option. If i had a small lighweight child I would have used this pram much longer. This is not a heavy duty pram for a big fat pre-toddler on long walks.
The bassinette is amazing, the suspension is amazing for a little baby, th...Read more

With just a Click and you're Off!
I was my nephews nanny for 3 years. My brother and sister in-law did a lot of research on prams before buying one. They needed something that was easy to dismantle and pack small, as they drove a Subaru that had a small boot opening. They also wanted to be able to use the pram at different stages of my nephews life. Bugaboo Cameleon was perfect, as it was lightweight, compact, fairly simple to dismantle, although I did have to have a few tries to get the hang of it, it fitted into the boot of their car, has a great turning circle and fits in s...Read more

I'm in love with this pram but I don't think that the pram is right for us
I have used out beautiful Bugaboo Cameleon for just under a year and I love, love, love it however over time from lots of daily use it's proven to not be the right pram for us in quite a few ways. On paper and in the baby shop it was exactly what we wanted, but buying it for our first baby we really didn't know what we needed out of a pram until we started to use one. Don't get me wrong, I still rave about my pram and recommend it to all my friends. Even my not-married, no-children-yet best friend has said that I've convinced her so much that...Read more
she knows what pram she wants when she does have children. But sadly the Bugaboo Cameleon isn't the right pram for us, even as much as I want it to be. The things I love about my cameleon are that it's very stylish. It is very easy to steer even with one hand and is very smooth. It also has great suspension, baby can be forward facing or face you and it has 3 recline positions. There are lots of interchangeable fabric sets and accessories to customize your bugaboo to your individual liking, so if you get bored with what you've got don't have to change the whole pram, just the fabric sets. There are so many accessories available, that it can get pricey. The best accessory that we bought was the matching bugaboo footmuff, which is the best thing to keep baby warm in winter and to stop cheeky babies from kicking blankets off and from losing shoes and socks. I would recommend everyone to get one, at $200 it's not cheap but in my opinion is essential in winter time, especially those cold Melbourne winters! Quality wise, Bugaboo are right up there and cannot say anything but positive comments. My favourite thing about the Cameleon is that the covers are easily removed and can be put in the washing machine. I've had to wash my fabric covers 6+ times (I have the sand colour which shows every little mark) and each time the covers gets washed it comes out in pristine condition. First I had a little bit of difficulty getting the seat back onto the frame after it was washed because it shrinks just a tiny bit, but I found the best thing to do was to put the covers back on while they were wet which solved this problem. Okay so here are the things that we didn't like so much... Firstly, the most annoying thing about the Bugaboo Cameleon is that it has to be serviced every 2 months. And no, that's not a typo, that's every 2 months which is even more often than you service your car. A lot of Bugaboo owners don't even know that they need to do it that often, but it does say it in the user manual. Basically the chassis and wheels have to be oiled and Vaseline rubbed on the silver studs and you have to wipe down the whole thing with a damp chamois, which is all provided in the maintenance kit. It doesnt take very long to do, but with a baby, husband and household to look after its just another task that time poor mums have to factor in. Each time I have serviced my cameleon, I've also noticed that long hairs get stuck in the gap between the front wheels and the chassis, must be from all mums at the shopping centres? The only way to get them out is to pull them with tweezers (yuck). The two part fold took a while to get used to, but I find that practice makes perfect. However I don't like how the plastic on top of the smaller front wheels gets scraped and dented everytime you unfold the chassis on concrete. Realistically you will only unfolded/fold the pram in carparks and personally I think that the pram needs to be better designed to withstand those unavoidable knocks and scrapes, which over time makes the wheels look unsightly. As I have the sand coloured base, the undercarriage basket gets wet and/or dirty when the chassis is folded and unfolded in outdoor areas as you need to rest the frame flat on the floor.5 comments
Excellent review - Hopefully the new cameleon3 fold fixes your issue with the folding/unfolding as I am hoping to get this pram.
I found your review really helpful, many thanks. I'm considering the Cameleon so am looking at all the user reviews. (I currently have a Maclaren Techno, but my baby gets scared not being to face me). Which pram have you switched over to?

I have been eyeing down the Stokke Xplory V3 though, expensive but I love the fact that baby is higher up so there is less bending over and strain on the back, seat height is adjustable and covers are also removable.Similar opinion? Must have stroller!
I purchased the bugaboo cameleon late 2011 at the time I believed it to be one of the best prams on the market with reading reviews. Since then my experience has mostly been positive, it's great that you can change colours and is quite easy to clean. I must say it does take up alot of boot space I have a Holden Captiva and I pretty much dont have any room for anything else in the boot. It is a great shopping centre pram, but if you are wanting to go off road eg. gravel roads, grass it is probbly not the best pram on the market for it. Also th...Read more
e underbasket is quite hard to get into with the bassinet and also the stroller part on. If I was to purchase another pram I would definately be taking these problems into consideration. I feel there are better prams on the market atm that would definately meet all my needs. changeable colours, lightness, comes with most extras eg. raincover, mosquito net, easy to change baby forward and backward facing. quite expensive, takes alot of boot space up, not a very big underbasket, small wheels arnt the best for off road.3 comments
Please can you help me?? I'm looking for a pram that goes off Road, I live in the out back.
Many thanks
Get a cameleon or gecko but put snow tyres on the front. Brilliant. Phil & Ted's isn't nearly as good quality as bugaboo. Bugaboo every time.

Love this pram
I love, how light it is, easy to manouvre, narrow, love the reversible seat, looks great, adjustable handle height, large basket. It is such a pleasure to push, and I get lots of comments on how great it looks (we have it in pink). I only wish I purchased this for bub number 1. My only concern is my bub is going to be quite tall and I am worried her head will hit the canopy before she is 14mths. It is an expensive pram but definately worth it. I highly reccommend it to others.

great pram
I loved my Bugaboo, The newborn bassinet is nice & big. It's light & easy to steer.
When out at a cafe I use to use it as a High Chair. Reversible seat I loved.
I really did love the Bugaboo I just wish I got more out of it. My Girl is very tall & I had to go buy another pram. I was disappointed because the Bugaboo isn't cheap!
looks great
seat is too small

Best Stroller Around!
I've been using my bugaboo for about 12 months and it is my favourite baby product! I have two other strollers and its a chore to use them after using the bugaboo.
It looks great, steering is a breeze and its pretty light weight.
My baby always seems really comfortable too. We are expecting a new baby and I plan to get the wheel board so it can accommodate both my children - I can't fathom giving it up for a doubles pram :p
Don't waste money buying other cheaper prams - you will regret it and end up spending a fortune trying to buy another to fit your needs. I should have gotten this straight up.
So easy to use.
