you may not get much use out of this so its a litte expensive for just a couple of months but it can be worth it. my daughter hates lying down, she likes to sit up and look around and when you have stuff to do, its hard. i kept it outside and i put her in it when i did washing
keeps baby in place when they cant sit themselves
my baby had thunder thighs and at 7months was starting to squash her legs so we didnt get much use out of it

Our 2 year old was wrapped in it, not for herself but for her little sister. As soon as she saw her sister sitting up she ran over to hold her hand to try to make her dance! WE added the tray and a toy, suction cupped to the tray, bub absolutely loved it. At 6 1/2 months she is close to being able to get herself out of i, so that's disappointing. I'm very glad we bought one.
Keeps bub sitting up even though she can't yet do it herself, better than a high chair at this early stage as she slumps in the highchair
I don't think we'll be able to use it much longer as bug arches her back and puts her feet on the floor at the same time, trying to get out after she's been in it a while.

A great product and I used it to place my daughter on the kitchen bench when I was feeding her, making dinner or doing dishes as she loved to see what was happening (and yes the manufacturer warns against this but we watched her closely, she was on the bench as she wanted to see what we were doing). We did not have the tray so as soon as she started to roll and show signs that she could get out we had to stop using. One of my friends came over with her child at the same age but she had chunky thighs and actually did not fit in. All in all a ...Read more
good product but I would look for a second hand one or one on sale as they do not use it for long although when they do it is invaluable. Great idea. Compact, light weight and very supportive for baby. Due to the supportive nature the spot for the legs is small and some bigger children may not fit for long (as was the case for us).Similar opinion? Great idea, very suportive for young babies who can not all ready sit unsupported, although you must may sure your baby has good neck strength and that there head does not flop around.
My babies physiotherapist recommended I get this seat for her. I find the Bumbo really supports my babies back exactly where she needs its.
There is no seat belt so babies are at risk of falling out so you need to always supervise your baby when using the Bumbo plus never put it up on anything as I have heard that alot of babies have been hurt falling out when raised up high.

I bought this for my 4 month old and found it as a great alternative to a high chair. I took it along with me in my luggage to the US and would find it as a God send as he would sit in his Bumbo while we ate at restaurants. We'd just place bumbo on the table. It was a bit bulky but nothing like a high chair. He was right in the action of it all. Great to help infants to learn balance when learning to sit up.
Easy to take anywhere. Light and colourful seat. Great alternative to high chair. Great for when baby isn't sitting up by themselves yet. ...Read more

Very happy with the bumbo. Baby is very keen to be sitting up but can't quite balance yet so this is allowing him to enjoy being upright till he gets the hang of it himself. I didn't buy the tray and now wish I had, will be going back for it.
Easy to clean, baby sits in it quite comfortably. Like the colour options. Doesn't take up too much room.
Price.

Although I was only able to use a Bumbo with my son for about 5 months, there was times when it came in very useful. I used it when I didn't have access to a highchair. I also took it with me to the waxing saloon because I couldn't fit my pram in the room, so I sat my son in the Bumbo on the floor next to me. Finally, it is terrific for photographers. I can get a head shot of a baby who can't sit up independently, without having an adult holding them from behind. I still use it when I photograph 3-6 month old babies.

Really easy to pop baby into on your way to wash your hands or grab a jacket - it's a quick and easy baby sitter. We use it for short periods of time at the moment with a 5 month old who is very proud to be sitting up on her own. We have a placid baby that is happy to sit and enjoy the action of sitting up. It's also great to have a break from holding her up yourself and to sit her up after a feed to keep milk down. Love the Bumbo!
Streamlined, light and very easy to clean. Great for helping my baby to learn to sit up by herself.
Would be awesome if you could use it on a chair / table or in the bath.

This is an excellent product! We used it from when our baby was 3 months old and found it an excellent way to prop him up as he was no longer satisfied lying on his back in the rocker/on the mat. The play tray was invaluable for providing toys and food at a reachable level. It would be more useful if the Bumbo could have straps to fit it securely to a normal chair to be used as a high chair. Very pricey new, particularly as you only get 1 year's use from it, but great quality ones can be found for under half price second hand. Well worth the buy.
Lightweight, easy to clean, portable, enjoyable way for baby to sit up before they can do it on their own.
Price, inability to use it as a high chair.

I love the bumbo - it is practical and easy to use. I would take it with me all the time and can be easily cleaned. I liked the fact it helped bubs sit up and be a part of the family 'safely' from around 3 months of age.
I love the soft texture of the bumbo and the fact it is so easy to clean. It is light weight so its not hard to take with you on an outing and saves your pram from getting grotty at meal times.
I brougth the optional table and thiat is very tricky to get on and off. I have one baby who was just too wriggly for it though - she could get out of it at 9 months.

A fabulous product! We bought the seat when we started solids and bub was still too young for a high chair (used to slop to one side when we attempted to sit him in one). Since then we've been using it for every meal and also to have him nearly when I'm hanging out the clothes, doing things in the kitchen etc. I love the support it provides for baby, and that it's so portable. Even though it's on the pricey side and has limited time span, it's worth every dollar spent as it's something we use at least 3 times a day every day while baby stil...Read more
l fits! We simply love it! Against the manufacturer's advice we actually also put it on a normal chair to double it as a high chair (but my husband and I sit on either side of him to wedge him in, and we never leave him there unsupervised). We've found it a good tool for taking photos of him too! light weight, portability, supportive to baby. Isn't safe enough to use on elevated surfaces, optional play tray can be tricky to put on.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Attractive in design, available in lots of different colours to match your home, it is also very easy to clean after baby's attempt at self-feeding. I initially avoided buying it due to cost, but my baby's refusal to do anything but lie on his back had made me desperate. His physiotherapist recommended it to encourage prolonged sitting. I should have bought it earlier, and have already bought several for my friends' little ones.
Soft moulded plastic fits his little bottom snuggly. Its size means it is easy to store. The tray (an extra) means that he will more easily play with finger-food
Cost - it is more pricey than its competitors.

These seats are a good idea and help to amuse babies before they can sit properly on their own. It is best to try and find one on special or second hand as they will not be used for that long.
A good way to give baby some sitting up time before they learn to do it by themselves. Also provides a bit of an activity for baby and they can sit in the seat and look around more easily. Keeps baby occupied.
These seats can be expensive and can only really be used for a short time so is best to try and find one second hand as you will not probably use them a long time.

A great seat for those who can't use a high chair yet. Can be used anywhere and is really easy to clean!
We bought this seat second hand when our daughter was 4 months old. It really saved my life as she needed to start solids early and couldn't sit in a high chair. It has a high back so supports the baby really well and the moulded plastic is comfortable and really easy to clean. I often pop my baby in it on the floor in the kitchen so she can see me. It's so light we often take it with us when we go to friends/family for meal times.

A bit expensive. I use it to feed baby sometimes but as it normally involves me wrenching him out of it and leading to a bit of a crying match I don't use it as much as I thought I would. Good for lean babies. It was given to me as a present.
Soft molded construction. Baby sits up very well in this. Light. Easily cleaned.
Expensive. Baby's thighs get stuck. He is a bit chubby and sometimes when we pick him up we really have to tug it off his thighs. He then gets a bit upset.

It's an excellent seat for around 4 months of age until your baby is able to hurl themself out of it!
This baby seat was great when my daughter was 5 - 8 months old. We fed her in it (so easy to clean - nowhere for dirt to hide or stain), put her in it when I needed to hang up the laundry, etc. It's very useful for going on picnics, travelling, etc, where you know that, wherever you are, the baby will always have a place to sit and eat - the bumbo doesn't depend on a table or a chair to attach onto.

I used the Bumbo Baby Seat for my bub before he could sit up on his own in a high chair. It was fantastic for feeding him - I placed it up on a table and could feed him at eye level. It has also lasted really well. I received the seat as a hand-me-down from my sister who used it with her three children, and it is still going strong! Bub was also starting to get quite bored and frustrated at always being on the floor, and sitting up gives him a better view of what is going on around the place.
Gives bub soft cushioned support and allows them to sit up before they can on their own.

This is a great seat.
It is one of the best baby items bought so far.
He used to sit in the Bumbo seat and played with hanging toys (from an activity mat) when he was about 5 months old. When he started solids, I used to feed him in the Bumbo seat beacause he could not sit in his high chair comfortably at the time.
Even now he can sit up on his own, he still sits in it at snack time. This reduces the mess he makes around the room !
I love babies sitting bumbo seats. They look so adorable!

I think the Bumbo is an essential item for babies. It really has helped build her neck strength and enabled her to play with her toys earlier then if she was just lying on the floor or limited to playing with ehr toys on someones lap.
I love that it has a soft moulded construction which can be cleaned very easily. It comes in a range of colours, we have the lilac one and it is different to traditional pink and blue. I love that it really holds my daughter in and upright when i need to cook or clean and the play tray is great.
The only downside is becuase it is a moulded 'bucket' seat, my refluxy daughter vomits every time I put her in there. Just means extra cleaning for me.

Does the bumbo come in more than one size?? I put my 4 month old daughter in it and I had to squeeze her into it. She is almost 6 kgs.

I'm having the same problem especially with colder weather and more clothing on. How are they meant to fit when they are bigger?
