Excellent product if you use it right
After back and forth deciding weather to buy or not, we are finally decided to buy and did not regret it at all.. Eventhough I have only been using it for 2 months. At first, I put him on it when he was just 3 months old, and he loved being able to look the world from other perspective, Then we used it when he starts solids at 4 months old, boy I was glad to use bumbo instead of his bouncer/swing as it is very easy to clean.
I also used it when I'm cooking, and he just sitting on the floor watching me cooking or playing with his toys. Defini...Read more

Easy to clean, but child must be supervised.
After using a bouncer then highchair for baby #1, I bought a Bumbo for baby #2. At 5mths she was able to use it for her first solid meals, but by 8mths she could escape out (smaller baby). She is now 11mths and still uses the Bumbo but can now turn onto hands and knees and crawl while still "in" chair. This doesn't happen every mealtime and she is pretty happy to sit in it while she eats. My 2.5yr old can also fit into the Bumbo but it's a very snug fit.
I bought pink as I am pink crazy (2 little girls) and also purchased 2 covers from ebay. I...Read more

Bumbo seats are brilliant for bubs
A brilliant addition to baby furniture, can be used from 4 months onwards ( from when a baby can hold it's head up).
Practical, can delay buying a highshare, allows bubs to be part of a family
Needs supervision when baby starts turning

One piece of baby equipment you can't go without
When expecting parents ask me what pieces of baby equipment are an essential, this is one product I can't go past telling them about. Our daughter was in her bumbo for short periods of time from 10 weeks. She started her solids sitting in this chair and would sit in here endlessly when she was 5 months old playing with toys and watching the world go by from the lounge room window. It came with us on holidays, as it was relatively portable in the car, and tray was also handy. She hated her bouncer but loved sitting up in her bumbo seat. I also found it helped strengthen her back also.
assisted in strengthen babies back

Best baby seat on the market
This is the best baby seat on the market. Perfect for assisting baby to sit up and the added tray feature is great for younger babies that cant quite grasp toys and need them infront of them. I would definately reccommend this for feeding esp when baby is starting solids (way easier to clean than a highchair) - tray is a must have!! Only small downfall is that if your baby is on the larger side she will grow out of it fairly quickly however the resale value on these seem to be well worth the initial purchase as its nearly impossible to damage o...Read more

OK
Although my baby and myself loved using the bumbo, when he was not yet 7 months I had him on the dinner table eating with the rest of us, when I turned my back to take my daughters plate away, my son fell out of the Bumbo, onto the kitchen table then onto the kitchen floor, miraculously not hurting himself. Will never ever use the Bumbo again.... To think about what could have happened to him, will never forgive myself. I just suggest that if anyone does use the Bumbo, they never take their eyes of their child in it. Don't believe that they ...Read more
will never fall out because it will happen.. It was very handy for my son from about 4 months. He loved that he was able to look around and watch his brother and sister. I used it to feed him in and was very handy to put him on the kitchen table while we had dinner. Don't like that fact that he was able to fall out of it.Similar opinion? Great if your kid can fit in it!
This is such a great idea and works very well! Bub is securely in place and he loves being able to sit up like a big boy. The downside of it is if you have a healthy chubby little bub like mine, he won't be able to sit in it for long! His thighs are a bit chunkier than the average 4 month old and I feel like his legs are cramped in there and it's harder to get him out without another person assisting.
Oh well....maybe for future #2 bub??
Sturdy, well made, easy to clean, portable, bubs can sit up by himself and feel like a big boy!
Expensive, not exactly one size fits all, can be too small/tight for bigger bubs...for a fast growing bub this will be outgrown very quickly.

OK
i only used this fpr a couple of months when bub was very small was not suitable and now that she is older too big for it, she prefers sitting up on her own
helps baby sit up, light and easy to carry and travel with, not easy to feed in
short life span 4-11 kg i think

Our little boy loves it
My baby loves to sit but not quite there on his own. he loves the bumbo as he can sit unaided so we can interact with him when he is sitting more. It was a fantastic purchase.
the ability for our bub to sit in the chair without us holding onto him
have no bad comments so far

Awesome product Bubs loves it
We high recommend the bumbo baby seats!
These are a godsend, especially with the play tray option.
They are extremely comfy for baby, the other brand we had was not even in the same boat as the bumbo.
I now know why they have such a great name.
Comfy, good value, baby likes it, has a play tray

Love our Bumbo!
Great product for use in those 'in-between' months when your baby just wants to be around & interactive with you and not stuck lying on the floor. We use ours every day as an interim high-chair because she really doesn't fit well in her high chair yet and this way she can be up on the bench/table (note: not recommended by the manufacturers) and be at the same height as us.
However, without the tray on, our baby is starting to twist around in it & gets one of her legs up (she's 7months) so unfortunately I won't be using it (without the tray...Read more
at least) for much longer as I think there's a serious safety issue and can see bub tipping herself out. Hopefully it gets a second run though once she's worked out the twisting and tired of that new skill! Our Gymbaroo teacher told our class not to buy one as they're bad for baby's posture. Honestly - I can't see what the problem would be, our baby seems to sit up perfectly straight in hers (we didn't try using this product until she had perfect neck control). And I guess it's like anything, use in moderation. Our baby is only in hers for probably max. 10-15mins at a time. For what will probably be 4-5 months of every day use (3 times per day) - I think it was money very well spent. Great seating option for my baby. We use the tray all the time - it's great to put toys on it so my baby can reach for things (and knock them off!), bang on it with a spoon, etc. She looks more comfortable with the tray too - has something to lean forward on if she wants. If I had a really chubby bubba then probably wouldn't get too many months use out of it as legs do get stuck but for our 50th percentile babe, there's no sizing issues.Similar opinion? stunning!!! i love it for my bub
when it first came i was nearly jumped thats how much excited i was.
i put the tray on and put my bub straight away. it is the best seat for her ever..(coz i bought some other brand before)
will be good for 5 months actually but i just got the info from my cousin when my bub was 6 months so i order it straight away.
very steady, light weighted, easy to clean and even good after bad days on BLW with a brocolli and carrots on it and go jump to the bath straigh away.
it is pretty hard to put bubs in when the tray is already clipped, and pretty much small for a long term use.

Excellent
I wasn't going to buy one of these as I decided that I would just use the highchair to sit my daughter up in when she was old enough. But we were given one when she was about 5 months old and I wish I'd gotten it sooner!! We bought the tray for it, and it quickly became the most used baby item in our house. She used it for sitting up and playing with toys, finger painting, eating and just watching me while up on the bench (no not recommended) while I was working in the kitchen. I take it outside and let her sit and watch me hang the washing, ...Read more
as we don't really have much grass in the backyard. I've even used it in the bottom of the shower while I've been showering (again not recommended). It wouldn't work in the bath as it would float. A great product and I'd definitely recommend!! Babies can sit up in it before they can actually sit as it's very supportive. If you add the tray, it can basically replace the highchair for ages. Very lightweight and easy to clean. A little seatbelt would make it even better, as my daughter does try to kick herself out of it when she gets sick of it.Similar opinion? Good for a few months
I got the bumbo second hand as I've heard that they do not use it for long but I find it really good value for money. We started using it when bub had good head control (about 3.5months) but only for 5-10 minutes to start with, removing her once she starts to slump in the bumbo. It was great for those in between months, a good change from lying on her mat or the bouncer. She loved having toys on her tray and playing with them. Sometimes she would cry from being on the mat for too long but once I put her into the bumbo she would play happily on ...Read more
her own for another 30mins. Also very useful to put her in when I'm hanging out the laundry. The only thing we found is that the tray can be fiddly to put on when bub is in it but if we put it on first then it's very difficult to put bub into the seat. I would definitely recommend the seat but try to get it second hand. Stable on the floor, non slip. Great change in environment for bub. Very handy to put bub in while doing things like working in the kitchen/laundry. Easy to clean. tray is hard to put on when bub is in it already but if you put the tray on first then hard to put bub in. Seat is not very big so will not last for very long especially if using cloth nappies. Expensive if bought new.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good
this is a good little seat for the young baby who needs or wants to sit upright. great for baby's that have reflux as the upright position is more comfortable for them. only of use until baby begins to try to get mobile - after that they tend to get too frustrated not being able to move. a well made product and very stable (please read the instructions tho - this is designed to go on the FLOOR not a surface where baby can fall from)
when used properly this a great safe little seat for child. well made. great range of colours.
if your baby has really chubby legs you may find that they don't fit in this seat well. pretty pricey for limited life span

Excellent
I used the Bumbo with both of my very different children. It is great when they are very little to let them be a part of dinner preparation for example. I found that my older son was fine without the tray, but my second son needed it just to discourage him trying to get out! I used it on the Kitchen bench (manufaturer warns against this...) and it has been fabulous. The tray is tough to get on and off, but I think that is good in the sense that bubs can't get it off on his own! For those who feel it was only useful for a short time, my 4 year o...Read more

Its very handy to have!
The Bumbo is a very handy seat for us! My baby gets frustrated lying in her bouncer and is constantly trying to sit up - even though she can't sit up yet (not quite 4 months). So we put her in the Bumbo the other day - she absolutely LOVES it. Means I can go hands free again as well and get a few things done around the house.
Its very easy to clean any spews, etc and they hold their value really well. We got ours from my sister who has used it for her 2 kids, and it will go back to her again when they have their next baby. Very hardy indeed!
Easy to use
Worried about it tipping over

OK
Was a great seat for my second baby when she started to sit up, as it allowed her to sit up completely and fairly securely, and look around. Once she was able to twist and throw herself around at about 6-7 months though, she nearly fell out of it, and I stopped using it. I would NOT leave baby in a Bumbo unsupervised as a safety precaution. It was a great alternative to a highchair while we were travelling, and also to take to playgroup. The Bumbo was also very easy to wipe clean after meals. As we were given it second-hand, price wasn't an issue. I would not have bought a brand new one though, due to expense.
easy to clean, baby can sit up well
not entirely secure

Good
I used this product far less than i thought i would. It is great to take to playgroup so baby can see the other kids and i can have my hands free. Its also great if i need to get housework done and i need to know that baby is now crawling throughout the house. His legs do get stuck in the leg openings, but it doesnt seem to worry him.
Allows baby to sit up and look around
Peace of mind knowing baby cant get out
Lightweight
Comes with tray for toys/food
Easy to clean
Babys legs do get stuck in the leg openings
Baby will grow out of this before the recommended age of 14 months
Expensive for such a short use

Does the bumbo come in more than one size?? I put my 4 month old daughter in it and I had to squeeze her into it. She is almost 6 kgs.

I'm having the same problem especially with colder weather and more clothing on. How are they meant to fit when they are bigger?
