Found what I wanted but the true cost is hidden by the process
Estimated shipping costs provided during the bidding process didn't make it clear that the price of shipping was not included. Upset to find that I was charged more than 50% more than the purchase price to ship the thing BY SEA and uninsured! In reality I might as well have bought a new part from Europe and be done with it.

Professional and super fast delivery
I’ve always wanted to buy from many sites from Japan and finally found Buyee. Every update regarding the purchase is communicated via emails promptly. The steps and instructions of placing order, combining orders and shipping queries are all clearly stated in English. Payment options are secure and various. Shipments are packed professionally carefully and arrive super fast. Buyee has made purchasing from Japan so much easier and accessible!

easy and convenient
Very easy to use, covers a wide variety of online shops, the occasional promo or discount is good, would prefer more frequent, final exchange rate a bit high as there is a mark up on market rate.

Easy to use but hard to add deposit
Not entirely your fault but the website doesnt allow me to select paypal as default payment option for bids which is troublesome as some bank cards dont allow use on buyee.

Easier Than Other Services
Easy to bid and process after a win. Fees are fair but postage cost can be a high so I try and buy a few items and consolidate the costs.

Yahoo Auctions on Buyee
Buyee is the best way to find what I am looking for, compare prices from various sellers, and makes it possible for me to purchase Japanese products and then Buyee posts o/s to me. All my items arrive in a timely manner and safe, with great packaging. The inspection service is handy too for my collectable items.

Pricey but good
Buyee is the best consolidation and shopping site for Japan, especially for yahoo auctions. It’s also convenient as you can buy from Rakuten and Mercari and ship it all together

Let's hope this is a good start
Well translated website which is really intuitive to start with. The service charge however is slightly expensive in my opinion. Will get more auction done if my first one goes smoothly.

Buyee, A Place That Has Proven To Be Leaps And Bounds Ahead Of eBay
I've been a customer of Buyee since 2022 and have been blown away by the variety of items for sale, whether it's the auctions or the the normal shopping tabs. Regardless of where you go, you won't be disappointed!

Surprise shipping fee
This is the first time I've bought here and the shipping fees are the standout surprise. Site is generally well setup as are the translate features. I feel inclined to buy another item or two to consolidate and spread the shipping cost a bit.

The packaging was in secured safe cardboard. Box. And the shipping was very fast.

Rubbish website!
Due to COVID-19, Japan block postage to oversea, but they refuse to extend buyee points expiry date. Walk away from this company, there are other site much better than this.

Great for general things!
I've been using Buyee for around 3 years now. Never a big issue. Bought a lot of stuff over the years, car parts, clothes, models as well as some vinyl records. Never had a thing arrive damaged other than what was already advertised in each auction. The protective packaging is usually very tight, however when consolidating packages, the final package ends up being massive which eats into the shipping price. Speaking of, the shipping can be quite high at times, although I do not fault them for the high shipping price as that is determined by the...Read more
courier company, it would be nice if the package consolidation and package protection took this into account to try to minimise shipping prices as feasibly as possible. I feel the packages could be more tightly packed with the protection in place, therefore lowering the volume weight. On every auction Buyee will take a service fee as well as an optional plan fee (A combination of package inspection when it arrives at the warehouse and insured delivery from the seller to the warehouse). These service fees can stack up, especially the plans as if you got insured delivery, the delivery to the warehouse would be much higher than expected and you'll be charged that after winning your bid. You end up racking up fees very quickly and with the high price of shipping, I generally have to buy many things over a month to make my worth. Buying an item for 2000yen can very quickly be 3000yen + extra shipping to their warehouse + taxes. However, they do have frequent promotions for these fees, just last month the service fee on Yahoo Auctions was waived in full for the whole month of March. I think during those times, its best to take advantage of it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great service to find and receive treasures in Japan
Started scouring Japan's Yahoo Auction via Buyee and was able to find the figures I've been looking for. After winning a couple of auctions though, I learned that I still had to pay for the shipping from the seller to Buyee's warehouse. This can add up to a large amount if you're not careful, so I suggest always checking what the shipping fees are in the description. However, since Buyee was doing a promotion to cut service fees, it felt balanced out. During the times I had questions for things like shipping and fees, contacting Buyee's customer service is great as they responded within a day for most of my inquiries.

Regular user of buyee here and never been disappointed
I've been buying some clothes from this site. Promotions in buyee are quite reasonable and quite generous. i.e. free international shipping fee promotion. Customer services were quick and responsive. I am looking forward to more promotions that can decrease the international shipping fee. So far, they have never failed me with any orders and I have used their services more than 10 times. The products I have bought were represented well prior to the purchase so I always got what I expected.

I will recommend Buyee most of the time
Been using Buyee for years now, as I usually have parcels coming from japan on a regular basis.
Tried other forwarder previously but due to Japan Post changes (no longer delivery parcel with high alco content) which only leaves DHL as one of the few carriers, it makes Buyee almost the sole forwarder provider to me as they deal with DHL efficiently.
I have read reviews regarding problem other runs into, I suppose this is also a cultural thing.
Japanese are really efficient and by the book people, they stick to the rule tightly but when somethin...Read more

Cheap can end up being very expensive. Buyer beware when buying "bargains" from Buyee.
Want that Gundam or some other unique Japanese item direct from sellers in Japan? Buyee is the place. It is a proxy service so you can bid on items from Japanese auction sites like Yahoo Auctions Japan and online stores such as Rakuten. The selection of items is definitely endless. The problem is the costs involved. Buyee offers a service so there are fees payable. Typically, they start at around 500 yen for the basic service. Once an item arrives at their warehouse, they will let you know and they will provide about six postage options to send...Read more
items to you. The problem is domestic shipping from the seller to the buyee warehouse within Japan. This information is not clear or non-existent regarding the cost. If a heavy item is purchased, this could end up being tens of thousands of yen which the buyer (you) need to pay. All of a sudden, the bargain item ends up being very expensive sometimes more than buying in your own home country. End of the day, buyers need to be aware of that bargain in Japan can end up being very, very expensive. Buyer beware!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Long time Buyee user
I have used buyee for several years to get many different products. I think many people simply do not know how to use it. If you want full protection of your products you must purchase with a plan. It is then best to wait and consolidate many packages together as this brings the international shipping fee down overall. Yes the fees are high and they add up fast, but you are buying from another country and the items need to be warehoused, packed and shipped.
