Takes great photos
I bought this camera six months ago. The picture/video quality is great and it has a very friendly interface. It is very light and portable and great for the everyday photo.
Purchased in December 2021 for $500.00.

Canon G7X Mark II
I bought this camera a couple of months ago for my Youtube channel and I am so impressed at how good my videos look! Unfortunately, I don't have a house with a lot of natural light, but it doesn't prevent this camera taking amazing quality videos. Definitely recommend it! 5 stars!

excellent camera
this camera is amazing - it takes pictures at the same quality as an SLR however it is a compact hand held point and shoot type device. I love the size, how light and portable it is and that you can take great quality images and video, on auto. There are many options to change the settings which can help with any lighting issues. I use this to record HD video as well which turns out perfect. Great price, great starting camera or even good for a professional.

Great Camera but Poor Daytime Performance
This camera is everything you want it to be at the best possible price relative to all the other, 1 inch sensor, premium digital cameras on the market now, but with one *huge* fatal flaw. Unfortunately, the daytime photo clarity is abysmal for a premium 1 inch sensor camera. It has tons of excessive noise all over the entire photo, it is barely on par with a standard compact with only a 1/2.3" sensor, highly highly disappointing for people wanting to purchase a premium compact with a 1 inch sensor. Lastly, to worsen the blow, the corners are ex...Read more
tremely blurry and lacking in detail at 24mm (the default zoom). The whole point of owning a premium 1 inch sensor compact is so that your photo quality and clarity is second to no phone/standard compact and is virtually identical to DSLR cameras. You won't find that here in daytime photos. Night time photos, indoor photos, zoom, speed with/without flash, wifi/nfc connectivity, flip screen are all top notch. Everything was great in that department, this is the fastest camera to start up relative to all the competitors at the moment (Sony RX100 I - V series & Lumix LX10). Videos on 1080p are large enough, not missing the fact that it can't record in 4K yet. Having said that, if you're not one who likes to zoom right into the photo at a 1:1 scale, you won't notice any real difference once zoomed out back to a standard 1080p monitor. But then, why would you be look at paying all that money for a premium 1 inch sensor camera? Might as well just stick to the standard point and shoot or your mobile camera. I can't believe that Canon got absolutely everything right except the easiest one, daytime photos.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
