Our Claro Whisper DC remote has started continuously flashing blue. I have replaced batteries, and re-paired, but the fan speed doesn't adjust anymore, and the light only occasionally changes. Have to turn off light switch most times to stop the fan, which is stuck on 6 so we can't use it at all.

Hello, the remote control makes a beep noise every time we turn the light on and off using the remote. Is there a way to turn this noise off?

Living in a cyclone area I have been told to get a fan where the blades are easily removed. Is that the case here?
Hi Patrick,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Our fans are fairly easy to put together, however they require some tools and time to finalise the whole process.
We highly recommend you to visit a ceiling/wall fans specialist, as they would be able to offer more suitable products for your particular situation.

Impressed with level of service. Rather than trying to smooth over my “objection” you suggested visiting a specialist. Definitely buying your fans.
In the event of an upcoming cyclone, why not cover the entire fan with a large garbage bag?

Does the remote control cause the fan to beep when used?
Mmmm no, there is no beep at all. Its just activates.
Thanks for your response redrocket. Do you have to cycle through light settings when you turn the light on? Or does it keep the last setting used?
Hi Elliot, the remote control on our Whisper fans does not emit a beeping noise when you press the buttons. We hope this information helps! Kind regards, Stuart from the Claro Team.
Hi Stewart, thanks for the helpful response. Can you please tell me if you have to cycle through light settings when you turn the light on? Or does it keep the last setting used? Also, is the LED light panel user replaceable? Or do you need an electrician to replace it?
Cheers!
No problem! The Whisper has CCT memory function, so it will remember the colour temperature. It does not however have brightness memory (so if it’s dimmed at certain level, turn back on, you will have to go through the dimming steps again). Yes the LED panel is user replaceable :) Hope this info helps!!
Thank you once again for your prompt and informative reply Stewart. This fan has now made my short list!
Happy to help :)
Am I able to replace the LED light without using an electrician? How much are replacement lights. Thanks
Hi Bron, we're very happy to say you can! All stockists carrying the Claro Whisper will be able to supply you with a user replaceable LED panel, but you will need to contact them directly for pricing. We have a full list of stockists on our home page https://clarofans.com.au/ and if you have any further questions, you can reach us by emailing [email protected]
Has anyone had this fan installed in the bedroom? If so, how do you store the remote for when you come home as such and walk into a pitch dark room. Do you have a wall switch to turn the light on, or do you fumble around for the remote???
Hi Rob and Jeff, the remote comes with a cradle, so it can be mounted to the wall and operated from there. This is the way the fan is designed to be used, and it gives you access to the light’s dimming and CCT function. We generally don’t recommend switching the light on and off using the isolation switch as it cuts power to the entire fan, not just the light. Although it sounds like using the isolation switch is working for Rob at the moment, we have had advice that switching the light on and off this way may affect the lifespan of the fan. If you have any further questions, please email [email protected]
As above, remote mounts on a holder you can fit anywhere. When you enter the room and hit the wall switch the light comes on, then you can use the remote for all the various functions. I had the same question as you before I installed it as the unit replaced the ceiling light. Am happy with how it turned out.
