Classic Patios and Pools
Very disappointing quality of some items and poor after sales service
During construction of our 50square meter enclosed alfresco/sunroom, multiple errors occurred:-
1)The installer creatied 3 different sized double slider entries along one 10m wall, so the frame had to be rebuilt with visible signs of the patch ups remaining.
2)The concrete slab was out of alignment so a siliconed glass panel had to be removed, slab cut and glass refitted and glued. Visible signs remain.
3)Even after measuring 3 times the glass providers-Wanneroo Glass still made errors with the doors and had to remake some of them.

Read moreour troubles started it took us and a Classic Patio supervisor 12 months to convince the owner of Classic to come out to inspect our home. Even then only one problem has been attended to in the 19 months since completion. Firstly we had a major leak in a gutter join. After at least 5 attempts we think this is now resolved. 3 months post completion 'powder coated' metal started corroding every 20cm around the 15m boundary and Classic Patios do not accept any responsibility. We were accused of acid cleaning paving and a brick wall nearby, then the pavers themselves must have been at fault-the list goes on. This corrosion is most unsightly and has eaten through the metal exposing the concrete slab behind it. Chemical tests show Chlorine being the cause-well it would-the room is near our 14 year old chlorine swimming pool which the definitely saw when quoting on the two occasions he visited our home. One end of the room is approximately 1.5m from it.For the first year the owner had stated that we had to 'prove' to him that his company is at fault. A few months ago, even though he said he would attend to the repairs he has never come up any options for repair/replacement or future prevention. Within 3 months we noticed marks on the glass, but not until 5 months or completion did we realise that, 6 large panels of glass were permanently etched from mains water. The pot plants are watered twice each week during summer and were in the same places at quoting and measuring stages. Classic Patios simply referred us to installers Wanneroo Glass who passed us to glass supplier Walsh's Glass. Walsh's advise (after installation of course), that their glass will etch from mains water and even rain, so shouldn't really be allowed to get wet if you want clear glass. At the time Classic Patios did not offer eaves, the glass does get wet at every shower of rain, sometimes when children swim and occasionally when we water our pots. No warranty considered by any of the three suppliers. Had we been advised that the quality of glass included in our quote was an inferior product that should not be wet, we would definitely have chosen to spend more money for a better quality. Our whole idea of glass surrounds was that we could enjoy looking out at our garden, and not water marks on the glass.
Questions & Answers
Hi . I would like to know if i can have a flued fire in the Granny flat .
Hi Foubar. The Answer is Yes you can but there are a number of factors that need to be taken into consideration. If an open fire Soot ash can cause staining on plasterboard and has been known to attract to the steel frame areas where plasterboard is attached to the steel frame. If an enclosed fire I see no issue but would recommend you get advice from the Fire Place manufacturers as well. Ventilation may also be required but this can also effect the energy efficiency requirements of the Building. Thanks Steve
I tend not to look at 5 star reviews and I think all reviews need proof with regards images as for all we know they may have been written by the company. I look at 3 star reviews down to 1 star reviews if they have any and 10 one star reviews is enough for me to say no way to this company.
Hi Colin, I can assure you all of our positive and negative reviews are from customers who have purchased products from Classic. The suggestion they are not is unfair. Feel free to contact any of these customers direct to confirm. The Classic Team has worked extremely hard to with great products and Service to achieve this 5 star rating. Also check the dates on the Negative Reviews and you will see we have worked hard to improve what these customers saw as faults. Maybe read a few of the many Positive reviews. We do not sell steel Patios any more only Aluminium as steel Patios Rust. Regards Steve Nicholls (Director )
I'll ask product review to look into this and get them to send proof on their posts. Then a tick verified will appear next to the post.
That would be great ! Thanks I look forward to all the verified post ticks on this site.
I need a steel made patio that can hold 17 solar panels and what is the likely cost of all this please.

Hi Anne you forgot to mention that you had a Chemist in to check what was the cause of the issues and they found large amounts of Chlorine in the affected areas. This can be caused by either a swimmin...
