Bought the Cox 4500 42 inch live drive (fabricated deck) mid last year for use up in NQ on 5 acres mixed weeds & grass. Never knew we'd have the biggest wet season in 500 or so years so was a great test. Would have been stuffed without this mower.
Good - eats everything! When we bought our farm in 2002, we bought a Cox ride on. It was magic . I used it VERY often over 16 years. My husband didn't like it because there was no suspension on the seat. We then bought the top of the range John Deere, which gave up at the "sight" of grass longer than 2 inches. I still relied on the original Cox. When we looked for a new mower to replace our old Murray Sentinel which never did a good job with stalky grass, we were impressed by the idea of “off set” blades of the Cox Stockman.
We purchased the mower from the Dealer in Murgon after a quick demo out side their Store, not cutting grass.
