I bought this machine 3 years ago, second hand after it had made 10 coffees. So,almost new.
I paid $450 for it,which has been worth every cent!
Once I read through all the instructions and set the machine up for our tastes, we have been getting hot, strong coffee, just as we like it! We mainly use the steam spout, to froth the milk, but for 3 or more people I have used the milk jug as well, without any issues.
I would certainly recommend this machine! It's a pity it is no longer made.

Good machine, once set up properly makes great coffee
We’ve had this machine probably for over four years, there are three coffee drinkers in our house and this machine has been used non-stop for the whole time. Now we have purchased a brand-new top of the range DeLonghi for home and have decided to take this machine to work as my old DeLonghi at work is probably close to 10 and is starting to give some issues.
This machine has made 4800 coffees in total and still works the way it did when it was new.
Roughly one month after the warranty finished milk frother stopped working and DeLonghi happily...

I like how easy this unit is to use, no mess and very straight forward, quiet easy to clean, a bit noisy and the coffee is sometimes not quiet hot enough, I have had this machine back under warranty because of the milk jug problem but besides that it has been good, if you are after a fully automatic machine I would give this one a go, It is quiet expensive, but I purchased it when it was on sale.

Terrible quality, not worth buying
I paid $2974 for this machine in 2009, and as someone pointed out, makes good coffee when it works. However, I spent ore than $1400 on repairs. Terrible quality of parts and possibly workmanship. Never again! Spare parts extremely expensive and I tend to believe that DeLonghi is just a seller from who knows where...the name is just a ploy.

Makes good coffee when it is going but in less than two years it has been to the delonghi repair agent twice, the first time after only 8 weeks. We have had no machine for weeks at a time, plus i have had to take it to and fro. Now the third time it is broken while in warranty I have asked Delonghi to replace it but they are insisting on repairing and now there is a hold on that repair as I argue with them and they give me the run around. The strategy is to drag things out so I give in. No company can have perfect quality control on everyth...
Read moreing out of their factory but if problems are fairly settled you move forward and stay loyal. My experience is showing me Delonghi do not stand behind the products they sell and you would not want to purchase any product from this brand. The disrespect they show for your time and money is totally unacceptable. There latest machine is almost $2500 i believe, you'd be mad to buy one because if it has problems they will not accept responsibility. After the warranty you are left with a lemon which you will be paying to fix on a regular basis.

This is our second Delonghi automatic coffee machine purchased and paid a lot of money for as I'm very happy with my first purchase.
We have had problems from the start. The problem is with the milk jug.The milk is lukewarm a know issue with these machines and its also spurts and spits out milk on all settings. We have done all trouble shooting had machine serviced however its always back to same issues unfortunately.Only able to have it on cappuccino setting to get a decent amount of milk. Its a discontinued model for a reason i guess but so is my ever reliable other machine we love and use alot. I personally cannot recommend purchasing and am stuck with a dodgy machine that meant for a gift.

What a piece of Junk! Stay clear of Delonghi
So disappointed in this coffee machine!
Thought I was buying the best top of the range coffee machine. This machine has cost me a fortune. Constantly in the repair shop. Now the screen has gone, so I think it will now turn into landfill because I don't want to pour one more cent into it. My cheap coffee maker from Aldi has made more coffees for me than this crap box. I will never buy Delonghi again.
A good performer. What's with the lemon reviews?
Purchased at Harvey Norman over 4 years ago. Overall, a good performing automatic coffee machine. No issues with coffee temperature or replacement parts. Only fault is that you have to insert the milk jug twice before it recognises the jug. If that bothers you, then best to purchase ESAM 6600, older model, but very reliable. My mother has this model purchased 8 years ago and has not missed a beat since.

Purchased from Harvey Norman in 2009 and was our first automatic all-in-one coffee machine. It grinds the beans, tamps and produces the coffee. However if you want a quick fix coffee this is ok for you or perhaps a small office environment. If however you are a coffee connoisseur it does not produce things like a Flat White in the way you expect it. The coffee is generally not hot enough and the milk does not seem to texturise properly.
We have used this machine for perhaps 5 months in total as it has been in international storage for mo...
Read morest of the time and the led display now needs to be replaced. We were also informed that Delonghi also now provide a small rubber plug to put in the steam wand, which is supposed to increase the temperature although never had the opportunity to test this. On the whole the machine is ok for an automatic model and if you only want something where you just press a button for a quick office fix and not that bothered on the outcome. If however you demand the perfect Flat White or want a more hands on machine that will texturise the milk to perfect consistency, this is certainly not the one for you. This in my opinion is a good machine for those persons for example many in the UK who have not been fortunate to experience what proper coffee should taste like or who can appreciate good coffee that is produced in most decent coffee shops in Australia. Currently in the UK and Delonghi won't even supply the spare parts to its UK dealer to get this fixed. Very poor service from Delonghi. This product is not a good product we have it for 3 years and today was the 4th time that it broke

Bought this machine at a store which had a in store promo and loved the coffee it made. This machine works fine and is very user friendly once you have set it up. It would be a machine to use in office or home were you press a button and you get a coffee. Only problem is in my experience is that it doesn't make coffee at a consistent temperature and in the last 8 months I've had to replace the LED display, rubber O rings, milk jug and the water heating element which was very costly,so in other words not a reliable well built machine. I'm looking to replace it soon.

Purchased in January, now back with repairer for 2nd time. Needs O ring replacements about every 2 months. If it lasts beyond warranty we will have to purchase at about $6 a ring.

Easy to use. Nice cup of coffee. Milk system easy to operate, clean and store in fridge.
Great allround machine.
As with all fully automatic machines there are a few electronic components which may cause problems down the track, but that's where the extended warranty comes in handy.
Recommend to everyone who's looking for a fully automatic machine.
Easy to use, can't go wrong.
Nothing

Read morerranty does not cover an equivalent replacement unit unlike what I was told when I purchased this policy. Instead I was offered some basic unit less than half the cost of the current equivalent model. No thank you! The unit only lasted a bit over two years, which makes it a very expensive cup of coffee. No more coffee machines.I've owned a PrimaDonna for 5 years and it has been back for repairs at least 4 time each year - yes at least 20 times since I purchased it! One constant source of problem is the seals in the milk container - which need constant maintenance. According to the service agent, this is a design flaw in the machines. It costs $50 every 3 to 4 months. Delonghi support is also terrible - I've been waiting for 5 months for a replacement milk contianer and its still not arrived - apparently Delonghi only import spares in large shipments and its not un...
