No name brand
Firstly I was surprised to find that de longhi did not put their name to this item ?
Maybe the lady at the shop was right when she said they are all the same? (Perhaps made by 1 factory in China)
There was minimal instructions on how the item was to be fitted. More detail would have helped like what was the metal angle item for and where was it to be fitted and how. (Cover to fill in any gap between rear wall and unit. More info on the collar (to fit exhaust duct to) and how it fits into unit.
Unit case is of solid metal and is of reasonable...Read more
weight. Needs minimum of 2 people to fit. 1 to hold unit in place while other fixes screws thru cupboard above into holes in unit. A template to help with locating holes for support screws would be helpful. Unit seems to operate ok. Early days.

Great for my needs, no more smelly kitchen
I love to cook, especially asian cuisine which are famous for it's use of high heat and oil.
My old untrustworthy Technika rangehood was due for replacement, hence after doing some research i place my bet on this delonghi unit. It has good suction power (514 m3 I think), which I think quite good as anything below 400 or even 200 is just useless noisy machine.
Well if you after silent unit, forget about it. This unit is loud, but its good it means it works properly sucking all those pesky oily smelly food whatver you cooking. This unit powe...Read more
red by 2 fans hence it has incredible power to move that air. I do not care if its loud as if I'm cooking i will focus on the cooking, not watching tv or something like that. One method I always use to test the suction power of a rangehood is to grab a piece of tissue paper and hold it about 15-20 cm below to rangehood. See if the rangehood can hold it. Cleaning is also easy as its just a standard 2 pieces metal filter which you can pop in the dish washing machine. all in all happy with this purchaseSimilar opinion? Works extremely well
Works well, easy to use, retailers need to include carbon filters when selling, very hard to obtain including on the net. Easy to keep Stainless Steel clean, it does not cloud. The lot is set to automatic and just pull main frame out and the TA60 does the rest. The built in filters are easy to clean, either by gentle hand wash or as suggested in the dish washer.

Very poor quality product.
This one firstly looks nice and good, but be warned it is very very bad quality. The control panel fell down the all the plastics inside are rotten just after 2 years of use!!

This product should come with a warning in bold.
This machine is absolutely useless. It doesn't suck the air very well, with my smoke detector going off 9 times out of 10.
I went to turn it off the yesterday and it fell apart all over my cooking. The buttons section, where you control the lights and fan all crumbled, plastic and all. This was installed by a licensed electrician less than 2 years ago.
Range hood (fan) is still in place, but has a wire hanging, which was once controlled by the button.
Wouldn't waste my money on another one.
It has a light
Everything else

Great item at an affordable price
Sturdy metal frame, easy detachable and washable filters, powerful 3 speed fan, does the job well.Easy grab flat front sliding rail Three speeds Suitable for re-circulating or fully ducted Dishwasher proof aluminium filters Air movement up to.. looks really stylish for a pull out because there is not brand name tag on the front so it's just plain stainless steel and it blends in well with the cupboards 4.5 stars for me
solid feel, value for money, dual fans, color of housing
switches are recessed and a little hard to adjust, internal lights reflect back at you through housing not pointing downwards enough

I have purchased a DeLonghi - DEFR60S - 60cm Slideout Rangehood and had it installed by a licensed electrician. He was unable to make the rangehood fan recycle. I have downloaded the instructions for this model and am unable to work out how to get it to work properly. Can anyone help?

Check the slotted shield hidden behind the slide-out part, and if you can't see through the grill slots into the unit then remove the two screws holding that slotted shield in, turn it upside down, and replace the screws (you should now be able to see through the slots into the innards of the unit - this is where the recirculated air will come out). Make sure the circular vent outlet on the top of the main body of the unit is capped with the supplied metal/plastic circular plate (comes with screws), and make sure that a charcoal/carbon filter is fitted.
