Battery loses power but is still fully charged
I bought the 10 piece cordless kit, which came with 3 batteries. Battery life is really poor on all 3 batteries. They are now 12 months old and its getting worse. Drill dies after putting in 10 screws and will go through all 3 batteries within an hour. If it was only 1 battery playing up, I would understand but 3? The batteries seem ok when using the blower and tools that don't need the power.
Really disappointed and would expect a lot more from this brand.

One of my many favourite Dewalt tools
I can’t believe how good Dewalt have lasted over the many years I have used them. After using them for several years I am always able to sell them online for a great price and trade up to their latest technology. This drill is no exception. I won’t consider changing from Dewalt ever! Between their 20v & 54v flexibly tanges....Brilliant!!

A must-have for the workshop
The Dewalt hammer drill is really great.I bought it during a sale and I'm really impressed with its features. First, it has a very sturdy design, and would most likely survive a fall from a standard table. Also, it has a very good battery life. I can go through a day's worth of projects without having to re-charge. So far, this is my favorite tool in the workshop.

Indestructable!!!
Great drill, goes all day. Well prices and extremely well built. Batteries only need to be charged every day or two and are competitively priced compared to batteries made by some of the other high end drill companies. Would definately recommend.

Solid, long battery, 3 gearbox, alloy housing.
Bought from Bunnings for about $450, with 2 18volt 4AH batteries. Has a 3 speed gearbox with an alloy housing around the gear box and 22 Torque settings. Its one solid and precise drill. Did a big project with it with a few thousand Teks. Im not a tradie but it did the job for me, plus lots of small jobs. A builder I know said there are lighter drills out there if your using it every day. I agree with him, if you were using it all the time it is heavy! But I don't use it that often and thats part of its appeal to me, its heavy and solid. Light...Read more
iPhones may be an improvement, but then again the old 4 and 4s with the stainless didn't ding or scratch on the edges like the new ones do. So there is always a trade off. My experience with this drill has been very good. Although I wouldn't go crazy and use the hammer drill function to drill 10mm masonry holes in concrete. I use my old 700 watt GMC for that. From what I've been learning on ieatwords, there is no perfect product. Viva la difference. Thats why there's black and white, short and tall, male and female. There is nothing perfect, so good luck with finding the right drill for YOU!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The best Dewalt Hammer Drill
This is Dewalt's current top of the line Drill/Driver/Hammer tool and it doesn't disappoint. It's an all metal construction and you need two hands to operate. The handle is a must for hammer action. Drilled more than a dozen hole into masonry and concrete since owning this tool. The only disappointment is using inferior masonry bits. I now use Bosch Multi-Construction (blue coloured) masonry bits.
Sturdy construction. Plenty of speed and torque options for precise control.
The LED light is disappointing, doesn't light the work area.
