Improved finish, Easy of use - Awesome tool
I was lucky to pick one of these up new at an auction. Wow, as person who does not work with steel on a daily basis, I am always reserved and cautious cutting metals with any high speed tool whether it be a 4 inch or 91/4 inch grinder, drills or other device. I have had metal fragments lodge in my eye before so have been ever cautious since.
I always now wear the appropriate safety gear but this Dewalt cut off saw really does enhance the finish, reliable square or angled cuts and I just feel a lot safer using it. If you have the opportunity to use one of these over a hand held device....DO IT!

This saw is white man magic
For years I have been using the standard abrasive cut off saws which have their problems as most people would know, then I get the latest Dewalt catalog with this new carbide tip metal cut off saw!! So I search YouTube for videos on it working. It all looked great so I purchased one and all I can say is "WOW" these are absolutely magic.
No sparks (well very little) and the work piece stays cool, doesn't get hot at all. They claim it leaves no burr! but it does sometimes but nothing compared to a abrasive blade.
So far the blade is still as good as it was the first day and I cut everything from solid to tube.
And all very accurate and square as well.
Well worth the investment
